DIS Exclusive Backstage Magic Adventure 12/2 - 12/7/2018 - SOLD OUT!

Is there a way to get on the wait list for this. We have been on vacation and just found out about this.

At this time, there is not a waitlist.

I have found that maintaining a waitlist doesn't usually work for this situation.

If a spot opens, most folks on the list have made other plans or forgotten about the trip.

If there is a cancellation, I will announce this on the Podcast and post that info here and on Twitter.

Thanks,
Kevin

This is going to be Troy and Lisa's first adventure and what better way than with the Dis.
Thank you Kevin.

What better way to vacation than with the Dis.

I was able to waitlist this adventure with Disney. The representative I spoke with said that they waitlist for a lot of their more popular adventures.

Hi Ron,

The December 2nd 2018 DIS Exclusive Backstage Magic Adventure has sold out.

We have a signed contract with ABD that all of the space on this trip is ours and ours alone.

ABD can not sell or waitlist space on this departure because of our contract.

Everything booked for this departure would need to go through me and because it's a fully contracted group, ABD Vacationistas can not book this. I must go through a special department.

As explained above, I am not accepting a waitlist for this Adventure.

If space becomes available, I will announce it here and on the Podcast.

Thanks,
Kevin

Thanks Kevin for the info. When I went to the ABD website to look at other ABD adventures it showed that you could call to waitlist this adventure. I called and was told no problem she could waitlist it for me.

Reading Kevin's email from this morning got me thinking. I'm wondering if there are any solo female adventurers signed up who would be interested in sharing a room?

We are booking 2 pre-nights at the Loews. We find that flying to the west coast from FL leaves us a bit jet lagged. So we fly out earlier and just do some touristy things in the general area. The LA Farmers Market is a favorite. Perhaps a drive out to one of the beaches. Or shopping.

Having done BSM a few times we have found that the trip has a lot of early mornings and late evenings. Those of us that need their beauty sleep (and I need a lot!) will not want to begin the Sunday evening welcome dinner tired.

We'll definitely spend a couple of pre nights somewhere. I'd like to see the Farmers Market, so we may choose to stay 1 or 2 pre nights in Hollywood. But then I'd like to go to the Napa Rose and that might be more convenient during pre days rather than post. So, I'll probably be indecisive for several months of where to spend the pre nights.

If you plan on Napa Rose you might consider their Chef's Counter. Its a truly amazing experience. Val & I are fortunate to have done it twice.

Hi everyone!

I am one of the newbie's to ABD and the Podcast ABD trip. My goddaughter is my traveling buddy and has been since she was born. After attending DISapalazooa at Diagonal alley and now the 20th Anniversary party, she can't wait for the ABD. She will be 24 at the time of the trip. Are there any other young adults going?
Since we are east coasters as well, I was thinking one pre and 1 post night. I don't know what we will do on those days yet except the post day spend some more time in Disneyland.
Looking forward to getting to know each of you through the thread prior to going. Now for some Disney dreaming...

@LuvEeyore :welcome:

Glad to have you and your goddaughter along on this adventure. Although Val & I are older, retired folks, we are still young at heart. I'm sure we will enjoy meeting you and her.

Your plan for one pre-night is good, especially coming from the east coast. I'd try to catch as early a flight as I could even at that. Given the time change you would most likely get to the Hollywood hotel around noon giving you some time to explore the area and (likely) fall asleep early that night.

For the post-night, staying at the Grand Californian can maximize your ABD value because the trip includes park admission for the Friday even though BSM actually ends with breakfast that morning. You may need to think long and hard about also going to the parks on the Saturday though. The park admission with the package can't be upgraded so you'd be forced to buy a one-day ticket if you wanted to go to DL/DCA on the Saturday. IMHO, its not worth it since you'll have lots of park time as part of BSM. So, you could just plan on a later flight home that day which would get you back to the east coast in the evening.
