Wet, Sweat, Fun & Sun But You Have HOW Many Snack Credits Left?

It's still 180 but we have to call EACH day. I have had to do this 3 out of the 4 times and it is a major PITA. That is why I always got up at 4 to call by 7 EC time. I figured we would be dealing with major heat because our very first trip was in May and was already super hot. Like I said I guess I will just have to see what we get. I really hope somehow we can get into BOG as it wasn't there last time and I really want to see it. Will just have to keep trying and I will def get whatever times we can get. I usually always go early or late anyway to avoid peak times.

seems like quite the travelling gain, very anxious to see how you manage all the variables.

Welcome!!

We did BOG dinner at 4pm, when they opened. It was awesome as we only had a couple other families in our dining room.

That's smart I try to do that as well. Early lunches and early dinners or LATE dinners but I prefer early. We are always on a budget and since we aren't doing a dinning plan and have to pay for everything we will only do one sit down a day. So we will eat breakfast at our timeshare and some days we will have a sit down lunch and a QS dinner but most it will be QS lunch and sit down dinner so if we DO get an early dinner we can make sure and eat an early lunch.

We got on our shuttle to the airport around 3:30am and were dropped off at the Southwest Terminal. Curbside wasn't open yet and we were trying to figure out how to get all of our suitcases inside. While we were standing on the sidewalk, I got a call from the TSA agent that would be assisting us. Two agents came out to help us. Luckily, the curbside agent came out and we dragged all of our suitcases over to get them tagged. They also printed out new boarding passes. Once everything was done, the TSA agents took us inside. We made our way down to the security gates and went through a separate line and were expedited through. We gave the agents the formula we had for Michayla and then put all the usual stuff in the bins to go through the scanner. They took us to another area where they had our formula and then tested Michayla's wheelchair. Since Michayla was in the chair, they had to do a pat down of one of the adults.....thank God Mike was there & willing to do that. Once that was done, we were free to head to our gate. The agents asked if we needed assistance down to the gates, but I said we were good. They gave me a business card that I can email in and let them know how our experience was. It was nice to get the help through security.

We went down to our gate and then Addy & I went down to a little food kiosk and picked up drinks and muffins for breakfast.

I checked in with the gate agent and we got pre-boarding for Shyann due to her peanut allergy and Michayla for her autism and wheelchair. The kids played on a little play structure that just happened to be in front of our gates until we were called up to pre-board. We got the first 2 rows and we put Anthony right across the aisle from us. Mike sat in the front with Michayla and Jasmin and I sat in the 2nd row with Addy & Shyann. We gave the 3 girls benedryl (as prescribed by their doctor to help with the anxiety) and we settled in for the flight. We had no idea how the kids would do, as NONE of them had ever flown before. Addy & Tony were both nervous and I told them if they can handle California Screamin' and Tower of Terror at Disneyland, that they could handle flying.

As we backed up, Michayla started to rock back-n-forth (front to back) in her seat. She does this when she wants to go. We taxied out to the runway and soon we were cruising and lifting off. Michayla loved it!! All the kids got big eyes but were smiling and enjoying it. They all did great! I couldn't believe how well all the kids did. I had made up fun little bags with toys, coloring books and snacks that helped entertain them for the 2 1/2 hr flight.

Our flight connected in Denver. We had a couple hours, so we headed towards some food options. We chose LaCasita, a Mexican restaurant (sort of fast food style). It was really, REALLY good. So if you fly into Denver.....look them up!!

We went down to our gate and again checked in with the agent to get our pre-boarding. We lucked out again & was able to get the same seating arrangement we did the first leg. This leg was a 3 1/2 hr flight to Orlando. The kids did amazing again!!

We landed in Orlando and got on the monorail to take us to the main terminal. We passed by a TSA agent that was just sitting there.....doing nothing and I guess possibly a pilot. I asked if they could point us in the right direction for the Magical Express and they looked at me and said, "we're not the information booth". Well duh, I just thought possibly out of politeness they could help.......my bad! We did find the actual Information Booth and asked for directions. We headed down and finally found it!

This is where you will first use your MagicBand. We were instructed to head down Lane #5.

We checked in to make sure they were ready for Michayla's wheelchair and they said that it wasn't noted on our reservation. I ensured them it was discussed when I made the reservations months ago. Luckily the bus was w/c ready (I guess not all of them are). They loaded Michayla and the rest of our family got on the bus.

The Magical Express shows tips and cartoons as you travel to your resort.

As we neared our destination.

The first stop was the Art of Animation Resort.

We finally arrived at our resort~~Pop Century!!

We checked in & started heading towards our rooms & we ran into Derek (who was heading our way)!!

We tried to go with a snack at the resort and then a QS lunch and Table Service dinner. Most days went this way.......

Since Derek was in the Disney College Program when he booked our 2 rooms, we got the CM discounted rate. We went with the Preferred Pool View Rooms, which are located in the 60's Section. We were on the ground floor, basically on the pool deck.....close to the Hippy Dippy Pool, laundry, Petals Bar, Food Court, Front Desk and Bus Stops. It was the perfect location!

These are pictures from our room(s).

Ok I am in and caught up! can't wait to hear all of the rest. Taking my kids for the first time next April so excited to read about your kids first-time reactions!

After dinner, we went back to the room, settled in for our 11 nights, watched a little TV and fell fast asleep. It had been a long travel day but we had finally arrived!

I'm so glad the flights went well. I can't believe it went so smoothly.....

We can't either....we had a lot of anxiety going into this. Too many horror stories of families being kicked off of flights for disruptive autistic kids. The passengers around us had no clue we had an autistic child let alone 3!!

Hooray!!! The food looks good and I love the memoriable

The food actually was pretty good. I loved the fish-n-chips! It was fun seeing the memorabilia, as I had some of that stuff growing up!

This sounds like a wonderful trip! Can't wait to read more

Welcome!! I'll get more posted tomorrow!!
