Has anyone decorated their Magic Bands? Please show us the pictures!

Checking in from WDW. We have been here since Friday. The bands have held up great and no issues with the Mickey heads being covered in nail polish. They still work perfectly.

One thing though, the bands have slowed us down some because all the CMS have to stop us and check them out. :lmao:
We ran in to the same type odd problem. The CM's wanted to take a look at our MB's!image.jpg

I just noticed your user name now! And factoring in this comment, I'm assuming SRU stands for the local college just about 20 minutes from me?

Such a small world! NE Ohio girl here! And frequent Pat Catans patron! So funny!!

I am all about personalizing magicbands! It's a great conversation starter - lots of guests and cast members will ask you about your personalized magicbands. Now I'm not very artistic, so I went the sticker route and purchased these from www.myfantasybands.com - they came quickly and I never had any problems with them (just make sure to follow the instructions!)

How easy or not easy were they to apply? I was just on the site and love some of the designs :)

I found it pretty easy! Definitely use a hairdryer to heat up the magicband and adhesive and let the band sit overnight for it to set before wearing it. The website has a nice little photo tutorial. It doesn't take very long at all - maybe 5-10 minutes if you're obsessive like me and want it to be straight.

Here's the link to the instructions: http://www.myfantasybands.com/pages/application.htm

Great! It will def take me the better part of the 5-10 minutes lol Did you wrap it around a bottle while it set overnight?

We are heading to Disney World in a week and a half, and I am so excited about how our bands are turning out! I used permanent adhesive vinyl and cut it on my silhouette cameo. This is mine and my 2 1/2 year old's (she is a Rapunzel nut). My husband is boring and didn't want his decorated. I still want to add some small flowers on Rapunzel's braid, but I love them so far! It is my first time attaching photos, I hope I did it right!

So I'm curious to see how your Magic Bands worked out! Did the vinyl stay adhered? Did you end up putting a clear coat under the vinyl? Over the top of it?

Funny that I happened to be on here today to see this! We are heading home tomorrow and my band held up pretty well. Some of the skinny pieces started to lift, but I think it had more to do with constantly picking up or holding my kiddo. I didn't use a clear coat at all. I did use my hair dryer to heat up the vinyl a little bit while applying to help it adhere better. Everything I have read about vinyl is not to coat it because it actually needs to breath and will stick better the longer it sits. If it gets covered it will actually be more likely to not adhere. I am not sure if doing something to the band first would help or not. Good luck with yours! I got lots of compliments ;)

Thanks so much! I'm glad yours held up, and I hope you've had a wonderful trip!

Finally got my MB's and had to go right to work. They are not perfect, but I am happy and my family is very happy with them.
Here they are... left to right, Hubby's-Alladin, daughters-Howl's Moving Castle,sons-Wall-e,and mine-Mulan. The pictures are the same order of band, just turning them so I can show the entire band.

These are so cute! Where did you buy the tattoos?

Does anyone know where I can find Lilo & Stitch stickers or tattoos? I haven't found any that aren't either way too big for the band or way too expensive.

Have you looked at myfantasybands.com She has some pretty cool designs. If she hasn't already, I think she will be releasing new designs soon.

I'm looking for stickers or tattoos so I can decorate my own bands. Sorry, that wasn't very clear in my first post. She does have some really neat designs though, so I might order from her if I can't find anything else.

Make your own? You can buy ink jet printable tattoo paper and download images to print.

I just bought printable temporary tatoo's from Ebay. Then I used GIMP to create the "film" effect with just pics I had googled from each film. It took a bit of work, but the kids and hubby loved the outcome! We received SOOOO many comments about them on our trip. The CM's every where we went were stopping us to look at them because they had never seen anything like them before.
