Will this work? BOG split ADRs

We have APs and pay OOP. We have a PPO ADR for BOG right now.

Because the food is so expensive we usually split up the orders and order (1) entree per adult therefore resulting in 2 of the pastries plates. In the past we've ordered when we got there so we can do this. But the line is always long and we fill rushed. Wanting to order ahead of time.

I have an extra MDE set up for a couple of other ADRs we had to get multiples of (big family trip at Christmas). I was thinking I could modify my party of 5 at BOG to 3. Then go in on the other for a party of 2.

I was just worried about getting in with the breakfast line. Don't they normally scan MB's? My extra MDE doesn't have any tickets associated with it. Will this be a problem or can I just give them my name?

So if you preorder you only get one pastry plate per table? We'll have 4 Disney adults and a child. One pastry plate won't be enough lol

I don't think ADR's are tied to tickets. So when you check in one person would say they are checking in for your party of 3 and another person would say they are checking in for your party of 2. Now to actually split up that reservation I'm not sure how that will work. I know I haven't been able to modify mine to lower the amount of people and I think if I cancelled it, it would only show up as a party of 4 again and not two parties of 2 like I need.

My hang up is that due to it being a ppo adr, they scan your magic band. They scan it when you get in the breakfast line, if i remember correctly, and then again once you break off from the hub there are usually CMs with ipads. I can't remember if they scan there. I think they do.

Prob is if they scan adr will come up with party of 3. And i wont have another band to scan for the party of 2.

On your second ADR not attached to tickets, couldn't you add the names of the guests who would be on it? Or change your current reservation lead to someone besides you. I've never tried this, but read it works. You can then make a second reservation at the same time since your name isn't on the first one.

It will have names, but no MB connected. It may not matter but i wasn't sure, since you have to scan your band to get in for a ppo adr.

I think as long as the peoples names are connected to the reservation they should be fine. Maybe screenshot the reservation in MDE to show you really do have a ppo adr to let you in?

You shouldn't need two ADRs to get a second pastry plate. We got one without asking on our last visit as a party of five. I don't remember now if we all ordered our own meals or not, but I would think it is based on the number on the ADR rather than the number of meals ordered... Does anyone know for sure?

That's good to know. Maybe I'll just ask, but we'll only be ordering 2 meals. Wonder if that will be a problem.

They bring a pastry plate for every four meals. So, if you order five meals, you’ll get two pastry plates.

That is good to know, thanks. Because my kids will fight over who gets what pastry if there's only one of each :crazy2:

BOG breakfast is a strange situation. It’s essentially a fixed-price counter-service restaurant. They seem to expect everyone to pay for a meal, but they don’t enforce it. I would not expect them to bring out extra pastries for folks who didn’t pay pay for a meal. The one-plate-per-four-meals seems to be the most reasonable way to handle it.

Yea, this is why I was wanting to split ADRs in the first place. :crazy2:

The pastries are really not worth getting excited over. They are like the little ones you get at Sams Club. I don’t think they are fresh baked, just thawed.

Agree, but people sure seem to want to jump through a lot of hoops for them.

Agreed. However, if I'm paying $50 for breakfast (even if that's only 2 entrees for 5 ppl) I don't want everyone to leave hungry.
