Has anything OUTRAGEOUS ever happened at your school?

Don't know if anyones every done this on a thread before but yep, has anything totally out of the ordinary ever happened, or has anything really INTERESTING happened.

Well I do know that at one of the schools a few towns away they said that one summer day a homeless man and his girlfriend were being intimate on the roof of the school.

When the police got him down, he had no clothing, so they had to take him away covered in black garbage bags.

I dont think that qualifies as interesting, more like strange etc.

We had our hs principal show up drunk, hold an unscheduled assembly to have the whole school chant "We want football!". He was put on administrative leave immediately following the assembly. His daughter left school and did not return.

My High school (now been 13+ years since I graduated lol), while I was a student, had a drug bust of 20+ people for LSD distribution. During the 80s, it more than once made Sports Illustrated's list of the top 10 easiest high schools to get drugs at.

Oh yeah, and a few years before that, there was a mutli-homicide by the principal, the story later made into a book and TV movie: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Echoes_in_the_Darkness

A few years back, my DS's middle school principal was busted for selling meth out of his office...that was pretty crazy. Made national news and everything. Just goes to show that good, educated people can get mixed up in some bad stuff.

Ahhhhh, yeah My alma mater, and my son will graduate from the same high school in May.

Can't believe it will be 13 years in April.

Hopping in the way-back machine about 30 years, I remember my brother was on "Pot Bus 7", a school bus where the driver smelled pot and dumped all the kids at the police station instead of bringing them home at the end of the day. All the parents had to go pick up their kid at the station.

**Edited to add this was a middle school.

More recently, our recently deceased principal used to camp out on the roof of the school overnight if all the kids passed their reading tests. He also let them throw jello at him if they met his academic expectations. He was an amazing person.

Hmmm... We've just lived here a year and a half... Today the High School and one Middle School were under "lock down" for an hour because someone in the neighborhood had shot and killed someone else and was "at large" in the area. Its in a nice neighborhood.

About a year ago a teacher was arrested for having an affair with one of his students... Teacher was 47, girl was 15. Still skeeves me out. He had a daughter in the same grade. He's locked up now.

They filmed our Marching Band last year to be in a movie with Rachel McAdams and Ben Afflack. They also filmed some of the scenes on the lawn of the High School.

Nothing unusual that I can think of.

I used to be a para educator and one morning one of the resource teachers came into the room, said something to me in slurred speech, then layed down on the bean bag chairs and fell asleep. Come to find out, she had taken three phenergrans that morning and on her way to school, she hit a car and kept going! She was transfered to a different school and I didn't hear anything about it after that.

That's about it.
