Rivers of Light, Soarin' completion date

The rumor is Spring for Rivers of Light. Some are guessing that it might debut on Earth Day, April 22, 2016.

The word on Soarin' is that it won't open again until June 2016.
Yeah rivers of light seems to be moving along nicely I can't imagine any major delays there.

Goodness, if Rivers of Light isn't open I may just postpone my whole trip. Going in May with so much closed is not good value for the money we're spending to be there.
So much closed? Soarin is really the biggest one. Nothing more has been announced to be closing at DHS yet. I believe the only other major thing would be the BTMRR refurb. That's not a lot really.

I know the feeling, We don't plan on re scheduling anything... But our family was really looking forward to Soarin' also, and I'm definitely disappointed it will be closed. Guess I will just anticipate that and the Star Wars area for our next trip. :-)

You should be able to edit the thread title. I never have a problem when I want to change one of mine

I can't imagine moving a trip date based upon a single attraction.
It's not just Rivers if Light. It's Soarin, counting on the new A&E which may or may not be open, Animation, nothing really in the 3D theater, Innoventions, One Mans Dream, and I'm sure there's more.

One mans dream is still open. Animation is now launch bay. Innoventions didn't have a whole lot in it before it closed. I wouldn't book a trip based on new attractions rumored opening dates.

Plus Innoventions had a lot of hands on things for the kids. O also miss Cranium Command, Body Wars, Backlot Tour with Catastrophe Canyon. We liked all the things for the little ones like drawing or learning how paper is made

1) I doubt it.
2) The new SIGNATURE restaurant at the beginning of Avatarland won't be ready until late April-ish.
3) And, they want The River and the eatery to open at the same time.
Rusty, What's the logic of waiting to open the River and the eatery at the same time? Construction equipment/walls obstructing the view?

Probably rivers of light dinner packages. Fantasmic and world of color do them. I'm guessing Tiffins will be the place for rivers of light dinner packages.

.
1) The idea is that part of the Signature experience is the river show. *
2) Plus, that is when the new lighting for Tree Of Life begins, as well as the nighttime Safari. **
3) Kind of a Gala/Grand Opening.
.
* My guess, without official notifications.
** Oh, didn't I mention the new Nighttime Safari ride?

Animation as in Animation Academy - the drawing class is done?!

At one time, there was supposed to be additional entertainment happening on Discovery Island in the space in front of the Tree of Life. I remember Orlando Theme Park News reporting that actual rehearsals were happening after park close. I am wondering if this is still going to happen? At the time, the rumor was that it was going to be done with Cirque du Soleil cast. It would be neat if they were still moving forward with this.

Yes has been done for a few months now.

Oh that's a shame! A lot of people really liked it, and while we didn't have a chance to do it this summer, we were really hoping to do it on our next trip. :( But who knows, maybe they'll bring it back?

There are no plans for it to come back right now. Star Wars launch Bay is likely going to be there for a couple years as Star Wars Construction goes on.

I do know AoA does drawing classes for kids in the lobby but I don't know if that is for resort guests only.
