Hi all,

And so continues my eternal quest for new shorts for my trip! I can't find any anywhere and it's now driving me mad. I have a pair of linen/cotton cargo shorts that I got from Dorothy Perkins years ago and I love them and wear them to death. I have tried searching online but can't find anything similar here so was wondering if there are any plus size clothing shops near WDW, i'm usually between 18 - 20 depending on the style and make.

:confused3

it might not be the brands you're looking for, but we always go shop at Super Target (2 stores on both sides of 192 - 1 is at 192&535 and the other is at the other end of 192 past animal kingdom lodge roughly 1 or 2 miles past sherbeth road)

or at walmart on 535 (halfway between I4 and 192 on 535)

it's not the best in the world, but DW (size 16) generally finds something nice

there is also sears at Florida Mall and other stores like Old Navy (and many more) but it's a bit farther away

Macy's in the Florida Mall are good for plus size BUT depends when you go as they still stock seasonal clothes so if you go say in September you are much less likely to find anything as they have got lots of jumpers, coats etc in! On the other hand if you hit the sales, which seem to be quite often and at all different times of the year, you can get some really good stuff costing next to nothing and you also get further discount for being an overseas visitor. (you get the card from the checkouts now, not customer service). Other places are Walmart, not as good quality but def see you through the season. You might be lucky at the Disney store in DTD as well.:thumbsup2

I'm looking for the same. What is an 18 in US sizes? Also, what size T and Hoodie would a UK size 18 be in the US? Sadly have gone up two sizes sincerest year so don't know what will fit :(

the good news is you go down a size:cool1: uk 18 is a usa 16...result!!;)

My friend is plus size and has just returned. She got some lovely shorts in Walmart for $4 each !!!

Thanks guys!

Walmart is on our list to visit so guess it will be sooner now!

There is Torrid at the Florida Mall www.torrid.com
Macy's is great too - I've picked up things like Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren for under $10 before there
Lane Bryant at the Premium Outlet International Drive is a larger size store www.lanebryant.com
Oh and there is Dress Barn Woman at the Vineland Road outlet

the key in the larger stores like Macy's is to look for the 'Women's' section!
but you'd probably manage in places like Old Navy and Gap too. I was a UK 22/24 until this year so they were the places I used to shop at. This year was a revelation as a size 14 (and I do love the fact that's a UK size 10!!)

Anyone have any suggestions for men?
(lost almost 4 stone since Feb.. but have more to go)

At a size 18-20, you're a US 14-16 and to be honest you can probably shop anywhere in the US. They do have specialist plus size stores (Lane Bryant is one but I'm not sure if there is one close to WDW) but Old Navy carry up to US size 20 and so do most other retailers. My DW used to be a UK 20-22 (US 16-18) and never had a problem shopping anywhere, in fact, she worked at Old Navy while in University and bought most of her clothes there. You won't have a problem at all.

Casual male xl big and tall is good for plus size mens clothes.

There is one near the florida mall and one on I drive.

Ross dress for less and TJMaxx also have big sizes.

No Lane Bryant at Premium any more they closed a load of them there is one on 192 near target. Also Catherines plus however they closed a lot of those as well and the only one left is at Altemont springs
Jacqui

Congratulations! For better quality - but pricier - than Walmart, you could try Eddie Bauer at Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores.

i always get tons of stuff at walmart...very attractive and good quality...
it doesn't "look" like walmart at all!!
and the prices are unbelievable!!!
