"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

Cruella was right by the train station in fantasyland on the left hand side. Kinda hidden if you didn't know!

Again I have to recant my statement saying it wasn't crowded. It was, however again as two young men it was manageable without kids or toddlers, elderly or being pregnant. If I had any of those it might have been s lot more difficult to navigate the crowds easily.

For anyone who attended one of the parties this year, was there a published meet and greet time schedule for Jack Sparrow? That is the ONE character we have to meet for my son's sake and I'm trying to plan a strategy to do so with minimal waits since we will also have an impatient 2 year old with us :)

Any insight is much appreciated!!

I'm just hoping, by oct 13th, they still have these (or add them to the parks shop):

My 13 year old daughter is dying for one!

I saw these in August and regretted not getting one! We will be there in two weeks...I hope they still have them!!

There are several stores I've seen with them just not at magic kingdom.
Thank you! I do think I remember seeing those in an outside shop now that you reminded me!! BTW that you so much for the party updates! We will be with a 4 & 3 year old so I'm hoping that trick or treating lines aren't horrendous. I read you staked out the west side for parade and firework viewing in the FP area. I've enjoyed that spot with my family for Festival of Fantasy Parade viewing before. About what time did you stake your claim for the viewing? With all the tips on here I'm trying to time things appropriately :)

Watched the parade from the central part of the hub then moved over to the fp area for wishes. We were near where one of the spokes for the hub is for the parade near a trash can. We got to the parade spot about 5:30ish.

So a quick review of my MNSSHP from a group of first timers. It was my 8m pregnant self, DH and 2yo DD. We wanted to arrive early, but due to a boat mishap at FW, we ended up arriving right around 6:45. We did get in quickly and got bands and bags. There were announcements telling people if you didnt buy a ticket to get out. There was a LOT of CM around, checking bands, and trying to get the people sitting on Main Street not wearing bands moving along. We headed away from the hub as it was a mess, and didnt want to be part of it. We walked into Fantasy Land and it was still pretty busy. We waited 15m for Pooh, then went over to the 7 dwarves character line. It was well over an HOUR!! No way would my 2yo handle that. Gaston had a short wait, but DD is not into face characters, so we passed. We ended up hitting some TorT station, then went into Circus area. Lines for characters were again REALLY long. So we took DD on Dumbo, then went down the treat trail.

Once in Tomorrow land, the dance party was in full swing, and SM was a walk on. So DH rode that, and DD and I danced with the Monsters for a bit. Then we all rode the TTA 2x. We also got pics with Buzz since it was a short line. Lotso, not so much. We then decided to head toward the other side of the park, but the hub was still a super crowded mess, so went back through FL. Dwarves line was still super long...so we kept moving. Once in Liberty, we saw HM was a 45m wait, so again, skipped it. We grabbed a snack and rested again, as I was getting really really tired. We walked through to Adventure land just before the fireworks started, and it was DEAD. We got more candy, then headed back to Liberty to watch the fireworks. They were great. We headed to the baby station to change DD and rest again, then went back through Adventure toward FL.

FL was a TOTAL mess. There was no spots to be found. The secret is out that this is a great spot to see the 2nd parade. We got to see the Headless Horseman, but we were way to far back for DD to see anything. So we raced the parade to the hub area, and the CM were great there and found us a great spot. The parade is a cannot miss. Once it was over, we decided to check dwarves again. Line was short....and CLOSED!!! I was soooo bummed. So we moved on for more candy, and all the characters were heading in at this point. By this time, I was done. My body was giving out and it was so humid. We walked the trail for the last bits of candy, which the CMs took pity on my and gave me LARGE handfuls..we rested a bit in tomorrowland, then headed out. We finally made it back to FW at 1:30am.

So overall, we rode some rides with little wait, but the main draw of the characters were just not possible with a active, non patient toddler. It was a LOT busier than I expected a Sept Halloween party to be. I heard that the J&S lines were really long all night. I never did find Cruella. I did see The Hag, but again, we skipped. My DD had a good time, and so did the adults, but I think Disney is selling way to many tickets and it is next to impossible to see it all in one night anymore.

How did you find the lines at the Trick or Treat stations to be and how bout on the candy trail b/w barnstormer and space mtn?

Didn't read the whole thread but I just wanted to say that if you're a fan of Hocus Pocus you absolutely can't miss the stage show! As a 30 year old man it hit me right in the childhood. The final musical number was amazing! I was expecting some bad imitations but the acting/singing was spot on. I camped out for the parade and caught the first show from the center hub by the statue and after the parade was over a few others around me and I rushed to the stage to watch the show a second time up close. It was that good! I even caught the end of it again on the way out after 12.

Um....I thought you said you were a fan of the movie?? But yet you stayed through 'I put a spell on you'???? Rookie mistake :joker:

Since Jack and Sally were out way before 7pm, I wonder how many non-party people were able to take advantage of a "party exclusive"? Do you think they checked party bands for that M&G? They are a priority for our MNSSHP but if they come out early maybe we could sneak in more characters. I wonder how early the earliest people were in line for them and what time were those people done?

Do they allow you, or are you able, to save seats for the parade? We're planning to find a spot early on, but my 2-year old is only recently potty trained and I know one of us will probably have to take him to the bathroom at some point. If one of us leaves with him for a few minutes, are we going to have a hard time holding the space?

It shouldn't be a problem unless some jerks come along and try to push in. Try to put a backpack or bags in their spot while they're gone.

I have this same exact situation and my game plan was to stay with the stroller saving their spots and then have the hubs take him to the potty.

We did this at MVMCP. I recommend the more aggressive person holding the spots bc people were just jerks trying to push their way in. If I'd left my sweet husband, we would've been down two spots! I had to be very firm to keep the spots. I used our stroller and giant bag. Another tip- bring towels or blankets to spread out. I saw people doing this so it was obvious those were their spots.

Also turn the stroller sideways to hold the spot...then you can face it forward when it's time for the parade. You claimed the spot and waited, nothing wrong with defending it!!!

Oooh, that's a good idea, thank you! I don't mind fighting to defend my spot but at 13 weeks pregnant, I don't want to be pushed out of the way! DH is a 6 foot Italian New Yorker, maybe I'll leave him to guard our spot and I'll do bathroom trips with our son!
