I Can't Do That! I'd Be Too EmBEARassed! A Nov 2015 TR New PTR link 10/13!

The Osborne lights are so awesome! I think it was packed every night they were on this season. I went on the very last night they were on and that was very packed. There are so many details within the lights it's incredible.

Besides the lights I really enjoy the Christmas decor at DHS, I think next to MK, DHS has the most Christmas decor.

I like the Clara Cluck pin. The pictures of the lights were beautiful. I think when we are really tired, it is hard to contain the emotions, so tears flow more freely.

Your pics of the lights were amazing, I love all those little details and hidden gems...I sure am going to miss seeing those in December :( I really hope they will throw the cat up somewhere or incorporate some of the other favorites somehow. Sigh. Now I'm sad right along with you!!

I have that pressed penny too! I love that Jessica Rabbit pin too.

Sad tears are no fun but I can attest to the fact that they do happen at Disney! Happened to me too.

As always your pictures are beautiful!

First of all I was very tired. After all it was day 8 and I had been going non-stop all week. Plus I was missing both my Mom and Dad after talking to Mom earlier that night. And I was sad for Mo and her family since they had to end their trip early. Then on top of all that was the fact that I was seeing the Osborne Lights for the last time.

 :sad1:  :sad1:  :sad1:

I can totally understand!!

More great Osborne Lights pics! I love the one you got of the wreath with the little stuffed Jack Skellington in it!

Aww I don't blame you for being overwhelmed with sad feelings :( I'm sorry you were feeling down.

Thanks! I got some pretty good pictures that night despite feeling a bit sad.

Yeah, I'm sure they were packed with everyone wanting to say goodbye. I'm glad you got to experience them before they were gone.

I'm curious to see what the decorations will be like this year without the lights.

Thanks, I got some pretty good photos that night. I was definitely tired having been at the Christmas party the night before.

Thanks! There were so many details to find, I had a blast photographing them.

Sorry for making you sad! I'm not looking forward to a HS without them.

Awesome that you have the same pressed quarter! I like getting one from my resort and since I love Stitch, that one was perfect. I got the Jessica Rabbit for Jim because I thought he would like it. But he was indifferent so it ended up in my collection.

As always your pictures are beautiful!

Thanks! It was definitely a rough night.

On My Own Again Part 1

We have arrived at Saturday, November 21st, 2015, the final day of my 9 day trip. It went so fast and I was sad to be leaving early the next day. But I had a whole day ahead of me to look forward too. I was completely on my own now as all my friends had left. My original plans for the day had looked like this:

O’Hana Breakfast with Mo and the Gang
Animal Kingdom till lunch time
Back to the resort for a rest and packing
Hollywood Studios for one more walk through the lights
Magic Kingdom with FPs for Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear and Wishes

With the O’Hana breakfast being cancelled and Sci Fi lunch added, I decided to change up the schedule as follows:

Sleep in and then pack
Hollywood Studios for lunch
Animal Kingdom
Magic Kingdom with same FPs as above.

As you will notice I decided not to head back to HS that evening for another walk through the lights. Last days are sad enough as it is, I didn’t want to add additional sadness over the lights.

I ended up sleeping till 8 am. I woke up to find this nasty piece of mail on my door.

Boo! I would be catching the Un-Magical Express at 10:25 am the next morning. But the extra sleep helped a lot and I was ready to enjoy my last day.

I got ready, packed and then headed out of the room by 11:00 am and hopped on a bus to Hollywood Studios. Of course I made it to HS way earlier than I needed too for my 12:45 pm ADR so I stopped for some PP pictures by the Christmas tree.

The park was pretty crowded and most of the rides had extremely long lines.

I hadn’t met Pluto at HS yet so I headed that way to see if he was out. He was so I hopped in line. I checked my watch and knew that I would be cutting it very close to the time he would be switching out with Daisy. I ended up getting lucky and was the very last one to meet him.

I realized that I had not visited Tatooine Traders yet so I walked over that way.

The store is pretty small so it didn’t take me long to walk through and I was still way too early for my ADR. I thought about visiting the Muppets again as it was the only attraction without a huge line. But I had seen it twice already on this trip and didn’t need to see it again. So instead I decided to fulfill another Disney bucket list item. I got a temporary tattoo! The cart was right outside of Tatooine Traders so I didn’t have to go far. And of course you all know what character I got. It was merely a choice between a plain Pluto or Pluto dressed as a Pirate. I went with the plain one this time and will probably get the pirate one on a future trip.

He actually lasted about a week and more than one person thought it was a real one!

It still wasn’t time to check in yet so I found a seat on a wall across from Sci Fi and people watched for a while. At about 10 minutes till my ADR I checked in and found a seat in the lobby. I waited about 15 minutes and during that time, they must have turned away 10 different groups that did not have reservations.

I got to be a hitchhiker in the back of a three seater car.

I know that the restaurant looks empty there but all of those cars filled up right after I was seated. My favorite clip, The Cat Who Hated People came on right after I sat down.

I ordered my usual here which is a burger with just ketchup and fries.

For dessert, I got the Sci-Fi Candy Bar (White and Dark Chocolate Mousse layered with crispy pearls sandwiched between sponge cake and dipped in chocolate ganache).

Everything was very yummy and I ate every bite. I settled my Speeding Ticket and headed out.

It was right around 2 pm when I said my final goodbye to HS and exited. A bus to AK was waiting for me so it wasn’t long before I was entering my second park for the day. The only thing I really had in mind was a meet with Pluto so I could finish the “Four Parks/Four Plutos” quest for the trip (yes, I just made that up now and yes, I had done it already on a previous trip). I had plenty of time so I explored the Oasis for a bit before heading to Dinoland.

I also stopped along the way in front of the Tree of Life to get some PP pictures.

On My Own Again Part 2

I entered Dinoland and got in line for Pluto and Santa Goofy. There was a bit of a line so I took pictures as I waited.

As you can see by that last picture, the skies were a little ominous. It was supposed to rain that afternoon/evening but so far it had held off. I waited about 30 minutes and then I was meeting my favorite dog and his buddy.

I decided another ride on EE would be fun so I exited Dinoland. I thought it was pretty funny that they had a Santa hat on the big dinosaur.

The line for EE was pretty long but the single rider wasn’t bad at all so I used that one. I think I might have waited about 15 minutes at most.

Another spin through the safari sounded like a good idea next so I walked towards Africa. The safari was scheduled to close at 4:45 pm that night and I got in line right at 4:00 pm. The wait time said 60 minutes at that point but I figured they wouldn’t let me in line if it was that long. It did give me some time to take pictures.

The wait took closer to 30 minutes but it was a long 30 minutes because it was hot and stuffy in the line. I ended up in the first row behind the driver.

I will have to say this was not a very good safari. I think quite a few of the animals had already gone in for the night. Here’s the pictures I got from this ride through.

In this next one, there wasn’t a bush in front of the Eland, it actually had vines stuck on its horns.

Trying for an artsy shot.

I did get one treat on the safari, look who was up!

Sleeping in must have been nice!

Yay for meeting Pluto before he switched with Daisy! Love the tattoo you got too.

Sounds like a great lunch.

Cute pics with Goofy & Pluto at AK! And glad you had time to do both EE and the safari!

Sleeping in at Disney? I don't think I've ever done that lol. I'm sure it was nice though to relax a bit especially on the last day.

I'm glad you got Pluto before he left at DHS. And of course you got a Pluto tattoo I wouldn't expect anything else.

I've done Sci-Fi once and it was good nothing great but good. I do enjoy the atmosphere.

I just love Animal Kingdom it's my favorite park, the details are just fantastic. I'm glad you got to meet Pluto there too. I love Goofy in his Santa outfit.

EE is always fun no matter when you do it.

From what I've seen now with the nighttime safaris too it seems there is less animal activity later in the day and even in the night. One good thing about the safari though is you'll never have the same experience twice.

I just adore looking at pics where you meet Pluto :) You just light up and that's what Disney does to people!! It's that "thing" I try to explain to people, but just can't be explained. Thanks for sharing those moments!!!

What great pictures! you and pluto! just sums up how awesome Disney is!
oh i miss O'Hana breakfast.. Dinner.. well all of it!
WE will be going in 2017!!! if it kills me.

you got a lot done AGAIN!!

It was very nice to get a few extra hours of sleep that morning.

Both greats with Pluto were really nice that day.

I've always had good meals at Sci Fi.

I've learned the hard way that if I'm there for a longer time, sleeping in once in a while is a must. If not, I just end up crashing.

Yep, it had to be Pluto for the tattoo!

I really had fun at AK that day and was excited to see it at night. I got some good pictures of that in the next update.

I'm curious to try the night time Safari in December. I just wish they would update the hours so I know which days it will be open late!

Yep, Disney is awesome!

I miss all Disney food right now. I know you will make it back again!

It's amazing how much you can get done when you are by yourself.

Enjoying Animal Kingdom After Dark Part 1

It was right around 5 pm when I exited the Safari and I wanted to catch the last Lion King show at 6 pm. To kill some time, I headed towards the Pangani Forest Trail only to discover it was already closed for the night. So instead I decided to explore the new Zuri Sweet Shop and Harambe Market.

I figured that there had to be at least one Hidden Mickey in that area so I spent some time looking. There he is!

A wider shot so you can see a little better where he is.

Next I went into Zuri’s and took some pictures of the cases. You can tell it was a humid day by the condensation on the cases! Unfortunately I was still too full from lunch to get any of those sweets.

Some unique Christmas wreaths.

I headed down to the Lion King theater and got in line. I like lining up about ½ before the show starts so I can get a decent seat. Here was my view once we were let in.

And pictures from the show.

Enjoying Animal Kingdom After Dark Part 2

The show ended around 6:30 and AK closed at 7:00. I decided to try for one last ride on Dinosaur before leaving the park. I believe I checked the wait time when I was in that area earlier and it had been really long. I hustled my way over there but kept getting distracted by the beauty of the park after dark. This was my first time experiencing the park after sunset.

I made it to Dinosaur and it was a walk on. They weren’t even running the pre-show, just waving people through that room. For the ride photo I decided to do my best “Home Alone” impersonation.

Let’s take a closer look at that.

I apologize to the other people on the ride with me who now have to look at that every time they view their photo.

The park was now closed so I made my way out, continuing to take pictures along the way.

I stopped to get some PP pictures by the tree. So many ghost people!

More night photos.

I think your Dinosaur ride photo was cute. Love seeing Animal Kingdom at night. I have never seen it dark in person.

I love the animal themed caramel apples in zuri's.

FOTLK is the best, great pictures of the tumble monkeys!

I can't wait to see AK at night. It's my favorite park and it just looks awesome at night.

Great dinosaur photo! I am a big home alone fan.

WOW! It looks great!! I can't wait to experience AK after dark in December. I love all those wreaths, too--they are just SO good at theming in ways I would never dream of.

And seriously, Home Alone!? That's quality right there. Those people should be thanking you for that face!! :)
