January 2016 pre trip and trip reports.

We were looping feeding the squirrels peanuts from a ziploc bag. We decided to go over to the Poly. We parked at the marina. When we came back a squirrel had pulled the bag from the glove box onto the seat. He ate half the bag and left the shells all over the seat. I bet people got quite a kick out of that and maybe some good pics.

Thanks Melissa. Hoping the rain stops by 4am but I think it will be a warm one. Bert had a rough race today. Things just didn't go well. He has 8 weeks to figure it out and shake it off, we are doing the Myrtle Beach Half. Amazing up at 3 am and no idea what happened to my day.

We were back around 8:45 am. Did get the dogs for a nice long walk and talked to Mcflurry John. John so sorry about mallory's accident. We then had lunch at Olivia's and off to Publix. Chatted with our neighbor running her first marathon tomorrow. Had dinner at flying fish. I had the scallops and they were excellent, with risotto so had some carbs. Now off to bed I need some sleep.

It was a lot of fun spectating. My friend made some great signs we were holding.

Melissa might see you tomorrow we should be around and I am sure walking dogs slowly.

Frank and Denise, i am sure in those food pictures above on the grill that the sausages and bacon are all of the low fat variety? It all looks delicious!

Erry'thing tastes better in bacon drippings, Mother Runner! :rotfl2:

I wish my mother had cooked my dinner vegetables in bacon grease. Cauliflower, sweet potatoes, spinach, ...

Then I would have been a vegetarian!:dancer:

Recap time. I have no idea where I left off. I think I got you through Bert's race. He was miserable had a tough race, hurt a lot on Saturday and a little on Sunday. When we walked dogs we like to see who wins for last place. It is usually yeti but on Saturday it was possible Bert would win. The beginning of the walk Bert was winning but in the end yeti was last.

Sunday. It had stopped raining, yay, but it was humid and warm, very humid and very warm. Because of congestion at the start the first few miles were slow but I felt good. Then at the halfway point I was like give me a Donald medal and let's call this done. I saw Bert at mile 14. we talked and he walked with me a little. I told him I was slowing down and it would not be too good. I got to mile 20 and found some inner strength and pushed the last 10k. My time was not wanted I wanted but I finished strong. I saw Bert on the boardwalk about mile24.5. I told him I just wanted to finish the the MF. Get it done.

Came back and eventually walked dogs. I normally walk Mallory but had no energy for that. I took the slow dog. Who again in the beginning I was winning and could not keep up with yeti, but in the end he won for slowest. I hurt the most.

Went to Cali grill for celebratory dinner. Had an excellent server. It was a good experience. Granted I usually have a good one there but it was spot on last night. Then came back and I got ready for bed. I had planned to post but I laid in bed and did not have the strength to go get my ipday. I was asleep before 8.

Up early and I hurt. Going to be slow walking around the parks. Going to AK in the morning and then Epcot in the afternoon specifically La Cava.

Kris great job finding the strength to finish! Stinks you both seem to have a pretty rough one since you are both training so well. Hope the recovery goes well, enjoy some of the great eating Disney has to offer to help fuel the repairs! ;)

We changed our "Valentines" reservation on Monday the 15th to Morimotos after I showed her your posting. Since we arrive Valentines day I just did not want to chance dinner reservations if we hit any delays on arrival. 33 Days till our departure south, hoping to see more trip reports to keep the anticipation up.
