Last Trip? It was until we met Food & Wine -- Recap 2/12

FIANLLY all caught up again! I don't know what is keeping me away.....yes I do. Work! My new job is amazing, but keeps me busy with all the darn training! I hate being new sometimes!

Love all the updates! Yay for finally meeting Tim! I know you have been waiting years for that Dis Meet! Looks like you had a great day at your least favorite park!

I have to admit, I love the LOCATION of the boardwalk, not so much the hotel itself. I prefer the beach club. LOVE the AKL, just don't love the location. I can't win lol.

Looking forward to hearing about your breakfast!

Well Less than every year. When we had the motion activated sinks installed at work they told us change batteries every year. 2 years out now and they are fine.

I had new keypad locks now at work for 3 years maybe and have not changed those batteries.

They do last for a good while. I guess Housekeeping used the last of the batteries up when they turned the room over. :confused3:confused3

Thanks for the info... you are now the resident door battery changer correspondent. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Glad to hear about your brother - I am sure just being home will improve his outlook. Sorry about your mother though ... continued prayers and virtual hugs for everyone

Too bad about the delay getting into your room - guess the batteries being dead doesn't happen that often, but you'd think that would be something they would check as soon as the master key doesn't work. Oh well, guess 20 mins isn't the end of the world in the grands scheme of things.

Your room looks nigh - very bright an airy and, at least to the right, a very good and fun view!

So easy to spend more than one wants at DTD ... I am kinda scared of what might happen when I get into the co-op market place for the first time :rotfl2:

Story of my life but I'm behind again so therefore commenting on several posts.

Oh yum for the Scotch Egg! I was hoping to see that picture. ::yes:: Boo though for the sick kid running around.

Mark looks awful happy in that picture with the Scotch Flight and Scotch Egg. :rotfl:

I went back and looked at the menu again and for the life of me I can't figure out what Mark's dish is. :confused3 It doesn't sound like any of the items so maybe it was some kind of special. But your Fish and Chips looks wonderful. I'm not eating at R&C in a few weeks but I'm definitely going to get some Fish and Chips from the Yorkshire place.

There's those creepy chairs! They were MIA when we were there in February.

The Boardwalk area is just so pretty! And there's nothing cuter than Disney ducks!

Cute PP pictures with the Frozen stuff. I think that was gone when we went in October but I could have missed it.

Yay for a long awaited DIS meet! Love the photobombing by Juliana.

What? You went to Starring Roles and didn't get a cupcake? :confused3 :lmao:

Loved the photos from GMR. Mom and I missed it in October. I hate the fact that it is now a Tier 1 ride for FP+ since I can't ride Star Tours and there is really nothing else in Tier 2 that needs a FP.

Don't blame you for sitting out on RnRC, I find it way too rough and won't be riding it in a few weeks.

That picture of the ghosts on TOT is really creepy! :scared1:

Wow, the TOT videos are really cool. For some reason we didn't get those in October. Did you have to ask specifically for those or where they just in your account?

That Olaf hat is one of the funniest things I think I've ever seen. I just wonder how people keep him on their head, he seems so top heavy.

Aw, man, you got a Video with Olaf? I'm bummed at how much I missed not being there for the Summer Frozen Fun.

"The waiting pen" :rotfl2: :rotfl: Don't know why but that struck me as really funny.

Mom and I enjoyed the Frozen show also. I'm doing the Frozen Dessert Package in a few weeks so I'll get to see it again.

So cute that you guys got an anniversary gift and call from Mickey!

Whew, thank goodness those trees were blocking the scary clown pool!

Your EOS sandwiches look yummy. I'm not a big fan because with my pickyness I only like meat and the bun, no cheese or other fixings. For some reason EOS has a hard time doing special orders and I just gave up trying.

I wanted to buy everything in that co-op store with all the dishes!

Wow, I really was far behind I need to get better at keeping up.

On a last note though, so glad to hear that your brother is finally home. I hope he continues to recover. And so sorry about your Mom. I know exactly what you are going through as I saw it with my Dad.

"What is Attractions+?" It's a card they sell that gets you all the ride photos (as many times as you want) for $45. Kind of a Memory Maker or Photopass, but just for the rides. The first time I got one I had 29 ride photos, lol. Sadly, the videos don't appear to be included. :(

Thanks for filling me in on that, Rob. I guess I'd never heard of it.

Oh dear. Obviously so very glad to hear your brother is slowly recovering but also deeply sorry about your Mom.

Thank you.

You know, when a room has a couch it just somehow makes it nicer to me.

I think so too...and why I love the Villas.

Awww Anniversary Swag!! How lovely.

It was very sweet of them.

WOW, given the chaos that is DTD, getting a parking spot like that is incredible.

We were very fortunate.

HAHAHAHA, yeah, I expect that is a perfect representation of most husbands/boyfriends when Vera Bradley shopping is concerned.

I'm sure it is. ;)

There is some pretty scenery around Boardwalk but between the clown pool and the freaky chairs in the lobby that resort is very low on my to try list. :lmao:

We are staying at BWV again, but I will ONLY go to the quiet pool.

:headache: Bummer about the door to the room being messed up. At least you weren't urgently needing to get in there.

I understand these things happen, but thankfully we were not ina rush.

:yay:Yay for Earl of Sandwich and Goofy's. Both are must dos for DH and I.

We really love EOS, but we also love Wolfgang...so we try to alternate every year.

I'm so glad to hear that your brother is home - that may be the best news I've heard all week!

Thanks, Sarah. I'm happy too.

I can't believe the battery was dead ... that's one I've never heard before.

I guess it is not unusual. The custodian was trying to explain how they are going to be changing ALL of those things to something new. It was like trying to explain science to me. :confused3

The room looks really nice. And that's a great view! I love that balloon from Mickey and Minnie - so cute!

We had a lovely room and view.

I love that hallway carpet - I wonder if I can get that for my house ...

Isn't it great? I love all the little Mickey details.

Doesn't Marketplace Co-Op have some great stuff? I loved just walking through and seeing all the interesting stuff they have.

They really do; and I'm really kicking myself for not getting those dishes for Des.

So glad your brother is home!!! I'll continue thoughts for both him and your Mom!

Thank you...very much appreciated.

Mark and the captains wheel cracked me up and all those hats he tries on!

He is a hoot!

Your BW room looked great and ur views were awesome!!

Thanks; we were very happy with it. It will be exciting in May when I have a Boardwalk view.

That Earl of Sandwich, sandwich looked sooo delicious! I have never been there before!

It's very good. Very similiar to Pot Belly if you have one of those, but better.

Those Beauty and the Beast dishes were so pretty! I would so buy them and use them as my good china lol!

They really were; if I remember they were more like dessert plates.

I can't wait to see the next day! :)

I hope to get one done tonight or tomorrow. I decided yesterday when I woke up how thoroughly exhausted I am so I took the day off.

Hurray for your brother being home! SO happy for you all.

Thank you friend.

I've been to Earl of Sandwich once, about 10 years ago and swore I'd go back this trip and didn't. Next time! The food looks so good.

You must get back...it is very good.

I always look forward to your posts, they're a big highlight of my day :D

Thank you...you are very sweet.

Ahh, I fell behind but I’m all caught up now. First of all, I’m glad that your brother is doing better, and I am praying for your mom. Such a tough situation for all.

Thanks, I appreciate it.

Now, on to the TR - I LOVE the shirt you were wearing at DHS – so cute! And all the Frozen pictures of you and Mark are great! The Frozen Sing-along looks like so much fun.

Isn't it adorable? I wanted to pick up another one but, of course, they didn't have them (I got that one in June).

What a nice little Anniversary surprise in your room! I agree about the bathroom at the Boardwalk, especially after we recently stayed in a Grand Floridian Villa studio!

I think it's because I'm used to the one at Old Key West which is huge.

Looks like you had a nice time at DTD. I’m excited to shop in the new stores there at some point.

They are great new stores...and more money out of our pockets.

I love the look of your room. It looks nice and roomy and I like the airy feeling of the room itself.

It really is a pretty room.

You really lucked out finding a parking place so close to T-Rex. The whole parking and parking lot fiasco at DTD is frustrating.

Mark did awesome!

Kathy, Kathy, Kathy....you had to hide your receipt from the Christmas store? Oh wait, I seem to recall that I've done that same thing a time or two. ;)

Oh yes, I did. And I'm not surprised you did too. Let me just say I went through at least one, if not two, $100 gift cards. :rotfl2:

So glad to hear your Brother is home and on the mend. Hopefully the suffering your Mom is facing will be over soon too.

Thanks, Mo. She was a little better last night and today. They uppped her morphine.

No you didn't have the view of that horrific clown BUT you still have the CREEPY chair face things in the lobby!!! YIKES!!!

Those are kind of hard to avoid. :rotfl:

We did not do the sing along.. I do think it's a great movie i think the music is fantastic. Yet i am getting a bit tired of it... It's taking OVER!

I like it and I'm glad they are doing it. It gives the Studios a bit more to do.

ahh the love for the muppets!!!! aren't they just the best?!

I like them, but I really wish they'd update it a bit.

LOOK AT YOU getting into the hat pictures! LOVE IT!

And getting yelled at for it too.

HS shopping is my favorite.

They have great shops at DHS!

I'm so glad your brother is home! Sorry to hear your Mom is still declining, even if it's expected it's still sad. I'm sure you and Mark are both happy to be able to be home for a while.

Thank you, Steph. It has been so good to sleep in our own beds.

Great view from your room at BW Good food and shopping at DTD too, with great luck in finding a parking spot. Sounds like a good afternoon all around!

It was a perfect view (no clown) and we had fun shopping.

All caught up ( again ) I never did the sing along so seeing pictures was nice.

I'm sorry you missed it; we really enjoyed it.

I like the videos..... neat touch.

I agree; it's a nice memory to have.

Finally getting to meet up with Tim and family is priceless.

It sure was. What a terrific family.

Dead batteries on the door- Yup that happens. Not very often but it does. Easy fix though I hope.

Yes, once the maintenance guy got there, he was done in five minutes.

I know I had more to comment on but my mind ..... it just left me.

No worries on that, my mind left me a long time ago (no comments from Marv if he ever shows up again).

Glad your brother is home and keeping you all in my thoughts for your mom.

Thanks, Pat.

EDIT : I remembered- How nice of your view to have that tree keeping you safe from the creepy clown. :rotfl2:

It was perfect to have that tree hide that hideous thing.

Hollywood Studios is not our park favorite either. In fact, I'm trying to figure out how to convince my kids to skip it this summer. I'd rather have a second day at Epcot or MK. The only thing they like about Studios is TSM and I'm not sure I can justify a one day ticket for the purpose of a single ride.

I certainly would not waste a one day ticket on it...that's for sure! So much to do at the other parks.

That frozen hat on Mark is crazy huge! I wonder how heavy that was. And yes, Mark is cute and obviously a great sport!

I don't know, but there was a tall guy walking around it...we ran into him a couple of times.

Holy updates Batman! All of a sudden there are like 50 new chapters in 2 days.

I have to update when I can with my mom and I really need to get this thing rolling...Thanksgiving is in two weeks which means Christmas is right behind the corner and who has time then?

Nice job on the DISmeets! SO glad you were finally able to meet up with Tim and family. Despite what I usually say about him, they are pretty cool people. And I love Juliana's photobomb--perfect!

They are great people and I'm so glad we finally worked it out. Juliana is a doll (as are the other kids).

Looks like a great day at DHS.

It was fun for our least favorite park.

I was :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl: at you needing to hide receipts from Mark.

It happens on occasion. :rolleyes1

I know the hat pictures are always great, but the picture of Mark with the pirate skeleton really cracked me up. And as far as his pose and the expression on his face while you look at Vera Bradley bags...I know that feeling well!

The man...sometimes I wonder why I put up with him. :lmao::lmao:

At least he got some EoS out of it.:thumbsup2

Yes he did...and if I'm not mistaken, he ate the candy that was left in our room when we got back.

I was MIA most of last week. Since we don't have another Disney trip planned for a couple of years now, it is becoming difficult to stay plugged in on here. :worried: I guess, I just try to find other things in life to distract me from the blues... Not so good, since I have a TR going. :faint: Usually, those TR's keep the blues from setting in, but for now, I just have no motivation to even do that. Hope it passes quickly. ::yes::

Connie, I understand and please don't worry.

Love your room and your view at Boardwalk! :thumbsup2 Earl of Sandwich...yum!!!

Thanks; I was so happy with our view, and we love EOS.

Those dishes are so cute! :goodvibes

Yes they are; I think I'm going to check and see if they are on the website.

Checking in Kathy!!:cool1: I'm so behind and you're so good at updating that well, I've got a LOT of catching up to do ::yes:: I've missed reading your TR's and finally am able to carve a little bit of time out to read. :goodvibes:goodvibes

I loved your intro. Great pics of you and Mark. Your boys look so happy with their ladies :goodvibes :thumbsup2

Off to read!!!

Wait a minute. How did I miss your BWV update?! :confused3 Oh my soul. My dream resort and look at that view that you had, Kathy. Wow wow wow! Grinning ear to ear, here. I swear, if there is anything at all left once the estate is settled, I WILL be booking my trip to BWV in the new year. Don't care what the weather is like - I need to get the heck out of dodge before I lose my ever loving mind and Disney solves everything, right? :cloud9: I may get two trips in myself next year. Crossing fingers.

Your Cookie picture made me cry again. Ahh, such a sap today. I had coffee with a friend this morning and she has two rescue dogs and they just do me in with those eyes and sweet faces when they drop them in my lap or give me their toys. Went through a few tissues. LOL. I'm such a sucker for an adorable doggy face. I swear, they are almost human at times.

The hallway carpet is so pretty! Thank you for posting the pictures. That is the only resort I have not been in, believe it or not. I couldn't figure out how to get in from the boardwalk side when I was on my solo trip, so I gave up. I'm sure it was right in front of my face. :rotfl2:

EOS is one of our favourite go to places every trip. We never miss it. Matter of fact, we go at least twice. Your sammich pictures are making me very hungry right now!

I hope Mark is adjusting well to loss of his job. I also am glad to hear Alisha is doing well and that it's nothing terribly serious!

Oh, I LOVE the AKL. Technically we've never stayed there but I want to so badly! That bathroom is to die for! Seriously.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

SCORE on the special FP's!!! Wow, what a nice surprise Kathy!!

Ok, the sweet little "Cookie" stuffed animal Kathy.:sad1: I love it!

The Frozen fireworks looked awesome!!

Yay for a Dismeet, woo hoo!:cool1: And what a sweet gift!

Looks like a great beginning Ms. Kat!:goodvibes

I wonder how often the batteries need to be changed in the doors. :confused3

Always good to wonder as someone usually has an answer.

Wow... after looking at the studio, I'm worried for our plans for August. We were gonna try for a studio at BCV- for 8 nights. We are trying to save on points.

We discussed this by private message. I'm sure you'll work it out.

Poor Mark, he looks sad in your shopping photos. :rotfl2:

He was after the Christmas store. I think he wondered if he'd be able to eat after my shopping spree.

Glad you can't see the creepy clown from your room. :thumbsup2

I was very glad too.

I'm not sure how I feel about the room colors/feel of the room. :confused3

I really liked the rooms. I liked them better than the Beach Club.

Love EOS!!!! YUM! :goodvibes

It's so good. I really wish they'd open one here.

Hummm.... I'm curious what do you normally say about me. :confused3

Oh you should have heard him when I met him and Barry for the first time. :lmao::lmao:

Well Less than every year. When we had the motion activated sinks installed at work they told us change batteries every year. 2 years out now and they are fine.

I had new keypad locks now at work for 3 years maybe and have not changed those batteries.

They do last for a good while. I guess Housekeeping used the last of the batteries up when they turned the room over. :confused3:confused3

Thank you, Pat!!!!

Oh that Scotch Egg looks so good.

Mark loves it (I have never tried it, but I don't like eggs).

MMM, love the fish and chips at R&C.

Aren't they so good?

Nice place to be checking into. One day we will stay there. It is always booked up when we go down.

I hope you do; we've really grown to love it.

I will not miss the hat either.

To me it was just an eyesore.

You are both very convincing that you were freezing. LOL. Great pic.

Thanks, Scott.

Nice Dismeet. Love the TOT pic.

We had a blast and it was a long time coming.

Olaf was the best thing about Froxen. The music was good too but Olaf cracked me up.

Ola cracks me up too.

Another nice Dismeet.

It was fun meeting Wendy and Johnny.

Marks pic on R&RC. LOL.

Isn't that funny?

Love the videos.

I'm so glad they've added those.

The Olaf hat was perfect with Sven. LOL.

Mark wouldn't let me take the picture until he had Sven.

The Frozen FP’s are cute.

Thanks again.

Glad to hear your brother is home, hope he heals quickly. Sorry about your mother and sending positive thoughts your way.

He's got a long road, but at least he is home.

We had that problem at SSR last time with a dead door battery.

Hmmm...now I've heard this happening twice...you and me.

You did have a good view.

It was perfect.

Love the “Be Our Guest” plates. I wonder if I can order them online. I will have to look. Love them.

I'm going to look too...I really want to get them for Des.

I am caught up again.

YAY!!!!

Continued prayers for your family. Glad your brother is out of the hospital. Sad for your mom.

Thanks. Mom is a little better yesterday and today. She even ate some dinner tonight.

Yeah for a semi relaxing evening. Love the different hats!

It was a nice evening.

All caught up again! Love, love, love all the pictures! Sounds like some good times and some great DIS meets!

Thanks, Darla. We had so much fun on our DIS meets.

FIANLLY all caught up again! I don't know what is keeping me away.....yes I do. Work! My new job is amazing, but keeps me busy with all the darn training! I hate being new sometimes!

Katie, please don't worry. I know how it is and I totally understand.

Love all the updates! Yay for finally meeting Tim! I know you have been waiting years for that Dis Meet! Looks like you had a great day at your least favorite park!

Thanks; yes, it has been since 2007 or 2008 (I'm sure Tim remembers...I can never keep it straight).

I have to admit, I love the LOCATION of the boardwalk, not so much the hotel itself. I prefer the beach club. LOVE the AKL, just don't love the location. I can't win lol.

And I'm the opposite; I didn't care for the BC (that being said I may be staying there next year). AKL is fine for us as we always have a car.

Looking forward to hearing about your breakfast!

Coming up soon.

Thanks for the info... you are now the resident door battery changer correspondent. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

And she is our resident trash can correspondent.

Glad to hear about your brother - I am sure just being home will improve his outlook. Sorry about your mother though ... continued prayers and virtual hugs for everyone

Thanks, Phil...truly appreciate it.

Too bad about the delay getting into your room - guess the batteries being dead doesn't happen that often, but you'd think that would be something they would check as soon as the master key doesn't work. Oh well, guess 20 mins isn't the end of the world in the grands scheme of things.

I wasn't upset as we had no where pressing to be. But it was freezing in that hallway.

Your room looks nigh - very bright an airy and, at least to the right, a very good and fun view!

It really was and I really loved it.

So easy to spend more than one wants at DTD ... I am kinda scared of what might happen when I get into the co-op market place for the first time :rotfl2:

That's why I made it a quick "browse" of the new co-op market. I was afraid of what it would have done to my checkbook.

Story of my life but I'm behind again so therefore commenting on several posts.

Ariana, I've had the same problem.

Oh yum for the Scotch Egg! I was hoping to see that picture. ::yes:: Boo though for the sick kid running around.

I didn't let it ruin our meal.

Mark looks awful happy in that picture with the Scotch Flight and Scotch Egg. :rotfl:

He was a man in heaven.

I think someone mentioned it above and I think they were right...I think it was the corned beef and cabbage.

There's those creepy chairs! They were MIA when we were there in February.

They are creepy. I take one picture and then try to avoid looking at them.

The Boardwalk area is just so pretty! And there's nothing cuter than Disney ducks!

I agree with you.

Cute PP pictures with the Frozen stuff. I think that was gone when we went in October but I could have missed it.

Oh, that's too bad. It was across from the Wooden Oaks or whatever it is called Frozen store.

Yay for a long awaited DIS meet! Love the photobombing by Juliana.

Isn't she cute? We had a lot of fun.

What? You went to Starring Roles and didn't get a cupcake? :confused3 :lmao:

Nope; we weren't feeling a cupcake in the heat.

Loved the photos from GMR. Mom and I missed it in October. I hate the fact that it is now a Tier 1 ride for FP+ since I can't ride Star Tours and there is really nothing else in Tier 2 that needs a FP.

It's silly to waste a FP on it most times, but since I only do TSM and TOT, it isn't a bad choice for me.

Don't blame you for sitting out on RnRC, I find it way too rough and won't be riding it in a few weeks.

If I want to live, I stay off of it.

That picture of the ghosts on TOT is really creepy! :scared1:

I was surprised it turned out; it's the first time I took pictures on that ride.

Wow, the TOT videos are really cool. For some reason we didn't get those in October. Did you have to ask specifically for those or where they just in your account?

Nope, didn't ask for them, it was just on my MM.

That Olaf hat is one of the funniest things I think I've ever seen. I just wonder how people keep him on their head, he seems so top heavy.

It looks heavy and hot.

Aw, man, you got a Video with Olaf? I'm bummed at how much I missed not being there for the Summer Frozen Fun.

It continued through September, I don't know if it continued into October.

"The waiting pen" :rotfl2: :rotfl: Don't know why but that struck me as really funny.

It is, isn'tn it?

Mom and I enjoyed the Frozen show also. I'm doing the Frozen Dessert Package in a few weeks so I'll get to see it again.

Let me know how that is.

So cute that you guys got an anniversary gift and call from Mickey!

It was fun.

Whew, thank goodness those trees were blocking the scary clown pool!

Thank goodness is right.

Your EOS sandwiches look yummy. I'm not a big fan because with my pickyness I only like meat and the bun, no cheese or other fixings. For some reason EOS has a hard time doing special orders and I just gave up trying.

I wonder why? It can't be that complicated...it's just a sandwich.

I wanted to buy everything in that co-op store with all the dishes!

Wasn't it great?

Wow, I really was far behind I need to get better at keeping up.

So do I. And now the holidays are coming, and you have another trip soon.

On a last note though, so glad to hear that your brother is finally home. I hope he continues to recover. And so sorry about your Mom. I know exactly what you are going through as I saw it with my Dad.

Thanks, Ariana.

Good to hear your brother is doing better! I'm glad you enjoyed the sing a long!

Thanks, Amanda. He's got a long road, but he is home and happy about that.

Checking in Kathy!!:cool1: I'm so behind and you're so good at updating that well, I've got a LOT of catching up to do ::yes:: I've missed reading your TR's and finally am able to carve a little bit of time out to read. :goodvibes:goodvibes

Molly, my dear, dear friend. I have missed you so. Thank you for coming back.

I loved your intro. Great pics of you and Mark. Your boys look so happy with their ladies :goodvibes :thumbsup2

They are very happy, and thank you.

Off to read!!!

I hope you enjoy.

I don't think I posted it on my regular FB (you kind of get tired of the comments of the people who don't understand our Disney love). I'll have to remember to send you a note when I update. We have really fallen in love with the Boardwalk, the staff and it's location.

I don't think I'll have any more Cookie updates but one, so no more tears.

The hallway carpet is so pretty! Thank you for posting the pictures. That is the only resort I have not been in, believe it or not. I couldn't figure out how to get in from the boardwalk side when I was on my solo trip, so I gave up. I'm sure it was right in front of my face. :rotfl2:

It is a tad hard to figure how to get in from the backway. If we hadn't gone out that way, I probably wouldn't have found it either.

EOS is one of our favourite go to places every trip. We never miss it. Matter of fact, we go at least twice. Your sammich pictures are making me very hungry right now!

I could eat there twice took, but so many other great places to eat.

I hope Mark is adjusting well to loss of his job. I also am glad to hear Alisha is doing well and that it's nothing terribly serious!

He did; it turned out to be a blessing. He started a new part-time job last week. :) And Alisha still having pain and may still eed a test or two, but nothing serious.

Oh, I LOVE the AKL. Technically we've never stayed there but I want to so badly! That bathroom is to die for! Seriously.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Top three resort of all time in our book. I do love that bathroom.

SCORE on the special FP's!!! Wow, what a nice surprise Kathy!!

We had such pixie dust this trip.

Ok, the sweet little "Cookie" stuffed animal Kathy.:sad1: I love it!

Thanks; I like to keep her close.

The Frozen fireworks looked awesome!!

They really were...we really enjoyed them.

Yay for a Dismeet, woo hoo!:cool1: And what a sweet gift!

It was good to see Cynthia again, and she was very sweet to bring me a gift.

Looks like a great beginning Ms. Kat!:goodvibes

Thanks, Molly.

I was up around 6:15 to get showered and get Mark up. We had to be somewhere for an 8:00 breakfast. While Mark was finishing up getting ready, I told him I'd wait outside as I wanted to get a picture or two. And this is what I got and posted on FB:

Mark met me and we walked to get the car and started our drive. We were going here:

We had a front row parking spot since we were so early and walked to the TTC.

When we got there, we found that neither the monorail or the ferry was running as of yet. A CM asked where we were going and we gave him the info and he directed us to a bus that would take us directly to our destination.

Mark and I boarded the bus (it was one of the brand new ones) and we had it all to ourselves.

Someone was getting excited

Picture of the GF as we passed it by

And at our destination

The MNSSHP has already started it's run

After we checked in and were allowed through the gates, I took a few pictures as we went under the train station

I love an empty Main Street

We stopped for photopass pictures

I took some pictures around the hub

We had to head to check in for our ADR, although I stalled a bit because of our friends were running just a tad late, so I took a few more pictures

I had Mark stall and told him to check in at the restaurant in about five minutes as I went to greet our friends. A picture of the castle as I walked

And then I found them. The PP photographer wasn't busy, so I suggested they stop and get some photos before we went to eat

Mark had us checked in and when we got back we were ready to be seated

I think it was Christopher who suggested Mark try these on

Gabby ignoring the character. Or more like she didn't know Eeyore was there

Juliana and Eeyore

Christopher getting into the action

I believe Eeyore is Mel's favorite

Yep, Mel was showing Eeyore the love

And, of course, you could not leave Mark out on the Eeyore love

Up next was Pooh. And Gabby was not happy. She had to hide by mommy and Pooh felt bad

And then the tears

We had some time for food before our other friends came

My plate

Mark's plate

After we were all able to get food, my favorite guy came around

Juliana borrowed my ears

And, of course, I had to get in a picture too

Piglet soon followed

I just love his smile

While eating breakfast, Juliana and I were busy making a bet. She didn't want to try the Puffed French Toast. I told her if she did, that I would do any ride with her. You'll have to read the next update to see who won that bet.

In case you didn't guess, this is where we were eating breakfast

It was time to move on to do some attractions. We waited a bit for the bill and then waited for the change, but then we were off.

Gabby and Christopher got comfy in their stroller

Unfortunately, they didn't get to stay in long because we wanted to get a group photopass picture.

We had a great guy who was willing to use each of our individual cameras and then his own. My camera

Photopass photographer

We got Ana and Christopher alone too

Up next, we get some rides done and see some "characters"

Oh, don't you just love when Main Street is so quiet and empty? Such a peaceful and happy place indeed! Crystal Palace is my favorite place for breakfast and character interaction. The kids looked like they had a marvelous time. You can tell what a special family they are from all the photo's. Poor Pooh! ;) lol

You really had some good Photo Pass photographers - the pictures came out so great! Makes for wonderful memories.

Thanks for another fun update. Read you soon! :surfweb:

Thud. :faint: These pictures make me want to be in Disney RIGHT NOW. I've never done CP for breakfast, but each time you post pictures and rave about that puffed French toast, I always say that's where I will try next time. But... never do. :( Love LOVE!! Magic Kingdom when it's so empty. It just seems more magical to me for some reason. The quietness and solitude where you are able to hear yourself think and just dream and imagine. Ahhhh :cloud9:

Don't worry about letting me know about when you post updates. I'll just have to get my butt on here more often. I'm obsessed with BWV right now. Glad to know that finding the entrance from the back side doesn't require having a rocket science degree. I'll just have to book a ressie there and find it myself! :thumbsup2 Yeah!

Any idea what weather is like in January or February, by chance or is it a crapshoot? Remember, I am Canuck so 60s and low 70s is a-ok with me. :rolleyes1

I was a bout 10 pages behind, but finally got caught up! I'm a slacker lately.

What wonderful Dis meet ups. Glad you got the have breakfast with Tim and family too. I've met Tim's mom so that must be Mel's mom.

The tower of terror videos are great.

Brekafast looks like a lot of fun.
