I agree with you! 2 hrs to the beach, 1.5 hrs to the snow... even though the weather this week is a bit miserable - predicting 112 degrees today in my neck of the woods- I love California. I don't think I could move any place else.

I hear you. I was planning on having the packing party in the back yard under the shade tree. But with 105+ expected, we'll be moving it indoors! UG!

.

Just a reminder for any webkinz families...I started a webkinz thread on the pirate site, under Pre-cruise plans. I think it will be easier to keep track of who plays and their favorites etc. That way you can pm your childs info to other families so they can play the games together, share info and get to know each other via their furry friends!

Julie...Can I ask a stupid question? I am new to this board, and this will be our first cruise with Disney. We would like to participate in "ALL" of the fun. Don't really know if that is possible...but one can try.

Back to my question...is it too late to sign up to participate with the fish extenders? And, if not...how do we go about doing so?

Thanks, Carol

Hi Carol,

Julie's away this week, and won't be following the thread closely. She will be checking her PM's though. Just send her a PM (She's bellelinus), there's still time to sign up. I think you can send a PM after you have 10 posts on the boards, so fluff away here-tell us a little about yourself, what you're looking forward to doing on the cruise, etc, and then you'll be able to send her a PM.

You will need to post at least 3 more posts, but then PM Julie and let her know you are in.

You need to post 25 times before you can send an e-mail out to Julie Belenius. So just say hi 7 morre times and then you can e-mail.:thumbsup2

Hi, Carol -- sorry I just checked the thread now -- it's not too late! Take Mike and Tom's advice and fluff a few posts and then PM me with the info (cabin number, others in cabin, etc.). Cheryl's advice is a little off :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: love you, Cheryl!   spelling of Bellelinus and number of posts required to PM are both correct in Mike's . . .:lmao:

OK - I give.

What's a webkinz??

Never mind - DS11 just explained it to me.

(I'll just crawl back under my rock now...)

:sad1: What's going on this week? Just got a call from my mom. One of my childhood friends passed away this weekend. He's been battling lukemia for the past year or so. He's leaving behind a wife and 6yr old son.

It's going to be difficult telling DS tonight. He hung out with this family quite a bit since they still live in the same neighborhood as my parents.

Need some prayers...

Just got word from my Uncle...my cousin was taken to the hospital under the impression it was her appendix that burst...it wasn't... it was an overy....so both were removed...she was sent home and the meds she was on caused her to get violently ill...she is back in the hospital on new meds and iv's....Last year the lost their wife/mother to cancer (it was very bad) now this...please keep them on your prayer list...

Thank you:hug:

Chrissie

I'm actually enjoying the anticipation a lot:upsidedow A little worried that the real thing won't be as good as the plan:confused:

Laurie, not to be a downer here, but I know from the Med group that was very close prior to our cruise last summer, it is never the same after the cruise -- you mean to stay close, but the people on the thread just drift away after a while . . . we should appreciate the closeness now (and don't worry, the cruise will be all you anticipate, and more!) because, like so many good things in life, it won't last forever.

I miss New York quite a bit. Grew up on Long Island and went to school in Rochester NY. Loved visiting NYC, but wouldn't want to live there. And then there are folks like Bellelinus (Julie) that love living in NYC:confused3

Yes, I do!

...but I'm special princess:

Sigh....

So many comments.....
So many images.....
So many people to get offended by my commentary....

Kristina (goofyforlife), I lost your quote where you were expressing how hard it is to get excited for the cruise now . . . don't push yourself to be "happy" now, just get through every day as best you can, and I believe happiness will find you when you get on the cruise. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

For those people that still don't know what WebKinz are... It is a stuffed animal that you buy and then you register it online and then the pet lives online in a "virtual world". You (your child) goes online and you feed and take care of the animals. You work a job to earn money to pay for the pets.

Hours of entertainment for the little ones! :)

Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I know (by experience too) that it is good to wear a t-shirt while snorkeling so that you don't get burnt to a crisp, but has anyone tried those special "swim shirts"? Are they any better then wearing a regular t-shirt?

Here is a link: http://www.alexandme.com/Mens_UV_Swim_Shirts_s/9.htm in case you don't know what I'm talking about. Just curious.

I haven't traveled too much, but every time we do, I'm always excited to be home. Sure, SoCal has it's problems too, but it's home. I thnk we all get used to where we call home and can't imagine being somewhere else. IMO...It's all about what you make of where you live and not the actual location.

Where in S CA do you live?

And when you're not at your job, you're on the computer playing a game in "Webkinz World" to earn your kid more points so that he/she can afford to feed and take care of the pet.:confused3

I have ordered the patch for the cruise...thanks to everyone who ordered!

I ordered an extra 4 patches just in case anyone else should want one...PM me and I will add you to the list but after that - they are gone.

I will upload the artwork as soon as they email me the sample patch.

Have a great day!

Edited: Sorry the last of the patches are gone. Thanks!

I never thought about doing that but then again..I have tried to watch my DD play with the site..I'm to old to be able to figure out how it works! :lmao:

PLEASE do not post the name of the DCL dining coordinator any more. I will be editing it out of any and all posts that I find. Since she does the job herself for both ships she does not need to be contacted by everyone as that will make her job more difficult and her ability to work with large groups such as this one may be jeopardized or stopped all together. This information is suppose to remain confidential. Thank you for your understanding.

Thanks Lisa. I've talked with "her" in the past, and I KNOW she'll appreciate not having her name out there quite so much:thumbsup2
It's a miserable job that she has, and the less people contacting her, the better.

I know any of us who have ever tried to organize dining for our groups can attest to what a PITA it can be!!

Wish I was there to help today but I gotta work. I have my laptop hooked up for work next to my home pc. I should be working but it's much more fun being on the DIS!! This way work can't track my Internet usage.
