Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Hi all.
Not been on this thread since last year when we planned and had a fantastic stay at AKL club.
We are staying WL this year(not club) but free dining.
I am pondering booking a night at the poly when the kids are in lilo club.
The only rooms available are 1 bed suit- club in the tonga building.
We would arrive at the poly around 4pm and check in.
Can we use the club facilities the next day after check out? We have dinner at Ohana booked at 5 on check out day so I would imagine a lazy morning/ afternoon by the pool. I would want to pop to club in the afternoon?
Any views on tonga building? From reading it looks like the lounge is in another building.

I have always wanted to stay at the poly- it's expensive for one night but sure it would be fab!!

Hi there! How familiar / up to speed are you on Tonga compared to 'standard' Poly CL?

Standard Poly CL rooms and the CL lounge are located in the Hawaii building - this is what most folks are referring to when they think of Poly CL.

Tonga is a seperate, much smaller longhouse that has a handful of suites, including the 1BR you see on Disney's website. All of the suites in Tonga are considered "CL" as well. Tonga has a small lounge with minimal offerings, but Tonga guests: 1) also have access to the Hawaii building for the lounge there and 2) can order from a private dining/room service menu free of charge. Tonga is a somewhat unusual/special setup in the CL world.

As a CL guest, you may use all CL amenities until midnight of your check-out day.... so yes, you can still use both lounges all day after you check-out.

A lazy morning/Poly pool day sounds like a fun way to spend the day! The only thing to maybe think about is your showering needs before your Ohana dinner. The main Poly pool has showers in the restrooms underneath the pool, but they are pretty dank/dark/wet and not the most pleasant place if you have heavy evening prep needs. The Hawaii CL lounge has a nice-sized restroom on the third floor that is an option for a quick change of clothes as well if needed (but no showers).

Hope that helps! Don't hesitate to ask questions if any of the above doesn't make sense.

Ps.
Just read a review which suggest that guest at tonga house are able to order a limited hot food menu from room service at no cost?
Is this correct currently?
Thanks all

That's awesome!! So happy to hear how much you enjoy it! I had heard about AKL CL and DVC awhile ago. From what I understand there are only a handful of rooms and unless you own, it's nearly impossible to get at 7 months! I wish they'd do the same with the other CL's or do a separate lounge! I'd definitely use more points, so worth it! LOL

So true! We would have bought CCV if they would have turned some of those rooms into CL. Yes, AKV are still VERY difficult to get at 11 months out (there's only 5 rooms total). We've had good luck with waitlisting so don't discount that. Or just buy a resale AKV contract:rolleyes1

Thank you so much really helpful response. Sounds like a good option!

Ok, now I'm regretting my choice of words above. I want you to know I truly was kidding and didn't mean anything negative by it, just a dumb statement. I'm sorry! :worship:

I tell you what though.... the Poly Bungalows have never really appealed to me all that much, but for whatever reason those WL cabins really do! They look so cozy! I haven't followed it that closely... do you know if the points per night are in the same range as the Bungalows?

I noticed nobody responded to your question yet, and it doesn't seem fair to leave you hanging on this one!

The cabins are somewhat cheaper in point cost than the bungalows, but not by much. They average about 160 points per night. I agree, though- they look fabulous! Would love to try them out sometime. For free, of course. LOL

So honestly, I wouldn't pay the very expensive 1 BR rate, for one night, even, if I was just going to lounge by the pool the next day and pop into the lounge in the afternoon. I really do not see the value. But that's me.

If you really want to be at Poly, why not call a TA or two and see if they can find you a std or GV regular room for one night? I have done this before and gotten rooms when the hotel otherwise showed no availability. You could eat at Kona for breakfast and buy your own drinks and snacks and probably still have lots of $$ left over.

I dont know about the GF but I can tell you we weren't given one at BC in august. They told us the lounge was open if we want a drink

They normally give you a sparkling strawberry champagne at the YC/BC, at least they have the 3 times we have stayed there. Maybe they have removed it to save money.

Does the GF CL give you a welcome drink at check in? I know the YC/BC does.

They didn't at SL in April. Although in fairness, they checked us in via ipad in the main lobby... we didn't have a "sit down at the CL desk" check-in at SL so there was never really an opportunity for them to offer one.

We didn't get a 'welcome drink' in late August (at Beach Club). And I asked (because I always do things like that). They said their only offerings were available in the lounge.

Thanks at the moment there are no standard rooms showing as available but I will keep looking

Poly TPV Room in Hawaii 3rd Floor - incredible view and everything we had hoped for. Room has been very comfortable air conditioning wise, turn down service so far has been nightly, Concierge Team Members David (who is also a dead ringer of Sal from impractical jokers), Chris, Edward and a couple of others whose names I must remember to write down have been so friendly and sweet! We rented a cabana for 3 of our days and yesterday was day 1 and we loved the convenience of it so much I took a daytime nap in it . Arrived around midnight 9/15 and here until 9/26 and I can already see leaving will be a problem not for us but them as they try and drag us out of here. :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

We were not offered one at our RPC stay in November nor or SL stay in May. The RPC stay was an upgrade, so I was totally lost in the moment and didn't even notice. At SL we were checked in in the main building and escorted to SL and "dropped of", telling us refreshments were available in the lounge if we wanted something.

That's why I said to call a TA (preferably one who specializes in Disney). In the past, mine has been able to get me a standard or GV room when none are showing on the Disney website.
