I rode in the monorail with Samantha Brown from the Poly to MK. I saw her get in, so I jumped in the car with her. She was with a CM and an older lady. We were the only people in the car (mid afternoon in early May 2006) When there was a break in their conversation, I asked her if the Poly was one of the 'Great Hotels'! She said she liked it very much, but was staying at AKL. She was very pleasant.

We saw Michael Jackson at Epcot in 2003. He was there with his kids and was escorted by quite a few men. We have video of him, but not pictures because we were already videoing. We didn't want to disturb his trip, but later we saw a whole crowd of people waiting for him outside of a bathroom. I can't imagine interrupting someone's trip like that, famous or not.

I don't think Michael Jackson can go anywhere without people crowding around him. I have never heard of him being in public without swarms of people. It's gotta be nerve racking after a while. And it seems to have been that way for decades.

We were on our honeymoon in 1999. We rode the Small World ride, and my husband kept turning around to the boat behind us... Finally, the lady in the boat said, "Yes, it's me.." VERY NICELY.
It was Christie Brinkley! She is JUST AS PRETTY in person, and very nice. She was whisked out another door at the end of the ride. We saw her later walking through MK with BIG guys around her, and her kids holding her hand.
On the flight back in 2000, we had a Pittsburgh Steeler on our plane. I didn't know it, though until we landed and my dad told me. I don't watch football, I'm a hockey girl!

I saw Sylvester Stallone at Downtown Disney. I wasn't able to get real close due the crowd, but close enough to see how short he was :rotfl: . It was very cool since I'm a huge fan of his.

Funny that is who i saw, It has been oh.......
a good 12 years ago.
And he was in a club at Pleasure Island.
coming down a set of stairs in mannequins, and there were several large men around him.

Christina Aguillera (can't spell)..

we actually had dinner next to her table at San Angel Inn. My husband wouldn't take his eyes off of her... (and it was our anniversary:rolleyes1 ) ha!

Do all celebrities walk around with a CM escort? If they are a big enough celebrity do they get special hours with the park to themselves? I've never seen any celebrities in WDW and always wondered about this.

Back in 1997 (on our honeymoon) DH and I were on the Monorail with Robert Englund (Freddie Krueger!):)

Most of them do walk around with VIP tour guides (the same tour guides that anyone can hire). The only way they get special hours with the park to themselves is if they buy out the park for an event which is pretty difficult to do.

I have seen a few without tour guides. Jason Alexander came in without one. He was dressed in jeans and a tshirt and had his baseball cap pulled over his eyes with a full beard. He sat in the front row of FOLK and while I don't think many people knew who he was he was very nice to those who talked to him.

Very interesting. Thanks for the info. ;)

Ok here is my list -- one year in early December we saw quite a few including the entire Harlem Globetrotters team in their warm up suits getting off Splash Mountain as we were getting on, Katie Couric and her daughters at AK, and Mic Foley and his daughter at MVMCP (he was without an escort and in line with us-- said he likes to come to the park without an escort when possible), it was raining and he had on a yellow slicker like everyone else and honestly I am surprised anyone could tell who he was.

In March I was certain I saw Joey Fatone at a P & P party with his daughter and a CM so now that I have read all the Joey Fatone sightings I am going with it was him ... he was actually looking at us and I must say we were dressed up really cool ... that is how I saw him.

My daughter on her CP saw Donny Osmond, Brett Favre, other assorted athletes she did not know, David Cassidy's son (on her ride) and an All my Children soap star that she did not know but the brother of the star told her while they were chatting to load. She also went to the Dave Barry book signing and then saw him later in the day - he recognized her and spoke to her and she thought that was really nice. Might have been a few more but Donny Osmond was the one that she was really excited about.

While we were there in April, I am almost positive we saw David and Victoria Beckham heading towards Indiana Jones at MGM.

I ate lunch at the All Star Cafe next to Tiger Woods once! I have checked in several VIPs at the front desk of my resort but we obviously can't take pictures or make a big deal. I checked in one today and still have no idea who he was, maybe a star wars actor.. he was flagged as a VIP.. I don't think I can say the name though just in case he wants a quiet vacation!

Pretty sure Brett Favre is a frequent visitor - I know my daughter worked at two different rides and she was at one in the Spring when he came through but he had been through the other in the Fall when she was off. In addition when she applied for the program one of the girls told her about her encounter with him the year before. He did not ride the ride his kids were on and chatted with the operator while the kids were riding. She said he was very nice.

I think I have read he is DVC.

Our first celebrity was Gary Sinise. He and his wife were staying in a BW suite on the club level. We met him in the hall one night. Very gracious. And then I was on my way past their room one morning and his wife Moira Harris was coming out the door to grab the dry cleaning which was haning on the door knob. She was going through her blonde stage then. She said hello to me and started talking about what a beautiful day it looked like outside and that she hoped all of us had a fun Disney day. So very cool! We met both of them one night in the hall by the lounge. It was closing time and they were being escorted in by the cms. They still took time to say hi.

Another time was at Animal Kingdom at the Tarzan Rocks show. We were sitting waiting for the show to begin when we saw Wayne Brady and his family being escorted in by cms. DS#2 loved Whose Line Is It Anyways so he just had to have a picture.

DD is a cm and she had a job once where she talked on the phone to members of the Disney family, Julie Andrews, Dick VanDyke (and the list goes one). She would call and say - guess who I was just talking to. Brat!
