Day 1, Wednesday May 13th: Magic Kingdom
Our first park day! We decided on the first park to be visited would be MK due to crowd calendars, since we’re arriving on a Tuesday, most calendars show MK being the best option for Wednesday. We will probably wake up around 7am, and get ready/dressed, since I tend to take showers the night before that leaves a little more time in the mornings for sleep. Since we are staying in a club level access room, I will at least go up to the lounge to get something to eat (I get hangry… and its not pretty). I’m sure Kenny will do the same the first day, but he isn’t normally hungry in the mornings. We will try and get to/on a bus by 8:00am, and arrive for the opening show! From there, our day will look something like this:
Rope Drop – 9:20am: Picture in front of Castle, Meet Merida
Merida was one of our best character interactions last year!
9:20am – 11:40am: Meet Cindy and Rapunzel (1st FP), 7DMT (#2nd FP) Rides in Fantasyland, and snack #1
We didn’t get to meet Rapunzel last year, and not that she is my favorite princess, but I really love character interactions. I think after this we will try to ride the Carousel, the Teacups, and see Mickey’s PhiharMagic (which we loved last year). For our snack, it’s a cake cup from the Cheshire Café. These are AMAZING. And we couldn’t pass it up again! Hopefully we will be able to catch Alice and the White Rabbit again this year after our snack, and then ride 7DMT which our FP starts at 10:30am, but we might not get on until closer to 11:15ish.
11:50am – 2:30pm: Lunch, Tomorrowland Rides, Space Mountain (3rd FP)
Our lunch reservation starts at 12:15pm, but I’ll probably check in at 12. I’m thinking it will take us about 20 to 30 minutes to eat (maybe less, but it is air conditioned…). After lunch, I would like to get in line for the meet with Gaston, which was another great character from last year (I might have accidently said that I was breaking up with Kenny for him….Whoops!) In Tomorrowland I think we would like to go to Monster’s Inc. Laugh Floor (again – Kenny loved it last year), and maybe Astro Orbiter. Our Space Mountain FP comes up at 1:55pm (But I’m thinking about moving it a little earlier… What do you guys think?)
After we finish our 3rd FP, we will probably make a 4th one right away, to Meet Ariel in her Grotto which a return time that is in the area of 7pm.
2:30pm – 3:30pm: Find a spot for FoF and then watch it! After the parade, we will return to our hotel for a nap (I’m thinking we’ll get back by 4:30/5). After that, we will leave the hotel at 6. I know this isn’t a very long nap, but I think we might need it. If we feel like we don’t, then we might not take it or just go to a monorail resort and look around. I’d rather have a short one planned than not and then need it.
Hopefully returning by 7pm, we will get to meet Ariel. Then, if there are FP left, we will probably make one starting around 8:40pm for Journey of the Little Mermaid.
We have a dinner reservation at Crystal Palace at 7:40pm. After dinner, we will use our last FP (if we made it) and then maybe ride It’s A Small World (or maybe not, and we will just go with the flow). We will then find a good spot to watch Wishes, and afterwards we will probably jump into the shops… because… I have to get that new Pandora charm of Belle’s dress and of Cinderella’s castle.
Then back to AKL for a shower and a good nights sleep!
19 more days to go! I can’t believe we broke 20 days! It seems like just yesterday we were still over 100 and all I wanted to do was be in Disney!
If anyone has any suggestions to my plans, please let me know! If you think that I’m not leaving enough time for something, or that, I’m leaving too much time and could possibly fit something else in, I am very open to suggestions.
