Rides with return times (non DAS)?

Hi, We are returning to the world after a two year absence. We will have two kiddos using wheelchairs. I remember from before that some rides have separate entrances for wheelchairs and return times are given for these even without DAS. I'm thinking Big Thunder Mountain RR and Spaceship Earth? Is this still the case and are there any others? It's almost time to make FP reservations and I assume that it wouldn't be wise to use a FP on these rides?

Thanks!

I wouldn't FP either of those. They will give you a DAS return time, if you want. However, in my extensive experience with both of them, they just take wheelchair guests as they arrive. Every time I got a DAS time from them, it had to be fixed by the CM at the next ride, because they never scan your band there and it leaves the DAS unclaimed.

While I can't guarantee anything, both have been walk-ons for us every single time, without exception. (with wheelchair, at the wheelchair entrance)

I have been behind people at BTMRR that have not had a retrun time and they were told to go to the standby line to get a retrun time and not allowed to ride even when they said they waited there turn. I have been able to get right on the ride with out a reurn time when the wait was 10-15 minutes.

for ride that give out return time

jungle cruse
space moution
BTMRR
IASW (?)
space ship earth.

you will have to wait the amount of time the line is -10 minutes and I think you only have an hour to use it (or that is how it used to be/ some CM do not give you the hour to use it/ I have had to tell CM I was getting a DAS and there was no end time at the JC)

I am really tierd so if this is more off then my normal post I am sorry I an sure I left things out but any ride that has a different entrince fro wheel chair then you need to talk to the CM at the ride and ask them what you need to do as sometims you will go right on and sometimes you will ahve to wait and come back.

My experiences: they send you directly the exit at spaceship earth. the wait there.. varies. I have been met by a CM within 5 minutes, and I have had to wait close to 20 with others in the little waiting area with me. Jungle cruise ..I have seen a CM standing outside the line waiting to hand out the return time thingies and I have been sent directly to the HA entrance. IASW I have always just gone down the separate ramp to wait for a CM to let me through. some times the wait is quite long if there are many people and only one of the boats is running.

I never ride the other ones that give out the cards.

I guess my question really is whether or not having a FP for these rides will make a real difference in our wait time? I'm thinking it likely depends on the number of wheelchair users ahead of us, no matter if they are there with FP or DAS return times or non-DAS return times. Trying to use the fast passes where they will make the most difference.

Whatever you do the opposite would have been better

I use the wheelchair line at BTMRR most of the time I go get a DAS return time than when my time is up will go to the wheelchair line to ride. but my last trip something happened and the line was backed up for 30 minutes, The line was not that long maybe 3 people ahead of me, but the CM was going crazy sending some group to the other load area to load. most of the time it will be 10 minutes or less.

one good thing about having an FP is that you will not need to go to the ride itself and ask the CM for a return time

I know for sure they give return time, out at Jungle curse and BTMRR not sure about spaceship earth

That actually happened to me as well. I had a fast pass, I didn't need a return time. It was an extra one, on a relatively slow day. I am not in a wheelchair, but I use a scooter. I was told to park my scooter and enter through the back. Our party then waited for 30 minutes. Hello, people, the actual line wasn't 30 minutes. It was the walking and standing in the regular line that I can't do.

I wonder if we where not there the same day:)

I like to loop BTMRR so often I will have an FP and DAS at the same time and most of the time I am in and on the ride within 10 minutes ( and often there are people in front of me sometimes the inside holding area is full and the line outside is 3 parties deep and even with this happens it is just over 10 minutes

Jungle cruise they only have two boat that does wheelchair ( one you can stay in your wheelchair) and if this boat just lest you are waiting 10 minutes no matter if you have a DAS or an FP.

OP I really would not worry too much about what one to FP and what ones not to, pick rides you think your Mom will want to go on and do those, I am thinking she will not want to do the big thrill rides and the other ones you can get a 4th 5th 6th and so on FP for after you use your First 3.
