One day park prices going up tomorrow

MK going up to $99 and other parks up to $94.

From how I interpret the info from HERE, I think that ALL the prices are going up tomorrow.

They are only specifically quoting the prices for the one-day tickets in the limited announcement.

Walt Disney World will be increasing ticket pricing from tomorrow, February 23 2014.

The full details will be released tomorrow, but expect a single day ticket to increase by $4, which puts the Magic Kingdom at $99, and Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom at $94.

This price increase was unexpected and has not carried the usually advance notice. The last update to pricing was in June 2013 when Disney placed a higher value on entry to the Magic Kingdom over the other three parks.

Is attendance down this year so far to necessitate a price increase?

They wouldn't raise prices if attendance was down. Increasing prices would serve to dampen attendance, if it makes any difference at all.

We need to renew FL res AP's.... are we thinking these are going to go up in price too? Our tickets expire next month, so if we are thinking they are I will renew tonight

Yikes. We are really getting close to being priced out of a Disney vacation.

Wonder if this means 2015 room rates and packages will come out sooner. Typically they increase ticket prices right before they release the new room rates. It never made sense that you had to wait until summer to book the following year.

Out of the around 20 families going to Florida for spring break from my school, this is the first time none of them are staying on property. Out of those about half said they may go in for just one day, guess Disney thought they had to make money somehow???? Our spring break here did not fall during Easter week and have to say this year Disneys discounts just could not sway people on property. The economy here is doing good so that's not the issue. I also had about 10 families ask me about June and to date not one family has come back to say they have booked. Several have booked condo's at the beach and plan to drive in, they just won't pay the prices.

I think Disney is raising prices before the off property spring break crowd arrives that don't have their ticket prices locked in with a package booking

In my area, Disney is pricing out first time families, ticket prices going up may also keep them from driving in for one day.

At least they used to be upfront about ticket price increases, now they're making everyone decipher whether their ticket prices are going up.

That's insane. I understand raising admission prices on a yearly basis but it's only been 8 months since 2013's increase. A single-day ticket to MK will be, as of tomorrow, $10 more than last year at this time and while I do understand that most people don't buy just 1 day, a lot of people do. Are we to expect biannual increases from now on?

This is not the first time they did two increases in less than a year, but it's been a few years since that happened from what I remember.

This may be an ignorant question, but I need to ask anyhow. I purchased my 5 day tickets on Orbitz Thursday. Are these still good? Did we just get lucky and lock in great prices???

Does not say anything about season's passes, but I am soooooo glad I got mine early. ;)

They never make price changes retroactive. In fact, many of the wholesalers can sell the tickets they have for the old price until they run out.

Any word on how much the extra day cost has increased for adding days after 4? I have 7 days on my tickets now, but will need at least 8 and possibly 9 days.

The Mine Train must finally be ready to go.

Oy.

Now instead of saying I'm getting less for my money, I'll have to say I'm getting less for even more money.
