My first world rant - you're welcome to share yours as well

I've gone to my local Stop & Shop twice now in the last 2 weeks looking for a box of the instant oatmeal I like to have for breakfast. It's Quaker Oats Maple and Brown Sugar....but they don't have it!! They have other flavors and they used to have the Maple and Brown Sugar one....so What The Heck happened? Why can't I find my favorite oatmeal anymore? I'm going to try another store next week :sad2:

This happens to me constantly at our small grocery store. I find a variety of something I like, then after a while, they will have all the other varieties, but not the particular one I want. Seems to be too often to be a coincidence so I assume they are tracking me:rotfl:

I order Starbucks on my mobile app. They used to fix your drink and sit it on the pick up counter. Now they keep it behind the counter, so I have to wait until the barista is not busy making a drink and ask for my mobile order. Defeats the purpose, I think. I used to just run in, pick up and run out, in seconds! I don't know, maybe they were having a problem with theft??

I now pay $8.95 for grocery delivery because grocery stores here just outside of Philadelphia are EXTREMELY packed on weekends. This is to be expected anywhere, but they'll only be a few registers open with a very small number of inept cashiers so each person in front of you takes 15-20 minutes or longer. If I try and go real early like 5 or 6am (which I don't really have a problem with) theirs maybe one person on register or you have to try and track someone down to check you out. I have tried at least a dozen stores before I gave in and paid for delivery.

I worked as a cashier at a grocery in high school and every register would be open all weekend and we WORKED.

I use Peapod through Giant and with different promotions offered and the time saved, it pays for itself!

I just got back from the grocery store. 15 minutes to check out. I think they can't hire enough people to work. There are signs all over that businesses are hiring. We need to hire where I work too, and the pickings are very slim.

A full on grocery trip is 2 hours round trip for me. My time is worth more than $8.95 to me. I'd gladly pay for delivery if it were an option!

Where did all the high school students go??

I say a workplace trade is in order! I think everyone in my office would kill for a lunch from Panera! Maybe even Jason's and Jimmy John's... but we don't have those places here so I can't say for certain! :rotfl:

Believe me you would not kill for Jimmy Johns - they opened and closed her in 6 months. How do justify making people pay $2 for pickle on a sandwich!!!

HUGE display in the middle of the aisle at Walmart. All the college kids have bought their stuff and this is clearance. Trash cans and laundry baskets. All $3. Hundreds of laundry BAskets. All alike . Huge signs$3

Check my receipt when I got home. All four rang up 6.88

I returned them. Didn't even argue about the price.

They are incredibly popular around me. There are too many to count TBH.
My daughter stopped getting Jimmy John's. Three times in a row (I kid you not), she got JJ's, and was sick with intestinal issues. She thought it was their mayo, so got sub without mayo, and still got sick. So then decided maybe they don't keep their deli meat cold enough. Anyways, she gave up on them, and doesn't eat their anymore.

I don't blame her. It's been nearly 7 years since I've had a chimichanga and got food poisoning bad enough to warrant a several hour stay in the ER.

So I am about to move. Decide I will do a yard sale.

I put pics and nfo about said sale.

It's pretty specific, no early birds, cash only, no holds.

5 minutes after posting: do you still have such and such can I buy it, can I come early.

I am thankful for getting such quick response don't get me wrong, but people not comprehend?

Am I going on to be on the news tomorrow cause people want to fight over a cozy coupe? Stay tuned... Lol

Sorry your pla

Sorry your plans got messed up. I hope you are able to relax and enjoy each other's company. :flower3: And if you ever find yourself back in Belize, those cave are AWESOME!

Thanks! I appreciate it! I'm trying to get over it. I realize it's just a vacation and so many people have had their whole lives disrupted and this is just a little blip and I'm lucky to go on vacation. However, I work very hard to be able to vacation. We've been planning and saving for a year and a half and it's going to take me a couple days. We just found out Wednesday what our new itinerary was.

Where were you intending to go and where are you ending up now, if you don't mind me asking. :sail:
