***Official June, 2012! Hot, hot, hot!!!***

Finally in double digits!:cool1: Thinking about it more seriously now and deciding if I should start buying things yet - CVS has some detergent pods on sale this week that would be small and easy to bring if I wanted to do a load of laundry. We get pretty stinky and sweaty in the summertime so we need to change clothes often! LOL!

Walmart was the All mighty pacs pods 10 for $1.97 best deal I have seen next to free Tide pods at SAMs (1 per customer). Happy :laundy:

:welcome::welcome::welcome: June is a great month to go. You also been added to the list. (Post 429) Lots of Diser's there in early June.

I'll be at Port Orleans Riverside from June 4-June 8.

I think I was overly excited and booked too soon. I wish I made my trip for an extra day or two. But I booked my airfare through Disney also and if I want to extend my vacation I believe I'd have to pay an extra $100 per ticket and I bought 4 tix. :confused3

Is that the case with non-refundable airfare?

I'm trying to convince myself that at least I'm going to Disney even if it is only 5 days. Lol

Yes, you are correct that you would have to pay a fee per ticket to the airline to change. That happened to us last year, only we wanted to change our flights because they added a better flight after we booked. If we had changed, we would have had to cough up the extra $75 per ticket. Bummer how that works, right? Boo.

In addition to the change fee some airlines will also charge for any increase in the fare. Example, your fare was $150 for the return leg, but that fare class is now sold out, the next cheapest is $180 so beside the $75 you also would pay the extra $30.

We book through Airtran and they have a rule that if the time changes at all from when you booked you airflight you can change flights - up to 3 days difference for free. Last year we extended our vacation by 2 days becasue the flight changed from 10:34am to 10:47am. Now that Southwest bought them I'm not sure it still works that way but that is why we always booked with them. We book the cheapest flight and as soon as they have a time change, and they always do, we change it to the flight we wanted.

In 81 days from now, we will be leaving for WDW!!! I decided to get a First Aid Kit together for the mv, and have part of it together. I was so surprised when our Polar Breeze neck cooling things came in the mail today. I didn't think they would be here for a week or two after I ordered them. I just put in the order on Wednesday. I drove my mil and fil to Andrews, TX this weekend to see the mil's mom and while there saw my DH's favorite cousin. He wanted to stop by and see my DH, his brother and our kids on their way home to AL. My mil suggested they didn't since I have sick kiddos. Now, either on the way there, or on the way home we are going to stop by their house in Winfield, AL (north-west of Birmingham, AL). It'll be interesting to see how we can fit it in, but so worth it. He has such a great family!!

I see your family goes by the Triple A's, My youngest daughter refers to her family as The A Gang (Amy (aka Mom), Alex, Adyn & Abygail). I love doing itineraries, gives me something to do until vacation arrives.

We'll be there a couple of the same days. We're at the PC from 6/4-8 and your at WDW 6/6-9. After we leave WDW we're headed to Cocoa Beach for a night. We're doing the beach one day and then Kennedy Space Center the next.

Ok, I couldn't remember your dates. We will be home by the evening on June 9th, I think, unless we have to change dates to accommodate DH's days off if he even gets approved.

I hate being up in the air, not knowing if we can go or not, I want to add the DDP, but if I keep it room only, I can at least get our money back if we have to cancel at the last minute...ughhh!!!!!

If it's not the Army, it's his civilian employer...arghhh!!!

That would drive me nuts!! I'm going batty enough over not knowing the exact time they DSs will get out of school. When I talked to them Thursday, they said that the reason they don't know what time they will get out is they haven't made the schedules for the tests yet. Until they do, they won't know for sure. The lady did estimate they would be out between 1:00-1:15 PM, unless they do like they did for the end of last semester. :headache: Then they will be out at 11:30 AM. At this point, I almost hope they do get out at the later time. This way I can pack as soon as they get on the bus that morning and then sleep until 12:30-ish.

My mil and I were talking about our trip as I drove her to West Texas this weekend. She thinks it would be a good idea, since we are driving, to have AAA. According to Google maps, the round trip is 2,586 miles. Plus I'm sure there will be a few more with driving around and such. Has anyone ever had AAA before and do you think it's a good thing to have on such a long road trip?

Please add us to the June list! We'll be in the World from June 1st through the 10th, staying off site at All Star Vacation Homes but looking forward to the magic waiting to be had!

Check with your auto insurance, most of them now have a plan that you pay a fraction of the price of AAA for. We have it on USAA and it's something like $3 a month and does the same thing as AAA, we had it when we had Liberty Mutual, too. Sometimes they are even better than AAA.

It is driving me insane. We don't yet know the dates of his AT, the Army will let us know when they get good and ready. His civilian employer wants to give him trouble and the Army says they can't. It's just back and forth between the two, but at least I know that we have the Army behind us if his employer tries to pull something.

It's not like his employer is paying him for the time he's gone. He's a good, reliable worker who puts up with alot, and they need to see that. He can be aggrivating sometimes, but he is a good man. He was told that if his vacation request was approved prior to AT, then they have to honor them, but I am waiting for them to pull a fast one, we will be ready to fire back.
