Do You Trust the Media?

The problem I have is that most of the media is biased in one form or another. And the bits that aren't are as boring as heck. I dare ya to try and get your news from the Financial Times without losing the will to live...

Who the hell cares what she was wearing?!?! Seriously! She was run down by a neo nazi. It's on FILM. What about the reports was untrue? Oh, they didn't mention she was wearing black. I get it. If she'd been wearing a pink frock with bows on it, it never would have happened. SMH.

I have been asking for the video where it shows her actually being hit by the car. The picture of her in black, is never shown on any news, only a picture of her that was taken over 10 years ago. Did you ever question why certain pictures are not shown?

No. Because what she wore is not relevant to her death. Are you seriously claiming that if she work a pink tutu instead of black she'd be alive? SMH

Why does it matter what she was wearing that day? Also, are you REALLY saying you want to see video of someone being killed? Do you want to see video of people getting shot in Las Vegas too?

She was 32 years old. That's pretty young for a woman to have a heart attack, even as a smoker.

I imagine so. Otherwise it's all just made up. It will be great when we get those virtual reality machines so we can all experience it and figure out whether it's "real" or not.

Gonna ask a dumb question. The really disgusting thing that happened in Charlottesville was the gentleman gunning his car forwards and backwards into a crowd of people. Do you think THAT happened? And, even if (somehow) your ridiculous claim that the young woman died of a a heart attack completely unrelated to that creep gunning his car into the crowd were true, was he a "bad guy." OF COURSE is my answer. It's obvious. Anyone defending him has an agenda that has no place in our country. With that, I am done.

Why can’t it be that both were wrong. I don’t defend neo-Nazis or the KKK. On the other hand, I don’t defend Antifa and Black Lives Matter. Why? Both hate Jews. As I am a Jew, I am hated by both groups, I don’t approve of the violence that both seem to want.

Or Sandy Hook... :faint:

If I died tragically, I'd hope my family would release my most appealing picture to the media. I may have died in my sweats, with my hair uncombed and looking like hell, but that's not the way I would want the world to remember me. Let's go with that vacation pic from 10 years ago, that shows me at my best!

Blunt force trauma is pretty hard on the body. I can definitely see how getting run into by a car could cause someone's heart to stop, even someone young.

My mother-in-law died of lung cancer, but not really. Really, she died when her heart stopped beating, due to the sheer exhaustion of trying to keep her lungs working as they filled with fluid. So, what really killed her? I still say it was the cancer, even though she was overweight, diabetic, a former smoker, and at high risk for a heart attack.

How insensitive would that be for the family if news stations played a video of their daughter being hit and killed by a car. Not to mention the fact that the trial hasn't happened yet so some things may be kept from the public until then. As for what color she was wearing . I don't even know what to say to that. It's such a bizarre thing to bring up, as if it matters.

Who cares what picture the family gave the media. I hope if I die tragically some day my family gives the media a flattering picture.

LOL. We said almost the exact same thing.

There are videos all over the internet. I don’t think I saw all of them, so as I said point me to the video that shows her being hit.

Ew! :crazy2: Do you seriously want to search out death videos?

Are you on the jury? Are you a police officer, working this case? I'm going to assume the answer is no. So, why do you feel the need to review all the available evidence (some of which I have to assume isn't publicly available anyway)?

Me, I avoid anything tagged "Warning, death!" because I just don't need to see that.

If there is no video showing it, does that mean it didn't happen?\

ETA: In all the videos over the Las Vegas shooting, I haven't seen one where anyone was hit. Maybe that's all "fake news" also?

Maybe there isn't a video showing the moment of impact, that does not mean that she was not struck by that man's car.
In all your reading on the internet you have never come across any articles talking about forensic investigations? It is possible to know what happened based on the physical evidence at the scene, and even using what was shown on that video combined with it.
Unless you are a part of that investigation then you really do not need to see any video, the only people that do are the people trained and qualified to investigate the crime. They are the ones that will figure out what happened.

It's part of the internet phenomena where we now all believe we can be "experts" at anything, and that we no longer need to trust the people who have studied and trained for years (decades even) to become real experts. Because we can watch video and decide for ourselves!

Why would anyone believe the woman in black with the cigarettes is Heather Heyer? Some horrifically disgusting neo-nazi websites says it is so it must be true? Give me a break.

If a tree falls in the forest and no one records it falling...

Let's ignore the witnesses who saw the woodsman hacking away at it. Let's ignore the forensic tree expert who says there are ax marks in the trunk. The tree's mom says it died of a lack of water and nutrients from the soil, so clearly it fell over naturally because... it was a smoker and overweight?

:D
