Fabulous stay at CSR! (with pics)

I meant to post this earlier, but we were BURRIED in a huge snowstorm and almost 3 feet of snow yesterday, so we spent most of the day digging out......over and over again.

At first I thought this was our Explorer in our driveway because it was so tall, but then I realized that it was the snow that was making it look so tall to me, and under all that snow was our T-Bird.

I know that it's hard to have perspective looking at this pic, but trust me, the snow here is 3 feet deep at it's shallowest. The deepest part is probably close to 4.5 feet deep.

But of course you're not here to look at my snow pics.....you're here to see pics of CSR, so on I go!

As I said, our stay at CSR was truly FABULOUS! The CMs were wonderful, and although I know that some have reported less than magical CMs at the Pepper Market, we had nothing but the nicest Pepper Market CMs. (Although we did see a few less than magical guests at the Pepper Market, actually fighting over who was in line first. That was kinda funny in a dumb sort of way.)

Everything was clean and neat, the landscaping really is gorgeous, and the walk around the lake is quite relaxing and pretty. We made that walk a few times actually, going to and from the pool. Since we were in Casita 1, we'd walk to the pool going past El Centro and across the bridge in front of the Cabanas, then we'd return by going past Casita 5 and back around to Casita 1.

We were very fortunate to receive a newly renovated room, and it was lovely.

thanks for the great pics! We leave Xmas day! I faxed in a "request" today for a similar room - we'll just keep our fingers crossed! I'll have a report when we return but I expect it will be nothing but wonderfule comments!

I did have an unfortunate mini-fridge incident. From past experience with mini-fridges, I turn the cold up quite high because they never seem to get very cold. Well, um, this time it did get cold.....too cold! So one of my diet Coke cans exploded.....everywhere......all over everything......inside the fridge.......and then froze over everything. Needless to say, I had a big mess to clean, but I left the fridge (and under the fridge) spotless. That in-room hair dryer had multiple uses this trip.

One other tiny statement, this one about Disney soap. Now I have to say I love the Disney soap with the cute little Mickey on it. But let me tell ya, round soap is not the best shape. I mean, after all, it's soap....meaning SLIPPERY! But when it has round edges, well, it makes for a more challenging shower. I dropped the darn soap at least once every morning while showering, and sometimes twice or three times. Oh well. My hubby got a kick out of listening to the "thud" every morning while I was in the shower.

I absolutely love the pics. I'm so excited. I've hada really rotten day so far and this has made me feel better. Dental works stinks! but CSR looks fabulous!!!!

disney-super-mom, THANK YOU so much for posting these spectacular pictures. It is making me very homesick. I told DH that WE ARE GOING in two years for the holiday season when our youngest is done wrestling in college. We can't wait to be there in September to see the new rooms.

I'm so glad you had a great trip and that you had wonderful CM's, etc.
Sorry you came home to the snow. We've had two snowstorms this week--but not as much as you, but close to 12 inches this week. I HATE CHICAGO!

When are you going? They have finished Casitas 1, 4th floor, and the Club Level Rooms in Cabanas 9B. They are currently working on Casitas 2 and 3, 4th floor and Cabanas 9A. The process started in October and is scheduled to take a year.

I also want to mention that DH and I did get a chance to meet JamesLynn and thank her for all her help, and she was so sweet and gracious!

Again, I want to thank everyone here for all their help and advice. Our trip turned out to be full of pixie dust, and we couldn't have done it without you!
