It Takes Two, Baby; a 2017 Flower and Garden dining report *NEW dining report!*

So, I finally came back to your report to get all caught up...and then couldn't remember where I had left off. Turns out I only read the first two pages :sad2:.

I don't have a ton of time right now, but I did read page 3 :)
I felt guilty saying this out loud but the La Vie En Rose has replaced the GG slush as my fave

Now I really need to get to Flower and Garden so I can try that drink!

that makes us thirsty we both got a drink: me, the Schofferhofer Hefeweizen

Yum! I'm not a beer person at all, but I did enjoy that one! We actually found it at a beer store this weekend, so obviously there is now some sitting in our fridge :)

We only waited about 13 minutes but that's 12 minutes too long for that ride!

Haha, agree! I do like that ride though, but no thanks to waiting for it!

We were unsure what type of meat this was and were happy to find out Kefta obviously stands for "petit beef burgers"

Hahaha, this made me laugh!

Next was Steve's turn for food and since we had unfinished business in Italy, he chose to stop at Primavera Kitchen and get both the Antipasto Misto and the Meatball Parmigiana, with some Italian grass thrown on top for good measure

The meatballs look good, but I didn't get a chance to try those.

I'm ready for the hate, but..............neither of us liked this at all.

It didn't appeal to me either, but I tried because it got so many good reviews, and I also wasn't a fan.

Kathy and I fully embraced the snooze this trip especially yesterday by the time we left Jock Hangers we were ready for bed. Good thing since ME picked us up at 7:30 this morning.
Glad you and Steve liked the meatballs that was one of our favorites.
Put me in the weirdo category because I don't like coconut either :crazy2:
That's a great picture of you

Ok, I'm slowly getting caught up! I've now read to the end of page 5 :)

(Steve had actually walked down there earlier since he always gets up around 6. I don't)

Gross - 6am while on vacation? No thanks! I don't even wake up that early on work days.

I did take a picture of the back of Steve's coffee cup since I didn't remember the cups saying this on our trip last Nov:

These are so cute!

The little boy belonging to the family in front of us was full on french kissing the railing while we were waiting :crazy2: :crazy2: :faint:

Oh yum!

Then at some point I discovered where this was for the first time:

Hmm, that's something I still have not found...

Steve ordered Our Tavern Keeper's Favorite: Pot Roast served with Mashed Potatoes and Garden Vegetables:

This looks so good! Liberty Tree Tavern is on our list for our next trip, I'm looking forward to it!

Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake: Vanilla Cake with Gooey Toffee filling, Caramel Sauce and Vanilla Ice Cream

Yum! And this is the reason why LTT is on our list! I must try this dessert!

End of page 8 now! I should be all caught up by today!

We got just a bit fancied up since we were going to a signature; I know it's not necessary since they don't really hold to the dress policy but since I never have to dress up for anything at home, we like to dress a bit nicer for the signatures most of the time.

I'm the same! I used to dress up for work a few years ago, now if I show up in a dress everyone is questioning why haha. So now I only wear skinny jeans and band tshirts to work, so I enjoy dressing up if we are going out to eat or going to a concert or something.

Steve's is the Snow Leopard Salvation-Snow Leopard Vodka, Belle de Brillet Pear Liqueur, Mint, Lime Juice, Ginger Beer

This sounds amazing!

I LOVED the pomegranate focaccia bread

I'm really intrigued by this bread....

The 4 cheeses included a Blue, a Goat, Feta, and a Midnight Blue Cheese. Accompaments were house made raisins, Cardamom Marcona Almonds, Manjar Blanco, and Cape Gooseberry

Luke and I talked about booking a Tiffins ROL Dining Package during our week at Disney alone, but I was worried there might not be enough on the menu to interest me. When I looked at the appetizers, the only one that I found somewhat appealing was the cheese plate - but now that you listed the types of cheeses - nope! I wouldn't eat any of those 4 haha. Also for the accompaniments, I don't like raisins and I'm not supposed to eat very many nuts/almonds. So, I would basically just eat those little jelly squares haha

I've seen rave reviews of this on here and Steve felt the same; he absolutely loved it. As a non-seafood eater and someone who was once tricked into eating squid blended into a chocolate milkshake, I looked at this and went :crazy2:

Nope. Nope. Nope.

Wagyu Striploin and Braised Short Rib: with Rainbow Carrots, Roasted Peruvian Purple Potatoes, Chimichurri

When we were talking about eating at Tiffins, this was the entree I thought appealed to me the most, but Luke told me I just simply wasn't allowed to ask for Wagyu beef cooked well done because he would be disappointed haha.

he went with the Sorbet tasting, which right now is listed on the menu as being served with Kaffir Lime Syrup, Passion Fruit Curd, and crunchy Vanilla Croutons. However that night it was served with the croutons, passion fruit curd and a toasted coconut bar. The sorbet flavors were Dragon fruit (pink) and Passion fruit (yellow):

This looks good though!

South American Chocolate Ganache: served with Caramelized Bananas and Cocoa Nib Tuile:

And I think this looks even better!

I was questioning the furry thing that looked a little like brown lint on my plate; we couldn't figure out what it was. It was soft, like lint..........

so when Mark came back over I asked what it was. Chocolate cake! Duh! They bake the cake, crumble it and stick it on there!
So I ate it.
It was chocolate cake :thumbsup2

Hahahah!:rotfl:

IMG_5569_zps8mhjepqb.jpg

This is cool! I need to remember to look for those things on our next trip!

I'm looking forward to seeing ROL, even if the reviews are a little mixed. The colours look pretty!

The pretty light blue one is my drink, the Moscato Colada: Skyy Infusions Moscato Grape Vodka and Bols Blue Curacao blended with Pina Colada mix.
Steve had the Black Cherry Lemonade: Grey Goose Cherry Noir Vodka, Odwalla Lemonade, fresh Lime Juice, and Grenadine topped with Sprite.

Yum! These both sound so good! I think I might have to plan on doing quite a bit of drinking on our next trip (which will probably be needed, traveling with that many family members haha).

I do love me some breakfast. Steve not as much: I'm ready to eat the minute I wake up while Steve waits a few hours, if he eats breakfast at all.

Steve is like me! I need to be awake for awhile before eating, and I'm just not a huge fan of breakfast foods in general.

Yes boys and girls, the Wave has bottomless Mimosas!!! Whoo, and the heavens opened up!!! This one was much better than the one I had at LTT becase it was minus any pulp.

What?! This changes things...

I was wondering where this was! Good to know!

Hurray! I did it, I'm all caught up on this report!

Ah, my beautiful School Bread. If you've never had this you are depriving yourself, unless like @ArielSRL you hate coconut (she's weird lol). The cardamom cream inside is heavenly and I love the mix of toasted and untoasted coconut on top.

So what exactly does the cream inside taste like? I love coconut, but I'm not a fan of donuts with a cream inside, so I've always been a little weary of trying School Bread.

This is such a nice picture of you!!

Sangria for me, look at that fruit!

Wow, they were quite generous with that fruit!

To Gaston's we went!
Have you tried the cinnamon rolls there? I have! Again and again and again!

I'm not a HUGE cinnamon roll fan, but I think I do need to try one from here...

Curryworst with Paprika Chips- Roasted Bratwurst with Curry Ketchup and Paprika-spiced Chips:

On the weekend we made french fries and I poured paprika all over them - it's something I picked up when I was actually in Germany back in 2005! It's so good!

The paprika chips are the same ones you can get all the time in the Germany pavilion and come with the Bratwurst there.

I had no idea you could buy paprika chips at the German pavilion, although it does make sense! Now I have something else to add to my list of must-have's in Epcot!

Warm Chocolate Cake with Bourbon-Salted Caramel Sauce and Spiced Pecans:

This sounds good! Too bad it was a bit disappointing though.

Since we were in Norway and hadn't found the egg yet that's what we did next. As with many others, the Norway egg was inside:
I was trying to spot the Easter eggs while walking through Epcot but never could find them. I think I needed to do than casually look around as we walked past the food booths. ;)

I've never been tempted to try the School bread. There just seems to be so many other good things I'd rather have. :)

One of those was the mushroom soup from Artist Point that they serve in Territory Lounge, and that's what I was jonesing for on this night. I didn't even plan on looking at the menu when our server handed it to us, until he told us we could order anything on the menu that didn't come from the AP kitchen because they were closed.
I'm surprised at how early they closed the Artist Point kitchen. That seems awfully early for a signature restaurant. That was nice of them to bring you the bread. We had that at Artist Point and it was very good.

We had hoped to eat dinner at Territory Lounge on either our March or May trip, but never got over there. I used to love the edamame appetizer at TL and then they stopped serving it. :( Since Geyser Point does serve edamame, it kind of made it easy to eat there instead - that and the view. ;)

Tuesday morning we were up and out the door bright and early. Since it was our last day we wanted some more time at the F&G festival but I needed a MK fix before leaving.
We were at MK that morning, too. We didn't have any fp's for MK that day, so we hit it early and got a lot done. It was a beautiful morning. :)

It had been awhile since we rode around the Mississippi so I took a few shots and I think it's really cute, so I'd like to share them:
I remember the burning house. I hadn't realized that they turned the fire off 17 years ago. We rode this during our May trip. It is a pleasant ride and there is a lot to look at.

I wasn't done sampling the booths yet and there was one in particular I'd read lots about but hadn't tried, so we went over towards the good ol' U.S. of A to visit:
The one time we ate there we were disappointed, so we haven't been back again.

I just read your whole report. I think you've convinced me to drop one of my Whispering Canyon breakfast ADRS in September and go for The Wave instead. I've never been over to the Contemporary, and it's so close to MK that we could just hop on the monorail and head over there for a little while that morning. I'm always looking for excuses to go to the MK!

I've never been to the Flower and Garden Festival that I can recall, but I enjoyed seeing all the eggs. The food booths had great choices!

The picture looks kind of sad but I wasn't sad. I was happy, very happy to be eating all this sugar in the morning. Steve doesn't love sugar as much as I do but he was hungry so he chose the chocolate croissant which he'd never had there before and he liked it better than the cinnamon roll.
What is sad is that poor little croissant. It looks so small and sad next to the ginormous cinnamon roll.

See all the holes in the cabin? Some of you who are as young as I am may remember when this used to burn. You know, as in, "The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire! We don't need no water let the................" :D I can remember riding the boat with my grandmother and thinking the cabin on fire looked so incredibly cool! I thought it was still that way and was disappointed it's not; as soon as we got home I googled to find out what the deal was and learned this:
We haven't been on the boat in forever and I completely forgot about the burning cabin. Having total childhood flashbacks now to my parents dragging us on the boat and the "fire" being the only cool thing we saw. Probably also why we've never dragged Casey on there or had her endure hall of presidents yet, I try and learn from the transgressions of my parents :-)

I hadn't actually found all the eggs: I was missing a couple stupid ones I was having trouble finding. But Steve found out you could cheat by going online and getting a picture of the completed map :rolleyes1 I didn't wanna do it guys, I didn't! But my patience was running out and I needed my prize:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: No matter how you got it, I'm sure you earned it one way or anther :-)

I know it doesn't look all that appetizing from the picture, especially the dinky little sausages which, let's face it, are never too exciting to see :D However this ended up being one of my favorite dishes from the festival. The sausage had good flavor but the two stars were the spicy curry ketchup and, as always, the paprika chips. My only complaint is that I didn't get another one! Not that this matters since the festival is over, but FYI for anyone planning to go next year, the curry ketchup is on the spicy side but definitely not SPICY. The paprika chips are the same ones you can get all the time in the Germany pavilion and come with the Bratwurst there.
I'm of the mindset that sausage really never looks good, but dang does it taste wonderful. Glad this one didn't disappoint!!! Sounds awesome with the currywurst and spicy ketchup combo. Funny when I was sending you schofferhoffer pictures last weekend, we were eating currywurst at the same time :-)

I'm ready for the hate, but..............neither of us liked this at all. We found the beef a tad tough-maybe it was supposed to be that way?? And while I normally like anything considered cheese this didn't do it for me. Again, it wasn't something I initially thought I would be crazy about but kind of hoped I would like since everyone else does and I like to be a follower.
Sorry this was a disappointment for you all. We loved, loved, loved it last year but to each their own. We'll just have to stick to following each other on the alcohol front :P

YES!!!!!! :cloud9: These are amazing! And I never share mine
When it's the 4 of us we each get our own :rolleyes1

Love your reviews - and have to give you a compliment - you look so young. Whatever you're using on your face - keep doing it!
I'm really glad you enjoy my reviews, it's nice to know my writing isn't terrible lol! And a great big :thanks: and a  for that compliment. Now for a shameless plug since my mom sells it - I've used Mary Kay products for years :D

So, I finally came back to your report to get all caught up.
Thank you for coming back! It's hard when real life gets in the way and planning a wedding on top of that.....you're excused lol!

Yum! I'm not a beer person at all, but I did enjoy that one! We actually found it at a beer store this weekend, so obviously there is now some sitting in our fridge :)
I saw that in your PTR :thumbsup2

It didn't appeal to me either, but I tried because it got so many good reviews, and I also wasn't a fan.
I'm glad we weren't the only ones. Definitely worth trying things that people rave about here, I've found many things to love that way. I guess that can't all be hits!

Put me in the weirdo category because I don't like coconut either :crazy2:
OK, you are there

That's a great picture of you
Thank you so much! I hate most pictures of me, but aside from my legs this one isn't that bad!

Gross - 6am while on vacation? No thanks! I don't even wake up that early on work days.
I DETEST getting up early. Unfortunately I have to be up just before 6am during the week to get Ricky up for school. Other than that, I won't get up early unless I'm in ::MickeyMo::MinnieMo 6am though?? Uh-uh.
These are so cute!
Love the cup quotes! We saw a couple different quotes when we were down there last week.

Hmm, that's something I still have not found...
I meant to try finding it again last week, just to prove I really knew were I'd found it the last time. I forgot about it, so let's hope I can easily locate it in August! I do know it's on the way to Merida's M&G if you go behind the castle..........

Yum! And this is the reason why LTT is on our list! I must try this dessert!
I think we're going back in August, don't even care if the boys like it or not!!!

It took me awhile to decide to try it, because nothing on the menu really appealed to me. I WANTED to like it, I really did. Mainly because the restaurant itself looked so interesting. I finally decided I could do the Wagyu and I'm glad I did! But yeah, since they normally serve it rare I don't even know if they'd agree to cook it well done. Actually they probably would since they're usually so accommodating, just not sure how it would taste! As for the cheese I wonder if they change the types out once in awhile?

When we were talking about eating at Tiffins, this was the entree I thought appealed to me the most, but Luke told me I just simply wasn't allowed to ask for Wagyu beef cooked well done because he would be disappointed haha.

This is cool! I need to remember to look for those things on our next trip!
I seem to always get my name up on EE and even RnRC. We've yet to have our town show up on HM or our names on IASW, so I'm still waiting for them.

Hurray! I did it, I'm all caught up on this report!
Woo-hoo! Boy am I proud of you!!!

So what exactly does the cream inside taste like? I love coconut, but I'm not a fan of donuts with a cream inside, so I've always been a little weary of trying School Bread.
At first it reminded me of Bavarian Cream, which I love, but not quite as sweet. Then I found out it has cardamom in it which explained that. So that's my description: Bavarian Cream but not a sweet. Same color! Honestly I don't think there's that much cream, definitely not as much as you get in donuts. Unless your Canadian donuts have more cream than our American donuts :P

This is such a nice picture of you!!
Thank you my friend!

I had no idea you could buy paprika chips at the German pavilion, although it does make sense! Now I have something else to add to my list of must-have's in Epcot!
I can't remember the name of the little window offhand and didn't look it up, but if you go to the back of the pavilion as if you were checking in to Beirgarten there's a QS window that sells beer, pretzels, and Bratwurst. The chips come with the Bratwurst.

I was trying to spot the Easter eggs while walking through Epcot but never could find them. I think I needed to do than casually look around as we walked past the food booths. ;)
Yes, I don't think I actually saw any from just walking by the booths. Even the couple that were up closer to the lagoon were difficult for us to spot unless we were seriously looking for them, and it's not like they're small! I love the whole "game" though, because it gives kids something extra to do while allowing their parents to enjoy WS. And gives overgrown children like myself something else fun to do

I'm surprised at how early they closed the Artist Point kitchen. That seems awfully early for a signature restaurant. That was nice of them to bring you the bread. We had that at Artist Point and it was very good.
I was extremely surprised also; I will not make that mistake next time!

I remember the burning house. I hadn't realized that they turned the fire off 17 years ago. We rode this during our May trip. It is a pleasant ride and there is a lot to look at.
I had no idea it was turned off so long ago either, I swore we saw it once with the boys but their first trip was 2005. I think it's relaxing and the scenery is so pretty; I also don't think many people realize there's things to see while you ride.

The one time we ate there we were disappointed, so we haven't been back again.
That makes 3 of us who weren't impressed; @Raeven also wasn't a fan. Hopefully we don't get kicked out of the Dis club!

I just read your whole report
Well 1. I'm impressed, 2. Thank you! and 3. :welcome:

I think you've convinced me to drop one of my Whispering Canyon breakfast ADRS in September and go for The Wave instead. I've never been over to the Contemporary, and it's so close to MK that we could just hop on the monorail and head over there for a little while that morning. I'm always looking for excuses to go to the MK!
We haven't done breakfast at WCC although I've thought about it, and since I love WL so much I assume eventually we will - I've heard good things :) However I don't think you can go wrong with switching to the Wave!

I've never been to the Flower and Garden Festival that I can recall, but I enjoyed seeing all the eggs. The food booths had great choices!
If you can manage a March-May trip I highly suggest trying to go one of these years! It's a beautiful time of year and Epcot is gorgeous during the festival. I know it's not a time everyone can get away, for us it's hard getting down there during F&W which STINKS :headache:

We haven't been on the boat in forever and I completely forgot about the burning cabin. Having total childhood flashbacks now to my parents dragging us on the boat and the "fire" being the only cool thing we saw.
That's all I remember from when I was a kid, and I think the only reason I remember it at all is because I rode with my grandmother and we were very close.
I try and learn from the transgressions of my parents :-)
Which is exactly why I don't make my kids eat Peas! Peas are nasty, thanks mom and dad!

No matter how you got it, I'm sure you earned it one way or anther :-)
I have ways to get what I want :tiptoe:

Funny when I was sending you schofferhoffer pictures last weekend, we were eating currywurst at the same time :-)
They go to-ge-ther like rama-lama-lama, ka dinga-da-dinga-dong!

Sorry this was a disappointment for you all. We loved, loved, loved it last year but to each their own. We'll just have to stick to following each other on the alcohol front :P
I have no doubt that differences aside, should we ever hang out we'd have no trouble finding both food and drink we can agree on :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Once I got to the room I decided I needed a nap. Yup. One too many bottomless Mimosa's, maybe???
I can relate to this! So this is why I have to make sure I keep a good balance of drinking! And I am a tad worried I may get carried away....lol.

Ah, my beautiful School Bread. If you've never had this you are depriving yourself, unless like @ArielSRL you hate coconut (she's weird lol).
When I saw the photo, I was goign to reply to remind you that not everyone is "depriving" themselves...lol...but I see you remembered how I feel about it. HAHA

That's the Schofferhoffer pink grapefruit beer from Germany; quenched my thirst perfectly.
I definitely need to try one while there.

I didn't take another picture but if you scroll up a bit, you can see what they looked like ;)
:rotfl2:

Sangria for me, look at that fruit!
Nice! I have 6 drinks highlighted on their menu that I wouldn't mind trying...:rolleyes1

The butter as you see had sea salt on it which I LOVE and the bread was soft, warm, fluffy whole grain.
Yummy! I love bread...with soft cheese is my fave but with butter will do as well!

Once again we took the boat over because when you're at the WL, why wouldn't you??
Exactly!

We started with one of my faves:

See, soul sisters. Besides ToT, this is my next fave ride in all of WDW.

Have you tried the cinnamon rolls there? I have! Again and again and again!

Put me in an even weirder category, because I don't like cinnamon either!

he chose the chocolate croissant which he'd never had there before and he liked it better than the cinnamon roll.
More up my alley!

I love it but I am totally laughing at you cheating!

Serg must have known I was a fan the first time because he got me in on the act:

So fun!

Yes boys and girls, the Wave has bottomless Mimosas!!! Whoo, and the heavens opened up!!! This one was much better than the one I had at LTT becase it was minus any pulp.
I hate pulp so I would have LOVED this!

I had never even seen grits until my mom moved to Ga. in the early 90's and my tastebuds had already developed, so don't "tsk, tsk" me!! No on the grits.
I have never liked grits until about 2 years ago. One day I decided to try them, doctored up with butter, salt and pepper of course. I LOVE them now! No breakfast at Cracker Barrel is complete without them. Also on of the Dr's I work with made us breakfast at Christmas and she had a special recipe for Cheesy Grits. They didn't even taste like grits and very good!

We had an ADR for Citricos, which is Steve's favorite signature and one I enjoy also. However we wanted to spend more time in Epcot and were still feeling not completely hungry, so we made the rebel choice to skip our fancy dinner. AND, we didn't call and cancel, because Steve was going to do it when we got back to the lodge but then my stepson called and we both forgot.
AND......as has happened on previous occasions when we've skipped a reservation and not cancelled, we were never charged for it.
Rebels!
Ahhh I love sangrias!

Have you tried the cinnamon rolls there? I have! Again and again and again!
I am usually never hungry when I am around Gaston's Tavern. I plan on being hungry and making a special trip this year!

Those chips look yummy!

I think Steve and my DS are so alike besides that they are not huge breakfast eater when they wake up, DS ate about 4~5 dishes of those shrimp from the festival booth. :teeth:

The paprika chips do look really yummy. Hopefully they offer that next year's F&G so I could try it.

I can relate to this! So this is why I have to make sure I keep a good balance of drinking! And I am a tad worried I may get carried away....lol.
It's so easy to get carried away! I swear I want one of those "drinking around the world" shirts but I think I'll feel like a loser wearing it............

When I saw the photo, I was goign to reply to remind you that not everyone is "depriving" themselves...lol...but I see you remembered how I feel about it. HAHA
I got your coconut hating back :thumbsup2

I definitely need to try one while there.
Please do! I'm so glad I did, I stayed away from it for so long since I hate grapefruit.

See, soul sisters. Besides ToT, this is my next fave ride in all of WDW.

Put me in an even weirder category, because I don't like cinnamon either!
 Actually I'm not a huge cinnamon fan and don't each much of it. Snickerdoodle cookies? Blech. But cinnamon ROLLS are another story and these are heaven :cloud9:

I hate pulp so I would have LOVED this!
Funny, I went to my cousins for breakfast Sunday and the OJ she used to make Mimosas had pulp. So every time I took a sip I felt I needed to lip my lips in case there was pulp on them :crazy2: Hate that!

One day I decided to try them, doctored up with butter, salt and pepper of course.
That's how my mom eats them :) She wasn't a fan until she moved to Georgia when I was in college!

I am usually never hungry when I am around Gaston's Tavern. I plan on being hungry and making a special trip this year!
Go to MK without eating breakfast first, then you'll be hungry!

The paprika chips do look really yummy. Hopefully they offer that next year's F&G so I could try it.
Do you like bratwurst, or does anyone in your family? Because you can get the chips year round at the little QS-like window in Germany over by Biergarten! They're served with bratwurst.

Don't Blame SMEE For My Bad Food Choices
Last I left you, we had failed to feel the burnt-ends hash love so were leaving the American pavilion with heads hung in shame.

When what to my wondering eyes should appear?? Not a Disney quote I know, but hey I do love Santa!
Except this was better than Santa because I hit the character training jackpot again as the big barn-like doors opened to the left of the Liberty Inn:

Not Capt Jack Sparrow but in a pinch I guess he'll do??

Meeting Rabbit was awesome because not only have I never met him, I've never even SEEN him doing a meet.
Rafiki was there which is usual, as was Mickey and Baloo. Here's the best though-keep my shirt in mind:

OMG I was like a kid who just opened up an Atari on their birthday! Ahem, I mean, an Iphone on their birthday :o

Excuse my face, that's supposed to be my "How cool are we" face but instead it looks like my "I couldn't be any LESS cool" face.
Timing couldn't have been more perfect! For those of you who are jealous that I hit that training on almost every trip, I'll tell you now that we did not come across it last week. And we slow-walked by the gates a number of times, so I'll have to try again in August!
Since our last snack was a bust we went in search of something else and somehow ended up in the U.K. with no food but listening to British Invasion. I also found the egg while Steve grabbed a Guinness from R&C even though technically I didn't need to:

Then I took a walk through the tea garden sponsored by Twinings. I have a few pictures but I'll just post this one because it's supposedly a new flavor and it sounds interesting to me:

I've been searching for this around me but have yet to find it.
After the band we did indeed go for another snack. It was pretty freakin' hot and we hadn't had any ice cream this trip so we ended up at L'Artisan des Glaces in France. The next picture is horrible but it's mine. I swear I wrote down what I had but I guess I didn't and for the life of me I can only remember on flavor, which was the coconut white chocolate:

Whatever else I got it wasn't good. I just checked the current online menu and nothing sticks out so I'm thinking it's not on there now and I do know they change some flavors occasionally, however the coconut white chocolate is delicious. I've had it before and I'll have it again!

Steve's above. Again I know he had a scoop of the coconut white chocolate but I'm not sure about the other scoop. I THINK it's the Cinnamon with Caramelized Apple and Crumble Crunch. Whatever is was he enjoyed both flavors.

Since I wasn't thrilled with the burnt ends hash and now I wasn't happy with my ice cream choice, I had no choice but to get one final La Vien Rose:

THIS I was happy with!
It was getting close to our time to go catch ME but I was still a little hungry. I went back and forth between getting one final item from the booth in Germany or not, so we headed that way. There were also 2 eggs I hadn't legally found :D so I figured what the heck, I'd try to find them. One was at the Outpost:

Hi Chip!
Funny it was both Chipmunks I couldn't find. Germany was the hardest and had caused me to utter quite a few curse words earlier in the trip so I was determined to find it before we left. Jackpot!

Way up high inside one of the stores.
Here's where I made the dumbest mistake of the trip, and since we were leaving I couldn't even fix said mistake until a couple weeks ago. Rather than hit the German booth that was steps away from me, or even go to the little QS window back by Biergarten (I really need to look up the name of that place) I decide to get this:

It wasn't bad, and it's definitely huge and more than enough to fill you up if you're feelin' a big hungry or even feelin' hangry. It's just not special. It's a pretzel, and as much as I love the German pavilion I have to say this pretzel was a bit of a disappointment. What did I expect? I don't know. A special German type of pretzel? It's no different than the pretzel I get sometimes when I'm done shopping at BJ's and I'm too hungry (read: hangry) to wait until I get home to eat. I ate a good amount of it because we weren't going to be eating until we were at the airport and I wasn't sure exactly what that would be, but my face looked like this while I ate it :sad2: Not the way I wanted to end the trip food-wise, with so many yummy snacks surrounding me! On our way out of WS I asked Steve if he wanted to grab one more shrimp skewer and he said no; I can't help but think he did it out of sympathy for my flawed final food choice.

ME was picking us up at 5:30 so around 4:30 we were at the Epcot bus stop to go back to the WL. I didn't mind waiting in the lobby for that little bit since the lobby is so gorgeous! On the way up to the lobby I noticed this for the first time during the trip; I'm sure it was there the whole time but apparently I'd been clueless:

Renee @ArielSRL will be checking in there tomorrow, can't wait to hear how much she LOVES it :goodvibes

Our wait for and ride on ME was uneventful. Our flight was supposed to leave at 8:30 but got delayed until 10 so that sucked, especially since my stepson was watching the boys and had planned on going home that night. He still did, but we didn't get home until 1:30 in the morning rather than just before midnight. We ate dinner at Macaroni Grill. I hadn't eaten at one of those since college. I should have taken pictures but failed, we had a basic pizza and beer and it was pretty good. As usual when I know exactly when we're coming back I was sad the trip was ending but not sad enough to ; we had another awesome adults only trip in the books with mostly hit as far As the food, and we were both excited that we'd be experiencing the Flower and Garden festival again in May!
