Fish Extenders for the Podcast Cruise

I thought they stopped doing that all together.

Are they still allowing packages to be shipped to the boat?

Good afternoon everyone! Wow you have been very busy already 105 pages!:scared1::scared1: Did I miss anything important? I don't think I have enough time to read all those pages.:sad2:

Anna, I think you have your sticky threads mixed up....this is the FE thread....#9 is below it...:happytv::happytv::happytv:

I'm so use to it being the first sticky!:scared1::scared1::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

It all depends on which thread had the last post. #9 is kinda slow for an opening Monday....

In other news, Twilight trumped the completion of my FE. Maybe this weekend. I have all the pieces assembled, just need to do the final assembly. Easier said than done.

And the shipping question has been asked to Tracy.

I watched Twilight and I was happily surprised by it. I liked it enough that I bought the audio version on itunes.

I still need to buy my FE or I will have to just have to hang a bag.:sad2::rotfl:

I thought that on one of the podcasts they said you could not ship stuff to the ship anymore. I hope we can. It would make life a lot easier.

It has been snowing on and off here since last night.:sad2: The weather channel said it should snow all week!:scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:

Regarding shipping packages to the port:
Yes, you can. I'll have to dig out the instructions again as there are restrictions as to what you can send, size of package and what needs to be on the package.

More info as she finds it...:goodvibes

on the ship beside the door is a metal fish. it's where the staff put paperwork for you. fish extenders or fe - are fabric hangers that hang from the fish.

there are a few threads that show pictures of what people have made. :)

this will be my first cruise and the first time making one:banana::cloud9:

Thank you so much! I found one of the threads and saw them but I couldn't tell what they were hanging from. How cute! Now all I need is a cruise!

Here is the info according to Tracy and DCL:

Boxes Sent the Ship Ahead of Cruise - PLEASE follow these instructions carefully!!!!!! UPDATED AS OF 2/25/2009

• ONE box per stateroom, no exceptions.

• The package must have the guest full name, ship, sailing date, stateroom number or GTY if you have not been assigned a stateroom number.

• The package also must have a packing slip attached to the outside of the box that details the contents of the package. For prescriptions, a copy of the prescription is sufficient. Your list may or may not be read but it must have one. Write packing slip on the outside of the envelope.

• NO FOODS/DRINKS OF ANY KIND, LIQUOR OF ANY KIND, FIREARMS, ETC.. Items that cannot be shipped to the Disney Cruise Line Warehouse and delivered to the ship include: food products (any and all food products including baby food/formula), beverages (liquor, water, etc.), chemicals, and luggage. These items will not be accepted at the warehouse and will be returned. This may cause the dogs to hit on your box and that would be a bad thing.

• The required size of the cartons you are shipping down have to be about the size of a record storage box 12 inches on a side and should not weigh more than 20 lbs. (This has been asked personally by Dave Adams who is the owner)

Address your package(s) to:

Disney Cruise Line Warehouse
Guest Name / Stateroom # (GTY, if you don't know what it is when you send the package)
8633 Transport Drive
Orlando, FL 32832
Phone: 407-566-8196

In the bottom left corner of the top of the package put the following information: ATTN: HOUSEKEEPING
*Name
*Sail Date
*Ship
*Stateroom Number
*Packing slip that details contents of the package (for prescriptions, a copy of the prescription is sufficient)

• Packages must arrive by Friday by 3:00pm for the 7-Night Cruise on the Disney Magic (Saturday).

• Packages must arrive by Friday by 3:00pm for the 4-Night Cruise on the Disney Wonder (Sunday).

• Packages must arrive by Wednesday by 3:00pm for the 3-Night Cruise on the Disney Wonder (Thursday).

If your box is hit on by the screening dog or chosen for additional screening they will open the list and the box and look through it. They will close it back up and provided nothing bad is in it then it will be in your room as usual later after boarding.

These boxes will be coming on the ship with the crew mail among other things so they may be in the staterooms later then they were before as they are low priority in the scheme of things for Disney.

I know we have talked about this, but as I am finishing up my main FE gift- how many rooms have more than one "household" how many roomies are there??? Kristen and I being one of those rooms-

Thanks!

If I am reading the first page correctly, there are 76.

no - i think there are only a couple who have "roommates"

3 maybe 4 -

there are some families who have 2 rooms but it looks like most of them are 1 family (husband and wife or dh dw and dkids)

Here are the roomies.

Shellyminnie & tiggerbell

Mary Jo & Maria

Tonya, Carol & Joe - Adult and her parents (not sure how you are dividing them)

Chris, Kim, Jenny (grandmom) & Ginny (child)

i think there is one more but i/m not sure

Marla is with Mary Jo.

I don't know if Tonya's parents are in on the FE. Tonya is 110%, but not sure about her folks.

And of course Sandy and Kristen.:goodvibes:goodvibes But she asked the question so of course she knows about herself!

Don't feel like you have to include my parents in on the FE gifts seperately. If you do, great but one thing for our stateroom is fine. My parents love Disney and my Mom is my Disney traveling buddy but not quite sure they really get the DIS thing yet. :rotfl2: Mom is sort of getting it but still unsure and Dad is just along for the cruise.

The same for my Step Mom Judy. She is coming because she loves to cruise, but is not into Disney. I haven't even told her about the FE gifts. I figured if there was something she really liked, I would let her have it. I also made sure we each are getting one of our group gift, but other than that, I don't think she will be into it.

Kim
