This is what I get for not really paying attention on the DIS. I totally had no idea you were heading off on another trip. Hope you are having a blast. Now I have to catch up on what the plans are................

I'm home!!! And we had a really great trip, I can't wait to share it with you, but I have to admit - I did terrible at keeping notes this trip. Hopefully I can remember enough to keep the report interesting! I'll get going on the report as soon as I can, but it may be a few days. I didn't mention this before, but before I left for vacation I signed a contract to go to work for my TA. I'm really excited about a new challenge, it's been a long time since I worked! I spent yesterday taking Disney's College of Knowledge, and today I need to address my list of things to do to get started, so I might be a little slow in getting the report going, but please don't give up on me!!!

I feel awful I let this report slide so much the last couple of weeks before the trip, I was just so busy!

No mishaps packing to go on the trip, coming home was another issue......

Oh don't feel like you have to do that just for me. Did you forget that you have a cruise coming up in just a few days? You don't need to worry about posting pictures..... you've got to get packing! You promised me you would have lots of pictures for me to see when you get back, so I can wait!

Well, obviously I didn't get back on here to post pics, sorry about that! I do have quite a few from our Nassau and Castaway Cay days with the new camera though, so you'll get a good idea of the quality of the pictures.

I didn't look to see when you posted this, but we left on the evening of the 29th as soon as baseball was over for the day! I have to say, I don't know how you guys drive that all the time, driving sucks

Happy Late Mother's Day! I'm a friend of jackie's and stumbled upon one of your TR's finally! Love your upcoming trip and can't wait to read more about your plans! Btw..I have the same underwater camera! I've had it for about 2 years now and love it! It's came to the Bahamas with me (San Salvador) for a study abroad trip and it is amazing taking underwater pictures and video of the coral reefs. The settings for outside pictures, particularly foliage, macro and sunset are awesome too! Enjoy it, because I know I love mine!!

Hi there, thanks for jumping on board!! I'm so glad to hear that you still like your camera. I was really happy with mine too. I didn't really get a chance to play with it much before we left so I didn't change the settings much, mostly took in auto mode unless we were in the water. I haven't downloaded yet, but I think the pictures turned out pretty nice.

Michelle, have an absolutely wonderful time on your trip! I hope you enjoy Atlanta and the Braves game! Can't wait to hear all about your cruise with Anita, Marc, and Baylor!

We did enjoy Atlanta, our hotel was in a perfect location for the things we wanted to do. The game was good until the Braves fell apart in the 7th.....

Jill and I have both thought about the Disney TA stuff. My problem is that I don't come in contact with too many people who go to WDW, working in my very low income school. Jill, however, does have some families at her pre-school who go, so she'd be the better one to really do it.

Congrats on the TA job! I wanted to be a TA so badly when I graduated high school, but everyone kept pushing me to go to college, so I did. I ended up being an elementary school teacher instead, a decision I have always regretted! (note to self: always follow your heart! ) Anyway, I have recently looked into it again, but I must say that everyone I have talked to has not had much good to say about the industry. I'm curious what you have been told to expect from it??? The agents I have talked to say that since the internet has become a mainstay for most people, that the TA industry has really suffered. Everyone has discouraged me from getting into it, so I would love to hear more from you about it, because I'm still very interested even though they haven't given me much promise. I just keep thinking about all the friends and family who are constantly asking me for Disney help and advise and wonder why I keep doing this for free!

Building the client base is my biggest fear, not sure how good I'll be at that aspect of the job, I'm not really good at 'putting myself out there' so to speak - we'll see!

Well, I'm just getting started. The company I signed with specializes in Disney travel but can book other vacations as well. When I decided that this might be something I'd like to do, I just called my TA to get some information and to see if she would be willing to add me to her team. We ironed out the details and the rest is history!

I agree, you should always follow your heart, especially when you are young!

I think there is alot of truth to the fact that the travel industry is not what it once was. I really don't expect to make much this first year, but hopefully I'll start to build a good base and word of mouth will gain me more business. We'll see how it goes!
