Haha...well I was sitting there debating whether to hit “Post” on mine, because while funny to me, I didn’t want to offend @Gryhndmom if they took it the wrong way. But then when I did hit post and then saw yours... I figured I’d at least have some company in the DOG house. :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Hum... seems like a common problem for you!!!! :darth::darth::darth:

You know I’m never letting you live that down!!! :earboy2:

Love both your post!

I think the posts by Grumpygal50 are on target. Probably two separate things going on, just speculation but Grumpygal50 spoke with a CM at WL about it. Disney is probably trying to clarify the CL rooms on the website, ie stating the rooms have CL access. So you are not confused that the CL room is any larger or different from other rooms. Which honestly when I did our first trip two years ago and did AKL CL at first I thought the rooms would be different, but then researched it and realized that is not the case. Of course the rooms may have better locations and views.
The other separate matter is that it does seem that they are going to do a refurb of the top floors, hence the two months of no availability for CL rooms in April and May. They are probably figuring out which rooms could have CL access while that refurb is going on and then perhaps those rooms will be shown as being available. Hope that helps.

Yes, very much so - thanks for the information. Funny you mentioned about AKL CL - we stayed there two years ago and I know what you mean. The views were awesome and that was one of the reasons we did it, but we were at the end of one of the trails and it was a haul to the lounge! Anyway, we'd like to go back to WL in April perhaps, so we'll keep our eye on it. I stayed at YC last April with my sisters so was following the room refurb info just to see if we'd get a "new" room, and that progressed faster than I expected, but I guess things like that depend on they type of refurb and such...thanks again!

You are welcome. Yes, we were surprised by the long walk to the AKL lounge and up the elevator, we liked the stay there but the distance from everything was tough. It was a loooong walk from the bus to the room at the end of the day. We liked the look of WL when we went to WCC for dinner so want to try staying there, also doing a split stay with BC CL since we also like Epcot.

You're right about that walk from the bus - but otherwise we loved it there. We've stayed at WL twice - including the spilt stay with AKL two years ago. Definitely more compact! We loved the WL (and WCC) - hope you get the room you want eventually!

Just got back from a weekend stay in a CCV studio. We lucked out and got room 4115 which was handicap accessible. I looked at the map and all rooms ending in 115 have this same configuration but not all are handicap. It almost felt like a one bedroom. It had a separate living area and separate bedroom area instead of the regular studio layout. If you want a little more room in your studio consider requesting a room ending in 115.

Thank you for posting these great photos of a DVC alternate studio. Since it was a Handicapped accessible room, did the bathroom have a roll in shower? What else about the room was altered for a HA room? Was the bed low to the ground, it doesn't look in the photos?

@GrandCalifornian Are your photos from Roaring Forks post-refurb? Wondering about the microwave for a heating pad for recent back surgery and the toaster for bringing breakfast items for someone on a no-fat diet due to gallbladder issues. Thanks!

Just fyi: the buses in the AM were great for us...except Friday EMH at MK. Our biggest issue was coming back for our midday break at Epcot and leaving DHS after the Star Wars show. So I would suggest trying the morning buses and maybe doing uber the other parts of the day. Fortunately for us, we had our car, so we just started using it the rest of the trip, except to MK.

Just curious what were the bus issues I'm MK EMH Firiday AM? We want make EMH on Friday of our trip in March but we do have a PPO at BOG and want to make sure we get there early. Would it be better to boat to CR at 6:45 then waLk to MK

Upper floor by elevators. Or, if you really want to be away from the dumpsters, upper floor, end of hallway, by boat dock. This would be for WL, not CCV or BRV.
Is there more than one elevator in north wing? Other than the one that gets out by Roaring Forks? We’ve had 3 stays at WL, once in north wing and used elevator by Roaring Forks and didn’t notice if there were others. I want to make sure I’m not near service entrance too!

Nope, the only elevators in the north wing are the ones by Roaring Fork. The other bank of elevators are now in the CCV wing (although all guests can use them).

Hello, yes my RF pictures on page 354 of the thread are from after the refurbishment. After looking back at my other pictures, I can confirm that there is a microwave and toaster in the dining room area, all the way to the right as you are standing at the counter on the back wall where the drink refills are. Sorry for the delay, but at least it is a positive answer. :thumbsup2

Here's a little know WL fact, there is a service elevator at the West bend of the North wing, near room x061, actually across the hall from x064. It isn't open to the public, and is accessed from a service area and backs to the hallway, so I wouldn't expect much noise from it, but it is there. It is basically in the mirror of the location of the lobby elevators on the South side.
There's also a service elevator next to the other two elevators in the middle of the North or South Wings, and one behind the three lobby elevators. What a cool building!

It was the longest we waited for a bus and it put us there after EMH had started and the lines were huge by that point so I think we finally got in around 8:30 and so we barely accomplished anything and certainly not what we had hoped for. Someone said there were boats running from WL to MK that morning so maybe we should have gone that route but the buses had been so good every other morning to MK.

And honestly, it could have been just that particular day. But next time, I'll know to get out there earlier or look for the boat.

I can never get the room requests to work in MDE. Apparently there are glitches all the time. I may call them today to request an upper floor room.
I'm 57 days out and zero choices for room preference at Boulder Ridge. I've never had an issue before with this so I presume they will take care of it shortly.

It's been broke for about 2 months now so I don't have confidence they will get it fixed soon.

Well, we are here now at this resort. The view from our room is pretty phenomenal, the castle is right there, Space Mountain, and The Contemporary. Fireworks couldn't be any more visible. Looking down we have a nice view of the loading docks and transformers, so that's a bit different, but the nights make up for it on the balcony. You can even hear bits and pieces of the music.

So far my one complaint is that you can hear everyone flushing their toilets. Don't know if that's how it is everywhere in the different buildings, but in this room it sure is. Flushing all day and night, all the rooms around and above. Bring ear plugs.

Went on the jogging path to Ft. Wilderness this morning. Was 3.5 mile loop. Was a very nice run.
