Babnanas 11: "Boo-boo's are OUT, Toast is IN….

Sorry for everyone having weather woes.... :guilty: I guess the only consolation would be that, eventually, it'll change!!

I have spent most of today tackling some final boxes in the utility room, which will double as my crafting area. I've got over 100 photos from the WDW trip last October that need to be scrap-booked! After that, I need to do one for our anniversary trip to DLR. So it's high time to make the space in there.

In other news, I got new chickens last weekend. Three of them; only 8 weeks old right now but will hopefully start laying this fall. I've missed having them! Such funny creatures.

.

And I'm sitting here thankful that today's high is only supposed to be 85 F. Can y'all send some of that cool weather my way until they get our upstairs A/C fixed?

Kimmar, cudos on the renovations!

You can have my cold weather. It barely got to the 60's today. Last night, we were in the low 40's.

Ooh! Baby chickens! Pictures, please.

Send it! :flower1:

....here too....and summer is only 2 weeks away....
Direct those fans south, please! :worship:

Still waiting on an appointment with the HVAC folks. They're swamped. :headache: At least it's cooler downstairs than upstairs. And since I work from home, I can dress as I please. :rolleyes1

....mom is visiting from Puerto Rico [for her annual follow-up visit at Deborah Hospital] and, since she's been here, it's done nothing but rain, accompanied by the chilly temperatures. Her return flight is tomorrow - it'll warm up DRASTICALLY within 24 hours.....something like an average of 58 degrees to almost 90!

What on earth did you mother do to annoy Mother Nature????

(Hope the hospital visit/check up went well).

....I was talking to one of the 6th grade science teachers, basically complaining about the foul weather....she's noticed a trend as a slight shift in the weather pattern - it seems during that the last 2 or 3 Septembers, we've been experiencing August weather. This non-stop rain is typically during April, not May/June....

Sounds like the same for us here. March is usually my favourite time of year. But the last 2 - 3 years, it's been too darn hot. The lovely balmy autumn days are showing up in April now.

This year, it just went suddenly cold.

.....well, May is typically mine. It's late spring and the days are getting longer so we can enjoy the daylight more. However, with the dreary, wet, gray weather, we haven't really gotten to experience beautiful sunsets.....or even a bright sunny day, for that matter!

It's the reverse here. I'm counting down to June 21 and then the days will get longer again.

At least we're getting some lovely sunrises.
