Okay folks it is time to provide your sightings and if possible photographic evidence of any hidden Mickeys that you have seen at Disneyland Resort Paris.

So what is a hidden Mickey?

They started out as a joke by Walt Disney Imagineers who would hide images of Mickey Mouse in attractions, resorts and rides. The image takes the form of a silouette

or a profile view of Mickey Mouse :)

Now it is much debated but the common agreed definition is that the silouette should be one large circle (that forms the face) and two smaller crcles (representing the ears) and they should be in proportion.
Therefore three equal circles would not constitute a hidden Mickey.

I am going to like this thread - don't know if anyone has seen this yet but there is a definite hidden Mickey on the Crush's Coaster ride. We were at the front of the coaster and there is a scene where there are sea creatures - jelly fish etc and there is one in the shape of a Mickey head. Couldn't take a photo - ride was going too fast.

Ooh good, I'll look out for that next time ~ I probably had my eyes too tightly shut this time!!

Here's one in the carpet in the Art of Animation in the Studios.

A few I've found:

On the registration plates of the cars outside lights, action, moteurs.

On the external wall of one of the studios buildings (the tv studio I think) there is a large picture of earth and two satellites that form the mickey shape.

The ceiling arches in the pizza note belle.

There's many more but my mind's gone blank! Next time I go we're going to spend alot of time hidden mickey hunting. I'll take photos of all I find.

Does anyone know how hidden mickeys started? I was told it was because when they built EPCOT, the management (Roy Disney?) said that there was to be no charecters anywhere in the park. So the imagineers made a load of hidden mickeys to sneak him in. I don't know if it's true but I certaily like the story!

Yes, that's correct. :)

Here's one in the queueing area for the Buzz Lightyear ride.

Most of them don't have the full shape (showing the nose etc...) Most are simply 3 circles (one large for face and two small ones for each ear).

Here is a website listing a few of the hidden mickeys.

And don't worry. We didn't disturb anybody. It was EMH and we had the whole ride for ourselfs. Empty boats ahead and behind us.

:offtopic: LOL, the last time we went my daughter moaned non-stop about some chap in our boat who took photos the whole way round. The more the flash went off the more she moaned. In the end I had to tell her to hush up as she was disturbing me more than he was. :rotfl:

there is one in the studios i can't think where but it's a board round the botom of a building with satellites painted on it and three of the satellites are aligned to form a hidden mickey!!!

my hubby spotted it! but we didn't think to take a pic....
