A Ten Day Ride on A Magic Camel - Almost Finished Trip Report

Welcome Home! I'm glad you had a good trip. I can't wait to hear about it and see your pictures. I love the new title!

I loaded these few pictures on photobucket to show you from Disney World, but that night, photobucket was having some troubles, and they wouldn't post.

I haven't even begun to get the other ones going, but I did want to share these with you to start off December with some holiday happiness for everyone.

This is the tree in the All Star Music lobby.

A pretty castle.

No pictures can really show how pretty it is. Standing there in the crowd and watching it light up section by section is something I hope you will all get to experience someday.

The next 25 days until Christmas and the few more that are left of this year will be busy for all of us. We will give gifts and attend gatherings and 'make merry' in many ways. My prayer is that we will be safe and healthy through it all, but that we will be ever mindful of those who are not as fortunate. I hope that we will all, in our own small ways, do something that makes life better, easier, or happier for someone who is going through any degree of difficulty during this month.

I hope as this year closes out that we can look back on it and remember more good times than bad, more happy than sad. We have enjoyed your company and comments on this ride on the Magic Camel. I hope you will all join us on the next report, and if you've been reading and not speaking, please come on and join in with all of the nice people who come around here occasionally. You may end up making some awesome new friends! :)

Have a nice rest of the evening. I am going to put together some supper and then probably turn in very early tonight.

 WELCOME HOME!!! GLAD YOU ARE HOME SAFE AND YOU HAD THE BEST TIME.

I know you have to be tired, get some well needed rest.

It will be so fun hearing about the trip and seeing the pics.

I do hope to one day see the castle with the icicle lights, christmas trees, flowers and all the resorts decked out in holiday cheer. A girl can dream. :cloud9:

Good to have you back, Take care.

That castle is just so beautiful. I can not believe that today I actually finally cancelled our trip for the end of the month. My oldest daughter & granddaughter were not going to be able to join us so we decided to put the trip off until July when they can go. I'm not crying, really I'm not!

:worship: :worship: There IT IS!!!!!! :worship: :worship:

Thank you MeMom for my first castle pic of 2008!!! :goodvibes I'm glad you all are home safe and had a great trip. I can't wait to read more about it and see ALL of your pictures (don't leave any out now )

I'll see you soon!!! :yay:

I hope you can see it all, too. Every resort has trees and decorations that are appropriate for their theme. They are all beautiful! Christmas music plays throughout the park, the trolley is decorated in green and red bows, Main Street is decorated in Mickey wreaths and lights, there are the Osborne Light Show, the Candlelight Processional, and the World Showcase storytellers, they have cute little Christmas cups in all the restaurants, the popcorn buckets have holiday pictures...and so much more.

And then there's that castle!

I hope you do get to see all of that.

Can't wait for your new report!

Coming up later in the week. I'll see if Jill wants to start it when she gets to a computer, or if she wants me to get started when I have a minute. I'm glad you will be joining us.

Thank you, MeMom with starting off December with such beautiful Christmas cheer -- the tree and the castle are just breathtaking!

They are. That's exactly the word I use to describe the castle.

I love the musical notes on the tree! I hope POP is decorated nicely as well :)

Pop has a big tree out in the lobby right under the sun roof. It has classic ornaments. Then there are smaller aluminum trees over in the front windows of the eating area on the bus stop side. Actually, I think the All Star trees are cooler as far as the actual decorations on them.

I'm afraid I'll be cancelling the March one, and I know I will be sick when I do. If I do go, it'll just be with my friend, Kay, and it'll be a budget trip. I know I'll want it so badly by March, but I'll just have to see what's happening money-wise.

I will be crying.
Really, I will!

I'll see you soon!!! :yay:

Your castle is safe and sound and as beautiful as ever. I know you'll enjoy cuddling up in your castle throw. I'll see you Thursday, Friday, or Monday, whichever is best for you.

Welcome home!! We'll be here when you get caught up on your beauty sleep!:goodvibes

I went to bed around 9 and slept until 3:18, which is miraculous for me, but I looked in the mirror, and the beauty part just didn't happen for me! I still look like a plain Jane with puffy eyes and red nose.

I'll try again tonight! ;)

Thank you ALL for all the "Welcome Home" greetings. Sorry for not responding to each one, but I am trying to get caught up with everything. Please don't be offended, because we read and appreciated every kind thought.

Welcome home! I can't wait to read your report. I leave in 9 days! Yippee, signle digit countdown! I am hoping to do a live trip report while up there. I can't wait to see more of your amazing pictures.

Boy, time flies when someone else is on a trip and you're in the real world doing your same old day to day thing. It seems like you just left! I read in the paper that a tornado touched down about 3 miles from Celebration on Sunday and the first thing I thought was - oh no, Memom is at Disney :goodvibes Did you leave Orlando before that? It was really nasty here on Sunday. I can't wait to see your pictures!

Everyone here is like my 2nd family. I havent made any friends since i moved to WI, i dont want to be seprated from my DIS friends too.
I see you are in Milwaukee, I am just North of Milwaukee. I know you don't know me, but if you have any questions about Milwaukee or WI, or nice places to go, give me a PM.

We saw the first official lighting of the Osborne Lights for 2008. We got there about 5:45, and it was packed. We came for the full experience, so we plopped ourselves right there in the midst of it and waited. Brooklynn got a kick out of the snow falling. The lights are so pretty, and unless you have stood right in the middle of it to see it and hear it and hear the people around you clapping and oohing and aahing, you just can't comprehend how cool it is. No pictures or youtube videos can do it justice. I called Dawn and held the phone up for her to hear, and she called back later (but I missed it) and said she got the music, but wasn't sure where we were. So, Dawn, that music was live from Osborne Lights.
  I'm happy for you that you saw the Osbourne Lights, I am so sad, that Disney didn't turn them on till Nov. 28th. I really looked forward to seeing the lights.

Welcome home!!! I am glad you made it home safely. I was worried about you guys. We started to get the bad weather around 1pm after Space Mountain. We beelined it out of the park and over to Polynesian for lunch at Kona. We had torrential downpours for a couple of hours and then it was tolerable. Yesterday was another beautiful so I really cannot complain.

It was so nice to meet you guys! Brooklynn is absolutely adorable. That was so sweet of that woman to give her the belle dress. Pixie Dust was spread all around. I felt like I met Dis-celebrities... As GMax would say.
Have a wonderful week....

Really, I will!

Okay I was crying. I will admit it too. The sad thing is we had alreaqdy canceled our trip last July. My son had to have surgery & then weeks of PT so we did not have the time to go. Maybe I can get there this coming July & then again over Christmas.

I really hope you and Kay are able to take your trip. It would be good for you to be able to have a girls only trip.

You will have so much fun! The Christmas decorations are so cool in every different resort and shop.

We always plan to do live reports, too, but we get so caught up in the fun, and then we're tired at night and the internet costs extra, so we don't do very well at following through with our intentions.

This was a short trip. I know what you mean, though, because I feel the same way when someone says they're back. it seems like they were only gone about two days!

It was starting to look bad as we were leaving. We hit a lot of bumper to bumper traffic and some rain, but it wasn't horrible. We heard about tornado threats, but luckily we did not see anything that bad.

I felt bad for everyone who had booked earlier in November, too, because I know that was diappointing. When we were there last year the week before Thanksgiving, they were up and running, so we were lucky to get to see them.

This year, we got to see Jingle Jungle Parade on Tuesday, Osborne Lights on Friday, and Candlelight Processional on Saturday, so I was very happy!

We should have thought to get some Fastpasses before we left the park for whatever else you guys wanted to ride. I didn't think of that until just now.

It was nice meeting you, and I'm glad it gave you someone to do all your 'kiddie rides' with! Brooklynn looked pretty crazy in her sweater and Belle dress, didn't she? Crazy, but still a little cute. Maybe we'll think to give away things like that when our little girls outgrow them. That's if there's any life left in them.

We did drive in rain, but it wasn't terrible. There were just a few spots where it was really pouring, but they didn't last too long.
