Losing weight for the mouse in 2015

Ok, here is my "Model My Diet" image...

I actually had my GYN tell me that he knew it was so hard and felt impossible, but I have to lose weight to lower my risk of uterine cancer...he is right many times it feels impossible. I just hate that I gave up soda, sweets, count every calorie and exercise daily and it just seems to not change anything :(

There have been times I have worked so hard at it for months with 2 or 3 pounds to show and I fall right back off the wagon because I start thinking all this work for nothing when I was eating whatever I wasn't losing or gaining...

I have not tried food elimination, what is it?

You basically eliminate all foods and add them back one by one to see how they effect your body and/or weight loss.

So, the first two weeks is the "cleanse" and it is basically drinking whey shakes for breakfast and lunch and eating veggies. Then you add back in lean protein, starchy veggies, eggs, dairy (most one at a time) last to be added back is carbs/gluten. You will see an immediate response after the first two weeks. I can't (ie shouldn't) eat gluten.

I thought my family was the only ones trying to lose weight to go on a cruise. We are so excited about this cruise that we have started eating healthier and working out Glad we finally have something to motivate us.

Keep up the great work all!!

Hubs and I made a bet to see who could lose more for our trip! If I win I get a bit more spending money for the trip and if he wins he gets his tattoo he wants. Win win!

Last night I noticed him going for a few pieces of chocolate so I said "Sure, go ahead. Looks like I'm winning that bet, huh?" He just stood there looking at me for a minute, put them back and grabbed a carrot LOL. I think this competition might just be the best thing for us!!!

How is everyone else doing??

Ok, so how long do you eat the food that you reintroduced before you know for sure if it is causing trouble? And then after that if you have a problem do you go two weeks without it and try the next one or do you go straight to the next food?

I wish I could say it's going well. I'll be in the gym today, but couldn't resist when my daughter (who works at Publix) brought home my favorite salsa (Cigar City Salsa), and a bag of Tostitos scoops. The salsa is quite healthy and all natural (no added sugar and this awesome "smokey yet fresh" taste), but I need to improve the transport method. I plan to try baking it with chicken.

I was a bit disappointed with myself last night and didn't bother weighing myself this morning. :( Today will be better.

Keep up the good fight!

Today is a new day! Even if you were to have a slice of cake this morning you can still decide to say that the rest of the day will be a new start. You got this!!!

Salsa chicken is delicious! Yum!!

Hi! We are headed to Disney World in November. I would like to lose 50 pounds by then. I'm cutting back on sweets and cutting out soda and fast food while using Plexus products. For exercise, I'll be doing a lot of walking when it warms up. I have a stationary bike, but it goes mostly unused. Lol. I'm so excited to see this weight loss thread because this is just what I need to keep me going for these 10 long months!

I believe it was 48 hours. You spend about 2 weeks on each "elimination" regardless of what the results are. I have all the paperwork. If you pm me your email I can try to email it to you. My scanner is broken so I might have to wait until I have time at work.
The first week is a killer. You really do eliminate everything (coffee, sugar, etc). I fell off because DH surprised me with an anniversary trip and I didn't have the food with me. The shakes are the most important part (and honestly sooo delicious) so it's good to have a good blender or I have the nutribullet. And I didn't have it with me.

Myfitnesspal has been helping me a lot. I'm down 5lbs since I started on Monday. I'm sure it's probably water weight but it's 5 lbs less on me!! :lmao: MFP is easy to work and you still can eat normal foods. It counts your calorie intake. If you sign up look for me: disney_me. Also there are other DIS'ers using this app as well.

I am doing weight watchers. I was weighed in on Wednesday so I have my base weight. I have been working hard but I am struggling. Hopefully things will get easier. Anyone else doing weight watchers?

I am! I weigh in Mondays. I've been hungry but hoping I get used to it soon. I lost 30lbs on WW 2 years ago, and to be honest, I was not 100% with tracking. Maybe 75%. So I did well even without being completely faithful

I'll look for you. I'm an on again/off again my fitness pal user. Accountability would certainly help!

Count me in on this, too! I had a baby in April and just hit my pre preggo weight this week. I have another 40ish to lose until I am at a "healthy" weight. I am doing South Beach Diet. The no carb thing in phase one really helps me detox. I'm already down 4.2lbs the first week! As of today, I would like to be down an additional 15-20lbs by the time we check in on 4/29.

Good luck to everyone!

I want to be in on this too :) we check in on Sept 20th so that gives me 35 weeks. I have a bit more loftier goal than most haha ! I would like to lose 97 pounds by then. I know it sounds like a lot but it's roughly 2.77 a week. Seems somewhat attainable to me :) I started this last week with a low carb diet and it has gone really well. I am planning on weighing in on mondays do fingers crossed! I am super motivated having this trip booked do hopefully this will be my year!!!

Try slicing a cucumber really thin and using it as "chips". It tastes pretty good!

I'm in! We're going in November, and I'd like to drop around 40lbs! I had lost a pretty good bit before our trip in September 2013, but I've gained it all back. :headache: I have the worst sweet tooth. Ugh.

Jenn- are you in AZ (based on your name?) What part?

Ugh- just caved and had McDonald's for lunch. I had less fries than normal. I need to figure out something "healthy" to get there. It is like a block away and we end up there a lot.
