Yep that is on our windows! Trust me I am not going anywhere.

Wow! I had to go back and look at that first photo, Janet. That ice is on the windows of the house! It must be windy there too. I hope that you and Kristine can keep the power on and not go out into that stuff.

Theresa - I hope the parade goes on and the roads are dry!

Look what I got from the UP of Michigan today! Just in time to christen my tree.

I thought it was from Vicki, but the return address says Becky! So, whichever lovely Yooper sent it, thanks! I love it. :goodvibes:

We are home. Bowling was ok, Colby and Hunter had good games,, but Nick is struggling. Then Chris changed my Dad's tires and my parents took the kids. We went Christmas shopping and I think we are about finished. I really must start wrapping to know for sure. Now we are watching transformers since I had a free rental coupon. We had lunch at Panera since you all were talking about it the other day. It was quite good :thumbsup2 We would definitely go back again.

So I went shopping today and of course I did not end up finding what I went for. I wanted a nice winter jacket and shoes. I ended up with 2 shirts, 2 pairs of pants, 3 things from Bath and Body works, 2 purses for my Mom and a ton of socks as gifts from Goldtoe as it is there Friends and Families sale. They were 40% off plus an additional 25% off if you bought more then ten things.

I still haven't bought a tree to replace the missing one and I haven't done anything yet with the wreath I bought. I need to go on a mission and clean my room and get into my closet and find my sandcastle tealight set from Partylite. My Mom wants to use it for her Candlelight brunch table. I know it is in my closet, it is just a matter of which of the two chests or one box it is hiding in.

I'm also looking at shoes on Shoebuy, if you use a Paypal account you save $20 off a $50 purchase.

For those of you with crappy weather please stay safe. It is supposed to be here tomorrow and they don't know what it will be.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

We are expecting a winter storm later tonight into tomorrow and possibly beyond. They say 6 to 12 inches. It is bitter cold here so I'm sure we won't get freezing rain.

Can I have redo of today please. Nothing major just a ton of little things that have thoroughly screwed up all my plans.

First, Emma reminded me this morning that she needed cupcakes to take into school. This having 3 kids has really sucked all of my brain cells. Great, so at 7 I load them in the van and get ready to head to the store. Thankfully Gail was on her way to exercise class and offered to pick them up for me! Love her. I'd be lost without her. So I unloaded the girls back out of the van after struggling with Molly's car seat buckle for 10 minutes. It was jammed.:headache:

Then the delivery company called to confirm delivery of the fridge tomorrow. Between 4pm and 8pm. No that won't work, Emma's party is at 4. We were told that it would be in the morning, of course the helpful lady from the delivery company said "Well you were told that by Home Depot, not us" Thanks! She said well it's just a fridge it won't take long. Hello, we need to empty the old one and then restock it. Sure- let me interrupt the party and tell the guests to wait! Brilliant. The next available day would be Thursday. No, I'm not waiting another week. So it comes tomorrow.

Then the dr's office called to confirm Emma's appointment on Monday with Dr Carter. Nope that's not right- their dr is Dr Horton. I dislike Dr Carter ALOT! I specifically asked for Dr. Horton so now I'm livid. Dr. Horton is a wonderful doctor bur her office staff is completely incompetent. The only day Dr Horton is available is Tuesday. So I book the appointment even though it really won't work. I have an appointment Monday to get the girl's holiday pics taken and Eric took off to watch the boys. I figured Emma could miss the day from school and we'd get everything done. Now I've got to see if my sister can watch the boys in the afternoon and make sure that I am back so that she can pick up my niece at 3:30pm. :headache:

So much for trying to plan anything!!! Sorry for venting but Eric was driving me crazy and getting upset with me so I had to get it out somewhere. :goodvibes He cannot understand my sarcasm sometimes and takes it personally. You'd think after 9 years he'd catch on:rolleyes1

 I hope that things were better after this.

Dh and I will celebrate our 20th anniversary next spring, and we've been together for 24 years. He still doesn't get that my venting isn't directed at him sometimes. I can't just be in a bad mood, apparently. He does understand (and use) sarcasm very well, though. :rotfl:

Well we bought a new washer. As silly as it may sound I was almost in tears for having to spend the money right now. But what can you do, we need one. Here is what we got:

As long as the ice storm doesn't hit tomorrow, it will be delivered then. They are also going to take our old one, so at least I don't have to worry about that.

I hope that your new washer is there already!

That stinks! Hope you can enjoy the party tomorrow anyway. I agree with you on the dr. thing. We have a practice with 7 doctors & there is one guy I just don't want. Hope that works out.

Our peds practice has several doctors and a nurse practitioner. I will refuse to let my kids be seen by one of the doctors. Laura prefers the NP, because she is a woman. Unfortunately, two of my three favorites have died since we started going there 16 years ago.

Wow. I'm really surprised at all the DDA non-coffee drinkers. Chuck & I also don't drink coffee. I love the smell of it but can't stand the taste. I am a pepsiholic though. I have a pepsi within 5 feet of me within 10 minutes of getting up in the morning and within 10 minutes before I go to bed.

No coffee here either. I am a big tea drinker, though.

Chuck & I pay extra every month on our mortgage. We made sure it was set at something that we knew we could handle if something happened to us for a short time (like on of us losing our job). Then we pay extra to cut off the length of time on the loan. That way we can still pay it off sooner but we are in a better situation if an emergency arises.

That's what we do, too.

Sunday is his actual birthday. I can't believe he is going to be 8. I don't have a little boy anymore. He's turning into a big kid.

Happy Birthday to Nicholas!!!

I didn't realize that he was so close in age to Miles (he turned 8 in May).

I can remember when my kids were little, we could take them to J C Penneys and they could buy presents. They had a little shop set up and all of the parents would sit outside while the kids shopped. I could give an amount they were allowed to spend and the 'Helper' would help the kids pick them out and wrap them. Hal's folks still have the thing they use to fan the fire in the fireplace. It was so cute cause they would not tell anyone what they bought.

I remember those. It was so much fun to be able to buy my own gifts.

We are home. Bowling was ok, Colby and Hunter had good games,, but Nick is struggling. Then Chris changed my Dad's tires and my parents took the kids. Good for you guys for getting the shopping done! I still have to wrap all the gifts I have bought too. One thing at a time, though.

Are you getting snow yet, Deb?
