Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Throwback Thursday, indeed...

For those who are not familiar, the fantasy closet is the legendary utopia where guests who are not ready to leave the Beach & Yacht Club can go to live out their days in vacation luxury. Problem is, MM took the keys, and then misplaced the map!

I did enjoy the trip down memory lane where:

The Be Our Guest list was kept in different posts by others

The Noodle Swap was still in full swing

and we enjoyed posts by the second funniest person ever to post to this thread, before she buzzed off into the sunset.

Secret Closet Resort & Spa

Now, back to our regularly scheduled shenanigans!

:rotfl2:

The great thing about the closet is we are going to rebuild it and the Boardwalk is going to pay for it!!!

GOOD NEWS! We have reserved a day bed for you in the Beach Club Fantasy Closet Suite. This imaginary suite enables those of us that never wish to leave to stay on in perpetuity. There you will find a never ending Sunken Treasure fountain, a dole whip machine, and assorted celebrities like Johnny Depp and Ryan Reynolds, partially clothed and waiting to refresh your drink. Our activities chairperson has planned field trips to special resort places like exit door 1501, the laundry room and the B.C. Marketplace. Once a day, whether we need it or not, a trip or 5 around the lazy river will occur. This activity is a thinly veiled attempt to find talent for the Stormalong Bay, Olympic, Synchronized Pool Tube Team. All guests who are not too drunk, minimally coordinated, and able to remain seated in a pool tube for at least 1 minute will be considered for membership.

So even though you have the sads now that your trip is over, your trip doesn't have to be over.

PS. Matthew McConaughey is in the dog house. He knows why...

Well...that sounds wonderful!! Just like reliving my college dorms years...all those girls and only one bathroom, strange men showing up for visits, and weird Physical Education classes for credit!
(FYI--my college PE credits were figure skating and badminton!)

Sadly, my stay in the 2 bedroom BC suite came to an end and we are back home.

I seriously considered staying and forcing them to evict me. I could have happily lived there for a few months.
Would you mind to post your room #, pics or description of views from balconies, & # & types of balconies please? We have first stay at BC in 2-bedroom suite planned for Sep. Thanks so much.

I posted pics a few pages back. We were in room 1115, first floor, so only patios, not balconies. It was the farthest wing from lobby, but the closest to Epcot! The suite had
the main areas facing the laundry building/quiet pool. The master bedroom windows faced the path to Epcot.

If you come in the secret entrance, you are facing the doors to 1115, at the end of the short hall.

I sent additional pics to Dee for her to post, too.

I need some advice from those who bring/keep food in the room. This is a very different trip for me. We will not be using the DDP and we are planning on few (possibly only 2) TS meals durign our 6 day trip. Usually my schedule is full of Character meals and TS, but on this trip we will have 2 people in our party who had weight loss surgery and it wouldn't make financial sense to go to a lot of buffets or pre fixed price meals. We will most likely use a car service with an included grocery stop to get from MCO to the YC (otherwise I'll order through Garden Grocer). I was thinking of grabbing easy breakfast foods (cereal, milk, granola bars, bagels, fresh fruit), bread, deli meats & cheese, a case of water (maybe 2), and alcohol. We will be buying most of our food at CS locations where the adults can order kids meals as desired, but I'm just looking for other suggestions close to the BC/YC for meals that aren't adult & child priced specific and ideal for sharing, as well as meals for in the room that have worked for you in the past. I know the fridge isn't huge, so I want to make the most of what we have.

Thanks in advance :)

In terms of grocery deliveries, I can't recommend Dizzy Dolphin highly enough. They will get you ANYTHING you want, including standard grocery items, custom made gift baskets, bakery cakes and doughnuts, ANY kind of alcohol, small appliances (no kidding, one of their pictures on Facebook had a coffeemaker in it!), and they'll go wherever you direct them to shop. I think their prices are better than Garden Grocer, and you absolutely cannot beat their customer service. I've already got a date marked on my calendar to order from them for our June trip. :teeth:

Good Morning! I was wondering if anyone knows if the Club Level CM's are still able to reserve a 4th fastpass for you after you've used your first three? I happened across another thread that mentioned guests could text the CMs and request one. Keeping my fingers crossed it's still available, it would be awesome! Thanks for any info!

Edit: I just noticed that the post I read this in was from 2015! So I'm guessing it's probably outdated!

I'm going to go out on a limb & say out dated. I stayed club level twice last year. There was never any mention of text us & we'll get you a 4th FP.

I've been reading the pages here and maybe I missed it ..... Anyway, I'm staying at the YC in mid March and trying to figure out what floors they have refurbished and what floor they are working on. Does anyone have that information?

I don't think that we have had anyone come back from the YC who has reported that information. We depend on faithful spies for all the good info on this thread. ;)

I suggest that you ask them when you check in. They might be working in a new area when you get there. I would avoid rooms that are above, below or adjacent to the construction area. And then let us know what you find out. :)

We stayed 9/23-10/4 at AKL and they texted us everyday asking how things were going, if they could do anything for us and also a few times threw in an extra fast pass. We received a thank you and can't wait to see you again text when we got home. So I'd say, yes.

Wow! 10 days in the VP suite!!! Congrats!! Keep going, you'll be at 10 posts soon!! Can't wait to see the pictures! :goodvibes
It was a complete surprise. As I don't think anyone ever actually "pays" for that room, or can't imagine the cost. My husband said the photos are on one of his drives, so i'll post them by tomorrow. We were treated so well, champagne, truffles, chocolates, a solid white chocolate 6" Mickey, fruit basket, personalized photo. And every day the doorbell would ring :) and a cm with a card or a treat from Mickey and Minnie being delivered. It was absolutely surreal.
