Happy Father's Day to all the fathers that are here with us, and those that we have lost.

This will be the first holiday for us without my dad. I am sure that all holidays will be especially difficult without him physically being here with us. But for us, Easter was our last holiday with him, and one that we will cherish in a special way.

So todays question is-
Is there a certain holiday that is special for you, and your dad?

Condolences on your loss. My father and I don't have a certain holiday that is specifically special to us. However, we tend to make the most of each of them whether it be traveling or spending time with family on the holidays.

I am sorry to read of your loss, Patsy. I did not know.

My dad has been gone for awhile, but we have remembered him in a special way as a store in Cape May honors veterans by flying their casket flag, and allowing family members to fold the flag at the end of the day.

We participated in this ceremony with our Houston family on June 8th.

Ummm. Its green and roundish. lol Because we buy it for the two of us, we tend to get just buy pre-cut packages. Never had yellow watermelon

I look for a yellowish spot on the watermelon. And i tried yellow watermelon before, and it was good.

I knock on it, there's a sound I like. Am not always happy with the watermelon, though.

Nothing says summer to me like a good bar-b-que chicken, potato salad, corn. Yum
