Ok, here is my "Model My Diet" image...
I actually had my GYN tell me that he knew it was so hard and felt impossible, but I have to lose weight to lower my risk of uterine cancer...he is right many times it feels impossible. I just hate that I gave up soda, sweets, count every calorie and exercise daily and it just seems to not change anything
There have been times I have worked so hard at it for months with 2 or 3 pounds to show and I fall right back off the wagon because I start thinking all this work for nothing when I was eating whatever I wasn't losing or gaining...
I have not tried food elimination, what is it?
You basically eliminate all foods and add them back one by one to see how they effect your body and/or weight loss.
So, the first two weeks is the "cleanse" and it is basically drinking whey shakes for breakfast and lunch and eating veggies. Then you add back in lean protein, starchy veggies, eggs, dairy (most one at a time) last to be added back is carbs/gluten. You will see an immediate response after the first two weeks. I can't (ie shouldn't) eat gluten.
I wish I could say it's going well. I'll be in the gym today, but couldn't resist when my daughter (who works at Publix) brought home my favorite salsa (Cigar City Salsa), and a bag of Tostitos scoops. The salsa is quite healthy and all natural (no added sugar and this awesome "smokey yet fresh" taste), but I need to improve the transport method. I plan to try baking it with chicken.
I was a bit disappointed with myself last night and didn't bother weighing myself this morning. Today will be better.
Keep up the good fight!
Ok, so how long do you eat the food that you reintroduced before you know for sure if it is causing trouble? And then after that if you have a problem do you go two weeks without it and try the next one or do you go straight to the next food?
Hi! We are headed to Disney World in November. I would like to lose 50 pounds by then. I'm cutting back on sweets and cutting out soda and fast food while using Plexus products. For exercise, I'll be doing a lot of walking when it warms up. I have a stationary bike, but it goes mostly unused. Lol. I'm so excited to see this weight loss thread because this is just what I need to keep me going for these 10 long months!
I am doing weight watchers. I was weighed in on Wednesday so I have my base weight. I have been working hard but I am struggling. Hopefully things will get easier. Anyone else doing weight watchers?
Myfitnesspal has been helping me a lot. I'm down 5lbs since I started on Monday. I'm sure it's probably water weight but it's 5 lbs less on me!! MFP is easy to work and you still can eat normal foods. It counts your calorie intake. If you sign up look for me: disney_me. Also there are other DIS'ers using this app as well.

Try slicing a cucumber really thin and using it as "chips". It tastes pretty good!
