Hello!!

I have a 'dumb' question. Since Disney doesn't ship Magic Bands to Canada for whatever reason....are we able to bring our bands back home on the flight? I am planning on buying a Mickey one and don't really relish having to toss it away along with the one you get at check in.

Thank you so much for your replies. ::MickeyMo

They can't ship them across the border but you are free to bring them back with you.

Yes, no problem bringing home. Disney just doesn’t want to pay international shipping. It’s not a problem stopping at desk when you arrive to pick them up.

LOL its not like they are banned from Canada.
Disney does not ship internationally as it would cost them a pretty penny.
Yes of course you can take your magic bands home with you whether they are the complimentary ones or one you purchase.
Carry on or checked luggage or even still on your wrist is fine.

Not only can you bring them home but you can take them back when you go the next time and they will still work! The long range battery will eventually stop working for things like the ride pictures but any of the tap features will still function. I have a wide selection of colours that i take whenever we go -- even if you stay off-site they will still be linked to your account and will work to enter the parks & use for FP+. My most recent one is hanging in front of me for a little pick-me up :D

You guys are awesome!! thank you, and here I thought I was crazy for wanting to buy one even though I'm getting one for free! :mickeyjum

I have another question (not related to the Magic Bands though) I'm not staying at the Contemporary but I'd like to visit it, I know I'll be able to get into the lobby but am I also able to use their lounges/bars/cafe's? (I know Chef Mickey's is a reservation resturant but I'd like to go to the Cove or Outer Rim or the Wave if possible.

YES, 1000X yes!!! you can go to any and all of the resorts -- poke around, have drink, grab a snack (or a whole meal) people watch, have a blast! We love resort hopping and always work it into our plans. Our traditional last day is breakfast in one of the monorail resorts (used to be Kona but we tried the Wave and OMG, seriously love their sweet potato pancakes!) then take the loop around. We stop in each resort for one last look in each gift shop -- they all have different selections that are particular to their theme. You can do that at any of the resorts and if you're on the dining plan you can use credits there as well. We usually spend about 2 - 3 hours at AKL --- love to chat with the CM out by the Savannah, grab a snack from Mara and sit in the rocking chairs. You are able to use any of the transportation options throughout the entire park, visit any resort and eat at any restaurant, food court & lounge (except the couple that are within the gates of the pools at a few of the deluxe resorts) Have a blast!
