Here are the Epcot Resort Area Counter Service Options (BW/YC/BC)

Great overview, Thanks! I still think lack of good CS is one of the major drawbacks of this area. There are some good choices here and there, but I would so much prefer something like the Contempo Cafe, Gasparilla's or Capt Cooks at the BC/YC. That would make the resort perfect in my opinion.

I agree. I am concerned about our upcoming trip that there is little QS for breakfast. I am used to a lot of options at other resorts. The kids not getting mickey waffles will be an issue! I have 2-3 breakfast ADRS scheduled though.

Breakfast question, for a family with a few small kids, staying at the Beach club, what is the best get in/out quickly breakfast choice for us that will fill the munchkins up, without an ADR, and offer a sit down area to eat it (prefer AC since we will be there in August!).

There is a quick service location with limited breakfast items in the Beach Club Marketplace. There are tables in chairs in several locations, including the Solarium. There is also a breakfast buffet next door at the Captain's Grille at the Yacht Club which you should be able to get in without an ADR.

There is an extensive thread on the YC/BC that has lots of info on both resorts: http://www.disboards.com/threads/di...rmation-questions-refurb-news-post-1.3400342/

Thanks we assumed you had to have ADR to the Captain's Grille. I saw the link to the resort, but it was a little hard to hard follow what is current, or an older post. For instance, does Hurricane Hannah's still serve breakfast? The link has it doing so in August, but I don't see it on Disney's website.

The Hurricane Hannah's breakfast is scheduled to end on 8/13, haven't heard if it will be extended. Captain's Grille is rarely sold out for breakfast or lunch. I would imagine on most days you could get a table without a reservation. Also, the Ale and Compass Lounge at the YC has limited breakfast items available.

The Picabu restaurant at the Dolphin also has quick service breakfast.

I love the Boardwalk and stay there 20 days a year but the lack of an acceptable quick service is frustrating. We generally drive to Coronado Springs, POR, or Wilderness Lodge for breakfast but would rather have something close.

You know there are quick service options at the Beach and Yacht Club? There's the Beach Club Marketplace which has quick service for breakfast and the Ale and Compass Lounge at the YC also has breakfast items. It might be quicker to walk over to either resort than to drive to another resort.

We normally stay at Pop but I keep trying to talk myself into paying the extra dough for a deluxe. BC and Poly are at the top of my list and the limited QS options at BC is what holds me back from making the leap. I like the QS variety at the Pop food court. Especially when on arrival day, we just need a quick lunch after traveling.

Bumping this thread.... I'm very excited to be staying at Yacht Club late sept/early oct, does anyone know what the latest is for quick service breakfast? I usually stay at pop so I'm used to that variety. Also where are the mug refill stations? :-)

The Yacht Club just opened a new quick service restaurant, The Market at Ale and Compass. There are limited breakfast items offered along with the drink stations. You can also refill your mugs at Beaches and Cream and also at the quick service location in the Beach Club.

I just googled Ale & Compass Menu and it looks like quite a variety, we are going for breakfast on our last day.
Is there anywhere I can find a menu for the Ale and Compass?

Threads like this are great, but they do have a lifespan as Disney is always changing for an array of business reasons. If you are still using this thread many years after the initial post you should use the resort and restaurant pages of the DIS site to confirm the information is still valid as things change. We are doing the Processional Breakfast offering this year at the Ale and Compass Restaurant which is table service. The Ale and Compass Lounge still exists, but today there is also a restaurant which servers breakfast, lunch and dinner.
