Budget cuts at Walt Disney World

I don't own stock in Disney. So as long as I can afford to go.!!! Get treated fairly well. Five day ticket cost like $70 a day. So I need my value to that prices. As long as there food and hotels are once again affordable. I will continue to go. But, But, keep in mine, when it becomes unaffordable. Or I get treated like dirt. I will find someplace else to go to. Disney can't kill the golden cow. That ALL OF US. I have my own problems to worry about and I think most of you all have problem of your own. I can't worry about Disneys problems. I go there to have a good time and forget my problems. Something for Disney to think about.

Just a clarification..... Fairy Godmother did not get cut. She had Suzy and Perla filling in while she was otherwise engaged for a short time. I think we have even heard reports that she is back now.
I'm still sad about the news that Marie no longer meets at WDW. I seriously hope Disney might make a future announcement of her returning to the France Pavilion in Epcot in the future hopefully along with her brothers.

I'm loving your optimism! Keep the happy thought. We're missing Marie too. It's where the Disney love all started for my daughter.

Marie is the main reason how I fell in love with Disney in the first place next to Pinocchio. I remember one of my first introductions to any Disney film was The Aristocats by an old Disney Storybook Collection made sometime in the late 90's before I ever seen any Disney movie. At the time my earliest exposure to anything Disney was the Disney Sing Along Songs which were shot at Disneyland circa 1990. She was also the first Disney character I actually loved the most.

When I was at Magic Kingdom on Tuesday I was standing outside the sweet shop on Main St. and people watching (a Disney must-do) and I saw, what looked to be, Marie in the center where the flag pole is, along with a bunch of other characters. That was around 10 a.m. so as of Tuesday I believe she is still there.

I remember a local CM told me she usually comes out around 10:30am during non-rainy days.

Her last day was reported to be this past week, maybe Wednesday.

Is the fiscal year the same at all the parks? I noticed the article mentioned that the cutbacks could end by the beginning of July if Shanghai does well. Would that be the same at WDW? After reading the article, I'm glad we're looking at switching to November from September. Sounds like it will be good to give things a little more time to settle down and hopefully return to "normal" (whatever that is anymore).

Well that does it for me. Even though its at DL I know its also bad at WDW. I just cancelled my May trip and all my ADRs. There are to many other places to vacation where Im not paying more and getting less because of idiot corporate decisons. I dont want to go and be frustrated with poor service and cutbakcs.

Fiscal years are generally company wide.
