12/23/15 - Day at Sea

This cruise is the best of all worlds for us. A Christmas Cruise practically in my backyard but I get to be home in time for Christmas Eve service and Santa Claus.

Reservations seem to be going quickly, and its only been three days since it was announced. I was going to wait to book while on our March 2015 Wonder cruise but am afraid it may be sold out by then. So nice to spend a tank of gas to get to the boat rather then $1,200 on a flight and hotel in Miami, thank you Disney :worship:. I agree, it will be nice to have a holiday cruise and still make it home before :santa: visits.

This will be our 5th DCL cruise. Our 4th is in 2 weeks to Alaska on the Wonder. We have previously sailed on the Magic to the Eastern Caribbean and Canada from NY and on the Fantasy also an Eastern Caribbean. There will be 10 of us in 3 cabins celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary.

This will be our second Disney cruise. It will be me, my two sons J'Shawn and William(10&7) and daughter Taleesa(6). I'm so very excited that Disney is back in Texas! I've always wants to do a holiday cruise, but I'm hesitant to try other cruise lines- so this is perfect!!

I just paid the deposit after a whole lot of agonizing about stateroom selection. wasn't in love with any of my choices, but I am bound and determined to sail Disney out of Texas!

I will be sailing with my husband and three daughters, who will be 13, 11 and 7 at the time of the cruise, and by the time we sail it will be our third Disney cruise.

Glad to have found company for the long wait!

So happy to have DCL back in Texas. We are booked (along with some friends) for this 12.18.2015 sailing. we live about 1.5 hours north of Galveston so we are so excited for this sailing! I think Key West will be neat and of course Castaway is amazing.

Our son will be 9 and our daughter will be 4 at time of sailing =)

We did a 3 night on the dream last summer and will likely do another short disney cruise prior to this 2015 sailing =)

We booked this one on the first day we could, and changed to a different room today when it became available. There are 5 of us traveling in one room; me, my husband, my mother, and our two kids. Our son will be 10, and our daughter will just have turned 5.

My BFF and her husband, and their 6 year old triplets will also be on the cruise! So will her parents and her inlaws.

So we're currently a party of 14 so far, and there are a few other family members who may join us.

We are really excited. We love doing Disney cruises out of Galveston, and are thrilled they are coming back. This will be our 3rd Disney cruise (and our third out of Galveston.) It will be my BFF and her family's second Disney cruise, and their first out of Galveston.

We booked as soon as we could in a 5C and saw that prices went up the next day and many of the room categories were sold out!

I live 3.5 hours north of the Galveston port and will be bringing DH, myself, DD(she'll be 5), DS (he'll be 3). We ae booked for our first DCL cruise on a Fantasy Halloween cruise this October so this December 2015 will be our second cruise!

So fun to get this thread started an meet everyone! Only 571 days to go!!!!:cool1:

Hello fellow cruisers!

I am so excited...571 days and counting down!!!!

This will be our second cruise on the Wonder but we have never been to Castaway Cay or the Keys. I took my son on the Jan 4 cruise out of Galveston and this time we are bringing daddy along!

We are looking forward to getting to know everyone while we wait. Wahoo!

Only 571 days. HAHAHA. That's not an only. :) I will admit it seems to come faster and faster all the time.

It's so weird when registering that far ahead to put the ages of the kids. I can't believe my baby will be halfway through kindergarten when we sail.

Hi!

So excited to be on this trip. There will be 4 of us myself, dh, dd (9 at cruise time), and ds (7 at cruise time) on this trip. Can't wait. This will be our second trip on the Wonder.
