Ok, another quirk with this new layout that I'm not liking....if there are no new posts, and I just click the title of the thread to go to it, it brings me to the first post, not the last.
So, this post may be of interest to PiO, maybe not too many others, but hey.....
I have been considering my camera options for the May trip. For some years I was using a Kodak Easyshare Z712 IS; this was the first camera I ever researched and purchased on my own (up to that point I got all my dad's hand-me-downs), and I
love it.
The picture quality is great, the colors are rich and true, and it has an amazing zoom, esp. for a little non-DSLR (although you
can set the individual features manually if you want to). Anyway, a couple of years ago I got a bunch of cameras from my dad when he basically stopped taking photos, and among the film offerings was another digital, this one a Minolta DiMage 7i (it also has interchangeable lenses, sort of a cross-over camera, if you will). It has more settings to mess with, so I thought I'd play around with it and make it my primary camera.
So, while I've enjoyed using it, I've come to the distinct conclusion that the Kodak takes a better picture. I suddenly noticed that I've had several pics from the Minolta that came out out-of-focus (and it can be hard to see that ahead of time in the little view screen with my eyes!! lol!).
Here are a couple of examples from each camera....
Minolta:

It's a nice shot of the cat on the chair, but you can see it's just not real crisp and is a bit washed out, color-wise.

Just another cat-on-a-chair pic, but better color and crisp detail.
Conclusion: I'm dusting off the Kodak, refreshing my memory on its features, and that's the camera coming to WDW in May!!
