Hello There! Has anyone ever heard of Discovery Cove offering any kind of discount? After more than 2 very stressful years, we are hoping to take a much needed family vacation to Orlando. We had a trip planned in the past to finally celebrate our son's adoption but had to cancel that when my DH was laid off along with thousands of others at his company. Anyway, our DD loves loves loves dolphins and we were hoping to take her to Discover Cove to celebrate her own "gotcha day" but it is so expensive. Just wondering if Discovery Cove ever offers discounts? (Probably not but hey, you can't fault a mom for trying...right?) Hahaha!

Hi, I have been searching high and low for some kind of discount also. We are going to Discovery Cove early August.
I did find one finally but not for our dates hope you can use it.
It is code tnc10
it will give you a $25.00 discount and it starts August 23, 2010.

Also found something but don't have the code for it because you needed to use American Express card. No, discount if you used the card you just would receive a $50.00 gift card. Which is not bad if you have an American Express card. Hope this helps and have fun.

Become a fan on facebook and you may be able to get $50 off.

Edit:
Oops - I had read that elsewhere on DIS - but when I went to the facebook page, I couldn't see what they were talking about. The did have a book early and save discount last fall.

There is a code for American Express AMXDM10. I don't have an amex card, so I used my Dad's card and ordered tix this morning. Saved over 400 for 5 tickets! It's 50 off dolphin swim, 80 off ultimate package!

I already have 6 tickets purchased for Discovery Cove dolphin swim packages for December at $199 each. I tried to see if using the Amex code would give me a further discount to $149 but it still showed $199 on the online order form.

I called Discovery Cove and asked if I would need to cancel my 6 reservations to rebook to get the discount or if they could just give it to me since I already paid with Amex. I was told I'd have to cancel and rebook to get the discount. Then I asked why it still showed as $199 when I did the order online with the Amex discount. She told me that $199 is the lowest price they offer so there is NO additional discount using the Amex card.

Has anyone else managed to get a further discount fromthe $199 price using Amex?

Now I know the customer service person at Discovery Cove was lying to me as I tried your code above and that changed the Dec costto $174 from $199! I guess they DO have prices less than $199 afterall! GRRRR. I canceled my 6 tickets at $199 and will rebook atthe $174 unless I can figure out how to get the Amex discount to work.

Is the discount $50 off the price you pay or a $50 gift card that you get on the day you check in? It was a gift card in previous years...

Edit: I called again and talked to a different reservation specialist. She told me the same thing - no $50 discount on the $199 pricing as that is as low as they go. I pointed out that I could get it down to $174 using the other discount code for Save the Reef. She mumbled something about sometimes that code is accepted because it is a donation. The donation is fine with me but I wanted it for the $25 discount to me.

I have booked our 6 tickets under my husband's name and credit card and got the $174 pricing. Still curious if anyone else has been able to get the $50 amex discount to get the price down to $149.

To the original poster, make sure you factor in that you get 7 days in either Seaworld or Busch gardens along with your DC tickets. It was quite pricey for me to take my two kids to DC for the day, but we also spent 3 days in Seaworld for free which made for a much more economical vacation overall. Also if you stay out of the gift shops you wont have to spend another dime once your inside DC. Food, drinks, snacks ect are all included in the price. This was a very welcome change after all the nickel-diming that goes on at the other Florida parks.
