So after scrolling thru some of this thread, I pulled the trigger and we are staying BC for our November trip. Super excited, now lots to research. POR is home but we seem to be on a mission to try a lot of the resorts. Excited to snag a Beaches and Cream reservation already this morning.
How crazy does the resort get over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend? I had honestly swore I would never go this time of year, but as the saying goes never say never.
We have booked at Beach Club hotel for April 24th-May 1st (saw someone else on here is staying the same dates!) whilst we are waiting for our DVC request to be filled. So either way, we're going! Just waiting to see if it will be the hotel or villa.
So excited!!!!! First trip!
So excited to be staying BC in March!
We are now in the process of planning ADRs! Does anybody have an estimate for how long it takes to walk from BC to Rose & Crown?
Thanks for the help!
We get to take a last minute trip! Yay! Now, I know the YC Cl just recently refurbished their rooms. How are the conditions of the BC Cl rooms? Are the bfst/apps/drink offerings the same between the two? I'm trying to make a booking decision and appreciate any help. Thanks!
ETA: I posted on the Cl thread too
1 more sleep (well technically 1/2 sleep, as we fly out super early) until BC CL Deluxe!!
I wonder if YC is going to start supplying step stools for those of us who are vertically challenged?? lolI hope that all works out for your family. Depending on your husband's height, you may want to request an accessible room, which will have beds at normal height. The new beds in the non-accessible rooms are at a higher than normal height, which may/may not be the easiest for your husband. Only the accessible rooms at the YC have normal height beds.
Several YC CMs mentioned that there had been complaints about the beds being too high for "vertically challenged" guests and children. When some guests said they climbed into bed, they were not kidding.I wonder if YC is going to start supplying step stools for those of us who are vertically challenged?? lol

The resort should not be noticeably more crowded than most times of the year, but the parks will be another story. But you gotta do what you gotta do!
We are fulling expecting craziness at the parks and that's one of the reasons that we booked BC. We are planning rope drop and then heading out when it gets bad to hang out at SAB.
Can't wait to explore the resort and be back at my happy place (for the fourth of 5 times this year )

Yes, microwaves can be requested on an as-available basis, from Mousekeeping. Otherwise, there is a microwave in the Market at Ale and Compass.I'm sure this is has been answered, but can you still request a microwave in your room at YC? Thinking about adding some frozen breakfast sandwiches to our GG order
Okay. Great. Thank you.Yes, microwaves can be requested on an as-available basis, from Mousekeeping. Otherwise, there is a microwave in the Market at Ale and Compass.
I have seem coolers for sale occasionally at the BC Marketplace, but I'm sorry, I can't quote the cost. I would think it would be minimal, though. Generally speaking, I find the prices at the Marketplace to run 3-4x the cost of what a retailer, such as Target or Walmart, charges.Getting ready to place my GG order. Does anyone know if they sell styrofoam coolers at either BC Marketplace or YC Market, and if so, the approximate cost?

Oh, I forgot about that. Thank you!Remember though that if you are staying in a normal room (not Villa) the mini-fridge doesn't have a freezer...
Can't speak to the price of bananas and I know that the price of a case of water is contained many times within this thread (fairly reasonable as I recall), but I can say that 3-4 years ago we ran out of our beer and it was our last day. We purchased a six pack of Bud Light--long pool day--at Marketplace and it was $36! Better to go to the resort prepared than purchase that type of item from Disney AND within the Marketplace or other retail venues within the resorts, the selection is minimal.
