I am not really a runner more of a fast walker. I signed up for princess half marathon in Feb. I definitely move faster or slower depending on what I am listening to.
I have an eclectic music collection rock country pop blues reggae not so much rap or headbanger music. So what are you listening to when you run? Are there any specific songs that really motivate you and keep you running? Greatly appreciated.

A few from my running playlist :)

Honey I'm good-Andy Grammer
Gold-Britt Nicole
Sweet Serendipity- Lee DeWyze
I Don't Want This Night to End- Luke Bryan
On Top of The World- Imagine Dragons
Disturbia- Rihanna

I find music can get me out of sync when running so I prefer podcasts (especially DISUnplugged). I find I can really focus on what they are talking about and enjoy the show.

If I do listen to music I like to listen to a full album from one of my favourite crusty rock gods - Neil Young is top of the list, followed by Pink Floyd then The Who. Very little else is listened to, and nothing since 1979!

I like to start a big race with the instrumental version of Sigur Ros Hoppipolla.

For when it gets a bit tough Muse's Invincible.

And of a sprint to the finish - Motorhead - Ace of Spades

I like Britt Nicole. She is very upbeat.

Most of my runs are on the treadmill. If I listen to music my mind starts wandering and I start doing laundry, paying bills, sorting closets, chasing squirrels....you get the picture. Netflix on the iPad is my friend. I'm on Season 5 of West Wing

I usually have a light mix of Backstreet Boys, Sugar Ray, and Trick Daddy.

My playlist is called "run baby run" and there's a lot of 2000's alternative rock/pop-punk from my high school days + some hamilton + what else has a good beat, here's a sampling:

Check Yes Juliet - We The Kings (this is where "run baby run" is from - "run baby run/don't ever look back/they'll tear us apart/if you give them the chance."

The Story Of Us - Taylor Swift
Barcelona - Ed Sheeran
Give A Little - Hanson
Tennis Court - Lorde
The Future Freaks Me Out - Motion City Soundtrack
Guns and Ships - Hamilton Cast
That Girl - All Time Low

I’ll listen to podcasts for my long, easy paced runs since I can focus more on the words. But for any tempo or interval runs, I’ll stick with my workout playlist consisting of mostly pop and rock hits.
