I am still on the fence about participating in the FE. It will be difficult for us to do financially if the group is not split up. Can I sign up tentatively then remove myself if necessary? Also when does the final list typically get compiled? I'm new to this so want to make sure I will have enough time to purchase gifts.

Thinking about it more, we probably can't even swing 20 cabins on the FE...so, unless the next group is smaller, we'll probably have to pull out. But I'll keep an eye out on it...
I would like to do the Secret Mickey that Donna is working on making the list for.

I love the winter, so am fine with all the cold and snow, but it's very stressful for our dogs, especially one of them, who wouldn't even walk this morning, she was too cold.

We did just book our flights for our next WDW trip which is for the 24 hour party at the MK!!

When I had heard the rumor months ago, I booked our DVC and all our ADR's, was waiting for the official announcement before I booked the flights...well, as some of you may know, that was last week, so I found a good price on JetBlue out of LaGuardia, so we'll be in WDW for 4 nights from May 21-May 25, staying at BLT and partying for about 20 of the 24 hours in the MK! (we're going back in the afternoon for a nap and some lunch )

Has anyone picked out their excursions for the cruise? We're looking at a couple of snorkeling ones, one on Grand Cayman and one in Cozumel....not sure if we'll do either, both or none though!

This is our first Disney Cruise and I am new to Disboards, I have been reading some of the thread and you guys have been posted great information for newbies. I just can't seem to find the Facebook page or link to it. Can someone help me with that? Also I have Fish Extender figured out but what is Secret Mickey?

I'm crystal and so new to cruising. I have been to disneyworld tons of times but never a cruise! We have booked. We don't have a stateroom number
But I would like to join in all the fun.

It's me 35, the hubby 37(Brent), my lil (Tayen) 9, and the inlaws Dottie & David.

I just found out about the fish thing.. And would love to join me and my lil girl in that. And I have questions if you don't mind answering?

When is formal night? And do they still have formal night. I see the dress code has gotten lax and letting shorts into dinner?

Yes, they still have it.

Formal night will be Sunday. Semi-formal night is Thursday. Those are the two "dress-up" evenings. On Sunday, even the ship's officers will be in their finest. The Captain (who in our case will be the Commodore) will be available for formal night photos with Guests, wearing his "mess dress" uniform equivalent of a tux.

You are NOT required to dress up (as too many were ignoring the previous dress code so they "relaxed" it and now say it is optional) , but on those two nights it is encouraged in keeping with the elegant theme of the evening. So you can pretty much wear whatever you choose.

Hi All! I have gone through the 6 pages of posts to our cruise meet thread and have put together the working list of people who have indicated an interest in joining the Fish Extender (FE). Please take a moment to go over this initial list. If I have missed anyone, added someone in error, or have made any other error - please let me know.

If I have made an error, please accept my apologies - give me the right info and I will rectify it asap. There were some posts that did not specify joining the FE and I did not want to make any assumptions.

If you need to add a name, an age to someone in your party, your room number, etc. please either PM me or just post on the thread, as I will continue to monitor the thread and update regularly.

As for the name of our group - my vote is towards Island Amigos - but that is just me.

Another post mentioned a Secret Mickey - is that different from the FE? I am not sure what that is...

For those that are new to the FE program, please ask any questions you have as I am sure there is someone on this thread that can answer you. Also please consider ( for those that haven't ) including the ages for your children, so that we can provide age appropriate gifts.

welcome the fe exchange is kinda like a secret santa, you purchase little gifts for others that have sighned up, can be 1 gift per cabin or you can have something for each individual in the cabin its totally up to you, we are splitting into groups to keep the time and cost down not sure if its 20 cabins or if it will become a smaller amount and split up. Adults join in as well doesnt have to be just kids, once you have the list of cabins you are joined up with ,once onboard you deliver them whenever you please throughout the cruise. There is a thread here on the dis where you can see actual pics and will give you a better idea on how it all works, its alot of fun , kids love it and so do the adults!
