***Official November 2016 Thread***

I match DD and DS' outfits up depending where we go. Usually for DS it's a Disney shirt of some type with his shorts. DD usually does the tee with one of her skirts/skorts or a Disney sundress. I was shocked that she wore her Pocahontas dress the whole time at AK last year. Usually for MK she will wear a princess dress part of the day and then change or wear it for the BBB, then change, then put it back on for CRT dinner. I even got us matching shirts one trip! (They all had the sign Mickey Studios design but were different colors). DH gave me grief about that and I haven't been able to do it since!

Our reservation is at 5:10. I figure since our flight is so short (leave at noon, land at 2:30) that we won't feel too tired or rushed and it won't be too bad to get to dinner. I think we will get to the resort around 3:30, check into our room then head to the bus stop.
We only have a 2 hour flight too! I had read horror stories about ME taking an obscene amount of time to get to the resorts, but that seems to be more of an exception. I think we will get to our hotel at a similar time, to be able to drop our bags off, take a quick sit, and then head to dinner at Disney Springs.

For those with littles, are you planning on any cute disney-themed outfits? I'm not planning on dressing up my daughter in any all-out princess dresses (though, she is starting to get into princesses, so maybe that will change!), but I have already several cute outfits planned!

Baymax outfit - a red Baymax t-shirt from Etsy with a black, glitter skirt and a Baymax bow
Star Wars outfit - a black t-shirt with "The sass is strong with this one" on it (lol) plus jeans/shorts and a darth vadar bow
Minnie Mouse disneybound - a red dress with white polka dots (found on consignment!) plus a large headbow and yellow converse
Ariel outfit - Ariel t-shirt from Target with jeans/shorts and an ariel bow
AK outfit - tank top with minnie mouse outline in cheetah print with matching capri pants and headband
Maleficent outfit - "Rotten to the core" t-shirt with sparkly navy shorts and a maleficent bow

Once I discovered the insanely cute bows at Hot Topic, my bank account shrunk :p
Loved reading your outfit plans!! We 100% are planning outfits!! I am going to taking a few of the favorite all-out princess dresses for her/CRT BBB day, but mostly we are doing princess inspired. We have:
1. Shirts that say "Princess _____ (each girls name) and each letter is a block letter that looks like a disney princess
2. Shirt that says "Best Day Ever" surrounded by a lanterns and sun design, like from Tangled
3. "Just Keep Swimming" with Dory
4. "Powered by Pixie Dust" with Tinker Bell
5. An Anna and Elsa shirt--has their beautiful silhouettes in ice blue and deep purple
6. Cinderella's castle in all glitter with "2016" on the underneath the castle (this is on the back of the shirt), on the front is has the girls initials and a crown over the initials
7. Fair Isle Mickey Christmas shirts for MVMCP or our H&V Minnie's Holiday Dine Dinner--everyone in the family has one of these. Hoping for great picture with Santa Goofy!

I'm just slightly obsessed with matching my girls on the regular, so I have been been having way too much fun planning outfits for them! My older one is currently LOVING Baymax, so I love your Baymax plan! I'm still trying to figure out their AK day outfits!

Hi all!

I just linked over from another thread; I didn't realize there was a thread by trip month! YAY! This gives me another place to hang out and pass the time until we leave. I'll be sure to go back and read to catch up and "meet" everyone.

We're headed down on 11/11, staying at BCR until 11/15 and then we're moving off-site to WBC until we leave on 11/20. The first part of the trip will be me, DH, and younger 3 boys (oldest will be at college). Then my wonderful MIL will be joining us - thus the move to WBC (well, that and we like the additional space!).

Looking forward to hanging out, planning and getting excited with you all!

I'd love to hear what people's plans are for Thanksgiving week! It's our first time going over a holiday like this so I'm a little nervous about crowds but also really excited to be around all the xmas décor!

We arrive on Sunday Nov 20 at 6pm. My boyfriend is actually taking the red eye out the night before and will check us in to the Grand Floridian Villas and go to the store before picking us up! Not sure what we'll do for dinner that night but we will later hop on the monorail to MK to go to Guest Services to activate our APs so that we don't have to hassle with it the next morning.

Mon Nov 21 going to rope drop Epcot! Have a lunch ADR at Coral Reef.

Tues Nov 22 Currently we have an 8:15 BOG ADR but I'm sure they'll open MK at 8 like last year so we'll give up that ADR so that we can rope drop here as well. We have lunch ADRs for both Skipper Canteen and Tony's. Still need to make a decision there. Then we have dinner ADR at The Wave and the Contemporary.

Wed Nov 23 going to rope drop AK. Have a lunch ADR at Yak and Yeti.

Thur Nov 24 we have breakfast ADR at Grand Floridian Café. Hoping for warm weather so we can spend the day at the pool and then we have dinner ADR at Trail's End Restaurant at Fort Wilderness.

Fri Nov 25 we have breakfast ADR at 1900 Park Fare. Then we have a 1pm reservation for an airboat swamp tour. I'm so excited about this! Then we have a dinner ADR at Olivia's at Old Key West.

Saturday Nov 26 we will rope drop DHS. We have a lunch ADR at 50's Prime Time and a dessert ADR for Beaches & Cream later that night.

Sunday Nov 27 sadly we have a very early flight back home but we will leave with the excitement of returning next June!

Hi everyone! I just found out about this thread today. My daughter and I will be staying at POFQ November 11-15. This trip is a surprise for her Sweet 16th birthday. I plan on telling her about 2 weeks before our trip. I chose our resort and ADR's based on her wish list that she made for future trips. I'm going to have a Princess Tiana (my daughter LOVES Tiana) cake delivered to our resort on her birthday! :cake:

These are the plans I made for our trip:
Nov. 11: Check into POFQ, spend day at EPCOT, get a henna tattoo for my daughter in Morocco, Coral Reef for dinner

Nov. 12: Spending day at Magic Kingdom, Kona Cafe for dinner

Nov. 13 (Daughter's Sweet 16 :bday:): Having Tiana cake delivered to resort, spending day at Disney Springs, Boma (her favorite restaurant) for dinner, MVMCP in evening

Nov. 14: Spending day at Magic Kingdom, Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch, Wishes Dessert Party in evening

Nov. 15: Spending morning at resort &/or Disney Springs, flying home late afternoon

I am sooo excited about this trip! I can't wait to tell my daughter. It's really hard to keep this a secret from her. ::yes::

Hi there! We're going Thanksgiving week, arriving the 19th and leaving the 26th. We went this week last year and while I can't say it's not crowded, it wasn't as bad as we feared and we had a great time (other than me getting the stomach bug :crazy2:)

This is a somewhat tentative schedule as far as parks; I've been meaning to tweak it but am now caught up with our somewhat last minute trip in 3 weeks that we only planned at about 8 weeks out :goodvibes

11/19: arrive MCO 9:30 a.m. and head to resort (BCV) grab something to eat either eat Hurricane Hannah's or run into Epcot to Tangerine Café. Then head to MK. Dinner at Cape May Café.
11/20: sleep in a bit as we'll be up around 3:30a.m. the day before; head to HS by 10. Lunch at Mama Melrose. Epcot later on, dinner at Tokyo Dining )may change this).
11/21: PPO ADR at Garden Grill, stay at Epcot until we feel like leaving. Possibly go to another park or just swim if warm enough; dinner at Narcoossee's
11/22: RD HS: lunch over at Whispering Canyon Café. Then MK and dinner at BOG
11/23: sleep in a bit, most likely breakfast at Capt. Grill before AK. May go over to CSR to check in before AK.
11/24 (Thanksgiving): Splitsville when they open (10 I think) and spend some time in DS; we currently have 2 dinner reservations that I need to decide between-one at Trails End and one at Hollywood and Vine. Either way we'll hit HS afterwards
11/25: RD AK; then Epcot for the holiday storytellers. Dinner at Restaurant Marrakesh
11/26: MK, lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern. Catch ME approx. 6pm

The Christmas decorations are beautiful, you're going to love it!

We are also going Thanksgiving week! Group of 6 adults...plans are tentative, but this is what I've managed to scrape together so far.

Nov 21: Parents begin their drive down from Chicago area...about 17 hrs

Nov 22: My bf begins his drive from Nashville to WDW, the rest of us all work regular days, head to MKE for our nonstop SWA flight at 5:40pm...arriving at MCO around 905pm. Taking Magic Express to Old Key West where the other half of us whould already be waiting. With our late arrival we plan to just make dinner in the villa and check out the resort. Possibly go into DS.

Nov 23: Magic Kingdom day. We have 2 dining reservations for dinner currently, but I am still checking daily for 1900 Park Fare and then I can let go of either Crystal Palace or Narcoossee's.

Nov 24: Thanksgiving-we may hop around a bit this day, ultimately ending in or near Epcot so we can walk to dinner at Cape May Cafe.

Nov 25: Another day of hopping around, may spend some time doing a monorail crawl and checking out resort holiday decorations. Ultimately ending near Magic Kingdom where we are either having dinner at 1900 Park Fare or Narcoossee's (these are all dependent on how the 23rd works out)

Nov 26: Day out of the parks. We plan to head into Cocoa Beach for a bit, then to Universal City walk to check out the new Chocolate Emporium. Heading back to enjoy the resort and dinner at Olivia's Cafe

Nov 27: Probably will split the day between Epcot and HS...but again, we are really trying not to have everything set to a T and just roll with it. We will be having dinner at 'Ohana though.

Nov 28: Three of us flying have early 9:55am flights, the other half will begin their journeys home via car. Then we begin planning our Spring Break Caribbean cruise!

If anyone is holding onto a 1900 PF reservation for 6 on the 23rd...feel free to throw it my way! :)

I love seeing everyone's plans! My BFF and I will be there 11/2-11/8 for the Wine & Dine Half marathon weekend. We are running Lumiere's Challenge. We'll be rocking the royal room at Riverside for our second race weekend in a row!

11/2 - Arrive midday hopefully. (We still have to purchase flights and can hopefully coordinate our arrival times.) Check in at POR. Might grab lunch at Riverside Mill depending on when we arrive. Tentative plan is to head to MK after we're settled. Currently have dinner reservations at both Kona and Narcossee's, but obsessively checking for a Be Our Guest dinner. Plan is to watch the parade and Wishes. Go big or go home on your first day! (We'd change this if DAK's hours go beyond 6 to do the nighttime things there.)

11/3 - Breakfast at Riverside Mill then uber probably to the race Expo. Return to hotel to drop off goodies. Head to Epcot to eat our way around the world. Thinking we'll also make some FastPasses for Soarin or FEA. I'm leaning towards Soarin and doing FEA later in the week. Once we've had our fill of F&W we'll head back to the hotel to catch Yee Haw Bob at River Roost and a drink or snack if we're so inclined.

11/4 - Probably sleep in a bit! Plans for this day are up in the air. Might hit up DAK or might do a full day at DHS. Or some combination of the two. Dinner at Trattoria al Forno on the Boardwalk.

11/5 - Wine & Dine 10K. Parisian Breakfast at Chefs de France with friends. Back to resort to shower, change and rest up. Early "linner" at Via Napoli with our running group. Might hit up FEA whichever Tier 1 we didn't do prior to dinner.

11/6 - Wine & Dine Half Marathon. Back to resort, eat at Riverside Mill, shower, change, nap (hopefully!). Whenever we're ready to go we'll head out towards Epcot or DHS (could also do a Tier 1 at Epcot this day or some DHS rides depending on how the week pans out) and then over to the Beach Club for a celebratory dinner at Yachtsman's Steakhouse with our running group. Wine & Dine after party.

11/7 - Sleep in. Possibly massages at Senses at Saratoga which we have reservations for. Otherwise heading over to MK for the day with lunch at the Plaza. (We'll cancel our lunch if we do massages, hence why we'll either do Kona or Narcossee's as we are doing the dining plan and will have an extra credit to use.) Then MVMCP.

11/8 - Disney Springs for Starbucks and last minute shopping (and picking up a sandwich from Earl of Sandwich for the flight) before Tragical Express to the airport. (Pending on flight times.)

I am really itching to be back at Disney! (My BFF is going this week with her daughter so I think that's making it worse...and my family and I were just there in May!) Really looking forward to escaping to my happy place, seeing my BFF and running an inaugural race!

Hi there. I just have a question I'm hoping someone on here can answer...

I'm going to TDR late Jan, and I am wondering if they offer the parcel drop / hold service like they do at the news stand in Disneyland? I Intend to do a bit of shopping this time but as I am not staying on site, I am wondering if they have a service where they hold your purchases.

I use it all the time in DL and I am hoping they offer the same or similar service here.

Thanks so much for your help

Rohan

I will be there Thanksgiving week as well, 11/20-11/28. I've never been there on a holiday week so I am very reticent about the crowds.:crowded:. I've also never been there for any Christmas activities, like apparently Epcot has. Any recommendations? We have done MVMCP earlier in November before so don't want to do that again, as it would be a small fortune for my family.:faint:. The only ADR we didn't get at all was BOG, which now of course my kids say is at the top of their must do list. :confused3

Yay, welcome to the Thanksgiving club! We were down for NYE last year and really enjoyed watching the candlelight processional (starts the 25th) as well as the different storytellers for each country. Hope that helps! Good luck with finding a BOG ADR, I'm on the hunt for 1900 PF as thats the only one we didnt get.

We were able to get 1900 for breakfast and while we do have an 8:15 BOG, I'm guessing they'll change parks opening hrs to 8am which will cause me to cancel our BOG ressie. So I have been checking constantly for a lunch BOG or Crystal Palace.

We will do breakfast in our villa, so it is all dinners that we have ADRs for. 1900 seems to be so coveted and I'm kicking myself for not getting it right at our 180 day mark. Grrrr

We do most breakfasts in our villa too but we are staying for the first time in a studio at GFV! So it'll be a little tight with 5 so I'm sure eating out will be more enjoyable. Hahaha We are also rope drop people so I'm assuming we'll be eating on the go in the mornings. We decided not to do parks on Thanksgiving and the Friday after so we schedules 1900 and Grand Floridian Café.
