Disney in October or November

I was originally going to go at the end of September, but I don't think my mom and I will be able to make it by then. Can anybody tell me if they think October or early November is a better time to go? I wouldn't do late November as it's just way too crowded. We're not really looking to do anything special like the parades, we just want to enjoy the normal things around the parks.

Either would probably be about the same. It'll be a bit cooler than September, but it will be a bit more crowded than Sept.

If you want to stay onsite, you may want to go ahead and make reservations as rooms onsite are getting scarce.

Just remember that you have party nights at MK 4 out of 7 nights, so do some planning.

Depends what type of season you're looking for. Oct will have Halloween stuff, and immediately thereafter / early Nov. will staret th transformation to XMas stuff. Weather is a degree or 2 warmer in Oct. than Nov. And crowds might be slightly better in OCT..HTH

I'm going the 1st weekend of November and had a really tough time finding hotels that weren't Deluxe. Even with the holiday offer, the cheapest resort was Saratoga Springs ($978 for 2 nights). I opted for the Dolphin this time around. Not sure how October dates look resort-wise...

Are you talking this year? Or next year?

Availability is limited with all the promos and such for this year.

Fall is the new peak season. Last year, and likely this, it is busier than summer. Expect crowds.

Honestly, I'd choose third week of Nov over end of Oct/beginning of November. You have Halloween parties, the Wine and Dine races, the end of the Food & Wine festival...it's a absolute madhoise those few weeks.

I think I'd go for early November, most of October is still pretty warm for me.

Agree that either could be busy.

I haven't been in November but I love October. It's still hot, but cools down at night so it can be a nice break.

Food and Wine will draw crowds though. Epcot can FEEL really busy at night around WS.

Keep in mind the first week in November has the Wine & Dine marathon............the last week(s) of the Food & Wine festival..........and Jersey Week (teachers convention in NJ so many visit from the Garden State :) )

If you're looking to travel in 2017..........gonna be tough as others have said............most resorts look to be full up this year.

Fall in the new to go to time. My first trip was in the Fall. Boy have things changed.

Thanks for reminding me about the races. I'd seen it on the calender and forgot about it. I wish there weren't so many Halloween and Christmas parties. I will think about this some more, but not for too long because I can see everybody is right about rooms getting scarce.
