I have spoken to the hotel as we are leaving a car there for two weeks. You sign up ONLY when you check in to the hotel for the shuttle on a space available basis. Shuttles start at 10:00 AM to the ship.

They start at 10am??? Oh NO, I wanted to leave before that. I may have to take a cab.

Thank you for the invitation! We would love to have dinner with you guys. Just tell us what time and where!

Just posted this on the FB page as well.

As I mentioned in a previous post, I just joined D23. I am going to take a tour of the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank on Saturday morning at 9:30 AM. Cost is $60 and I can have one guest accompany me if there is still room on the tour. If anyone is interested, in this tour, please let me know. First one to say yes and pay WINS!!

Details are:
D23 Members have the opportunity to enjoy a two-and-a-half-hour tour of The Walt Disney Studios and Walt Disney Archives, hosted by D23 and the Archives staff.
During your extensive visit, you will have an in-depth and personal walking tour of The Walt Disney Studios Lot and visit many locales that Walt Disney himself frequented. This unique and rare experience includes:
The Walt Disney Archives
The Walt Disney Archives home to the crown jewels of Disney. You’ll have the chance to browse through some of the Archives collection, with a Disney archivist on hand to answer your questions!
Animation Building
The original Animation Building where beloved animated films from Fantasia through The Black Cauldron were created.
Ink & Paint Building
The Ink & Paint Building where dozens of Disney classics were brought to life by hand through the talents of skilled artists.
Underground Tunnel
The “original Disney underground tunnel” which serves as a connector between the Animation Building and the Ink & Paint Building.
Team Disney
The iconic Team Disney building (The world headquarters of The Walt Disney Company), “held up” by Snow White’s beloved dwarfs
Legends Plaza
Legends Plaza, which honors those who have made significant contributions to the Disney Legacy including Julie Andrews, Elton John, Ollie Johnston, Alan Menken, Angela Lansbury, and many more. The Plaza also features stunning tribute sculptures including “Partners” (featuring Walt and Mickey), “Sharing the Magic” (featuring Roy O. Disney and Minnie), and a 14-foot bronze replica of the Disney Legends Award.
Guests on the tour also have the chance to see and visit many popular Studio locales including the Mickey Avenue/Dopey Drive sign used in The Reluctant Dragon, the impressive Disney Studios water tower (and find out why it has six legs!), the remaining backlot street used in taping such ABC shows as Brothers & Sisters, No Ordinary Family, Body of Proof, and GCB, as well as some of the historic soundstages used for filming such Disney live-action movie classics as 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Mary Poppins, and Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.
There will also be the opportunity to purchase select D23 exclusive merchandise. We will be hosting eight (8) tours on each day. Each tour can accommodate 25 participants.
*Due to filming and the nature of business on a working studio lot, not all buildings may be available.

Wow...that is so amazing of you to give someone the opportunity to see the Studios....if I wasn't doing the 1 day ABD on Friday...I would have been PM'ing and paying....hopefully someone will see your post and take you up on your offer....I hope you enjoy your tour.

Thank you, I am sure I will and perhaps someone else may want to do it as well!

I envy all of you who are packed and ready for our wonderful adventure. We haven't started packing, in fact Bob needs to go shopping this weekend for new dockers. I don't know if I have anything I can fit into so you might be seeing me in a mumu the entire trip. But that is ok, we'll just go with the flow. We were talking to someone from Kauai this morning and listening to our Hawaiian music all day. WE ARE READY even if we end up wearing PJs.

Safe trip to all of you on your way.

Val & Bob

Has anyone done this before on the Magic when you had unrelated persons in the same stateroom using different accounts? do they all get charged to the primary name's account or can we get them split between us?

Yes, you can each put your own charges on your own account including the tips.

Good afternoon everyone....next week at this time I will be happily on my way home from work and ready for the cruise.
Couple of questions for you guys...is most everyone wearing the shirts on to the ship on Sunday when we leave? DW and I plan on doing so and I am just curious if most everyone else will be doing it also....

Secondly...my DW hopefully will be flying standby on our Jet Blue flight. If we get on the early flight we will arrive at 1:00 P.M. We considered going over to Disneyland for the day but just decided to relax. We are staying at the Marriott LAX so I wonder if anyone can recommend a place for us to have dinner near the hotel. Nothing real fancy, just somewhere we can get a good meal to tide us over until Sunday. We will probably just have breakfast at the hotel.
Thanks!
Tom & Marilou

We are wearing our shirts first day. :cool1:

Do we need to book a shuttle from the Double Tree to the port?

When you check in.

I think I asked this before but can't recall if I read the answer of not...do we get extra luggage tags from the porters when we arrive at the port? Two luggage tags just isn't enough!

Was going to ask the same question. :coffee:

I know that whenever we put the tips on the stateroom account, half of them turned up under my name and half of it under Graham's name so I assume it will be the same with the auto-tips.

Corinna

I should have kept reading before I posted.........that's good to know. :)

It is all happening at the moment. The last of the packages that I need for the cruise arrived today. Now I just have to hope that the last of the packages that I sent to my friend in Los Angeles arrives. It has been tracked at the International Sorting Centre in New York last Saturday and has not been tracked since.

The Navigator is all done and tomorrow I will send out 127 copies of this. I have uploaded it on my iPad and my iPhone. I prefer it on the iPad, because of the bigger screen, but it looks OK on the iPhone as well. Once again to everybody who contributed.

Tomorrow I will sort the Fish Extender gifts for the late joiners, finalize one of the Fish Extender gifts for the men and boys that are in all groups, finish one of my Secret Mickey gifts and do the last batch of magnets. I printed out my confirmations today.

Corinna

Thank You again for all you have done for this group ! I hope you can find some time to relax on this cruise !!! :)

I will be wearing my shirt when we board Sunday. I will also be wearing it to dinner the day we have the group photo. Good luck with the standby.pixiedust: Although it was years ago I had a REALLY bad experience with flying standby and wouldn't wish that on anyone.

That is a good deal, isn't it. We will take car service from the airport to the Doubletree hotel. We're eating dinner with some of west coast thieves (previous cruise.....ship of thieves) and then meeting some new friends after dinner at the hotel.

On Sunday I'll be on an early shuttle so that we get to the port before they open it up. We'll get a good place in line.

There might be one or more people trying to take that early shuttle. :rotfl2:

Tina, I'll be thinking of you as we get into the car to drive to the airport. It's good to know someone else will be awake when we are. I'm always too excited to sleep the night before we travel. You should see me bouncing off walls then night before we get onboard the ship. I can't sleep because I'm just too excited and I'm constantly watching the clock. I want to go!!!

That sounds like me ! :rotfl2: The only problem with that is the lack of sleep can get me sick real quick. Hopefully I can nap on the plane. :thumbsup2

I know you could in Port C. So I would assume so. But I bet someone who has cruised out of San Pedro will pipe up soon with a response.

We plan on wearing our shirts when we get on the ship. We will be flying out on Thursday on SW from Orlando to Nashville to LA . We arrive around 3:30
