A Cause For Celebration: A Wedding, A Marathon & A 30th Birthday - January 2018 Update:12/28

and then at 6:40 we have our third Fastpass for the Character Spot - and it overlaps with @MeghanEmily so we can meet Mickey together (and get Photopass pictures to prove our dismeet actually happened haha).

Yay! Looking forward to it!

Luke's team looks awesome! So great to have such loyal friends supporting him (and you)!

Sounds like a great plan for 1/3!

I love the way Luke writes--you guys should duo write your TR!! :) That would be fun! Sounds like he has picked some pretty amazing people to stand up with him.

Luke actually did write a bit of my January 2017 Disneyland trip report :) I've been trying to get him to write more, but after he spends his entire work day writing (he's a creative writer for a group of radio stations), he just doesn't want to look at a computer when he gets home most nights.

Also - I seem to remember you mentioning once that you're a Blackhawks fan... today they released 3 limited edition toasters with all proceeds going to the Jumpstart Charity, and you could choose from Connor McDavid, Wayne Gretzky or Jonathon Toews - and the toaster actually burns their face into your bread :rotfl2:. It's so random and ridiculous, naturally I had to buy one (living in Edmonton, I went for the Connor one, even though Toews is one of my all-time favourite players). Here's the Jon Toews one, I thought you might want to see it haha - https://giveatoast.ca/collections/frontpage/products/jonathan-toews-the-toews-ter

Sounds like you have a fun group of people in Luke's wedding party! (Which is really not at all surprising ... you guys are fun, so I'd expect your friends to be fun too)

Aww, thanks Sarah! For the most part, I get along really well with Luke's friends and family - his sister can be opinionated sometimes, but I'm easy going enough to just shrug it off.

Yay! Looking forward to it!

Luke's team looks awesome! So great to have such loyal friends supporting him (and you)!

Luke's sister and my Maid of Honor don't exactly see eye to eye (they are both very strong-willed people), so hopefully there are no fights on the trip... of course they are both really important to us, so I'm happy to have them both in our wedding party :)

Looking forward to finally meeting you!

Wedding/Trip Stuff

As of two days ago, we are now only 6 weeks away from leaving for Florida! :scared: I feel like I have so many things left to do before then, and no idea how I'll get them all done... I guess I've reached the stressed out part of wedding planning haha (and this wedding has been relatively easy to plan for!).

I emailed the request for our Florida marriage license off already, so now I'm just waiting for the rest of the forms we need to fill out to be sent to me. Hopefully I see those this week.

I still haven't had my dress altered. I think this is the thing causing me the most stress, we took it to my mom's friend who is an amazing seamstress but she didn't want to do it (she was scared of ruining it due to the amount of beading/lace/boning in the top part that needs to be taken in). So, I have contact information for another seamstress here in the city, but her shop is closed on Sunday and Monday - so I'll try and call tomorrow.

We also still haven't even started our search for Luke's wedding day attire... We thought about renting a tux, but due to the length of our vacation it would be pricey/difficult. Luke currently only owns one suit, so we decided to just invest in another one for him to have and will be buying one. We should probably get on that...

Our photographer is now 100% paid! :cool1: We owe Disney the remaining balance for our ceremony and dessert party in 3 weeks, but we only have a little over $500 left on that bill. Our reception at Homecomin' is about 75% paid right now as well, so we're getting close on that bill too! I'll be so happy once everything is paid for (of course, some of it is sitting on our credit cards right now, but such is life...)

I started going through the tote of wedding stuff we've been buying all year...

IMG_8550.JPG

We are not doing traditional wedding favours, and instead opted into doing awesome welcome bags. Every person is getting a custom tshirt to wear on a specified day - each shirt has a silhouette of a Disney or Pixar character and their title on the front, and their name is on the back under the neck. Everyone that is my family/friends is getting a blue shirt, Luke's family/friends will be in black and Luke and I will be in white (my least favourite colour, but I'll suck it up since it's my wedding haha).

IMG_8552.JPG

IMG_7888.JPG

The picture of our full tote has our FujiFilm Instax camera on top. We've actually had that for a few years, Luke won it at a work Christmas party :) We don't use it often, but we thought it would be fun to use for our guest book. With such a small group, we're hoping that everyone will snap a bunch of pictures with it throughout the day, and we bought a book to put them all in. I also didn't want to use just plain film (although we do have about 40 pieces of regular film in case people are taking a lot of pics), so we bought some fun film packs for the day :) Luke even found Mickey Mouse and Winnie the Pooh ones on Amazon!

IMG_8554.JPG

We did a second engagement shoot last Monday (we loved our first ones, but I really want Disneyland pictures haha). The photographer we hired posted our first sneak peek on her Instagram last night, I can't wait to see them all! We were not able to get the castle pictures I really wanted since we were there the day they were filming the Christmas parade, but I'm sure I'll still love what we got :) Plus it just means we'll need to do another session with her in the future haha!

IMG_8560.PNG

Since it was our second engagement pictures, we decided to go full Disney with our outfits haha. I had asked Luke the week before we left what he planned on wearing - he didn't know. He went to run a few errands one day, and came back with the sweater he's wearing in that picture - he was so excited about it :) He loves Nightmare Before Christmas (and he loves Haunted Mansion, he had bought his tshirt from TeePublic last year), so his outfit suited him perfectly :)

Luke's sister and my Maid of Honor don't exactly see eye to eye (they are both very strong-willed people), so hopefully there are no fights on the trip... of course they are both really important to us, so I'm happy to have them both in our wedding party :)

Looking forward to finally meeting you!

Uh oh, sounds like an opportunity for drama! But what would a wedding be without a little tension here and there!? lol  Hopefully all will go smoothly. They both care for you guys, so I'm sure they'll be able to put their differences aside for a few days for your benefit. Nathan's best man and one of my bridesmaids had a bit of a weird history in University too, which involved one being interested in the other in a bit of an inappropriate situation where they weren't both single, and the other being really miffed by it...so they've never totally gotten past that. But they were able to be perfectly cool and civil with each other for the benefit of our wedding.

As you've mentioned before, I think it's so funny that we're meeting for the first time in Florida when we grew up a few hours apart, but I'm really looking forward to seeing you and Luke! I told Nathan and he's excited, too.

As of two days ago, we are now only 6 weeks away from leaving for Florida! :scared:

Oh my goodness, yay!! It's coming up so soon!

I feel like I have so many things left to do before then, and no idea how I'll get them all done... I guess I've reached the stressed out part of wedding planning haha (and this wedding has been relatively easy to plan for!).

Somehow it'll all get done. But I hit the same stressed out phase a little before our wedding when suddenly there was so little time and so much to do. I found with the Disney weddings there's not a lot you can do far in advance until you're suddenly close to the day and everything needs to happen!

I'll be so happy once everything is paid for (of course, some of it is sitting on our credit cards right now, but such is life...)

So close!! I remember that day for us and it felt so good! Credit cards...nbd!

I love this idea! We did welcome bags, but they weren't nearly this cool. I did think about getting character silhouette shirts for our bridal party, but only one of them had a character they particularly identified with, so I just gave up the idea.

We were not able to get the castle pictures I really wanted since we were there the day they were filming the Christmas parade, but I'm sure I'll still love what we got :) Plus it just means we'll need to do another session with her in the future haha!

I love this! You look so happy! Always good to have a reason to go back for more photos...

after he spends his entire work day writing (he's a creative writer for a group of radio stations), he just doesn't want to look at a computer when he gets home most nights.

Well, THAT explains it!!!! He is so talented at it :)

Connor McDavid, Wayne Gretzky or Jonathon Toews - and the toaster actually burns their face into your bread :rotfl2:.

That's hilarious! And I'd almost consider getting it....if we didn't already have a Mickey toaster that burns HIS face into our bread. LOL

The picture of our full tote has our FujiFilm Instax camera on top.

I was going to say I spotted that in the picture! We just went to a bday party where they had one and we had so much fun taking pictures!!!

It's getting real now--6 weeks is nothing!!!

I know, I know - I just need to embrace my title as crazy cat lady...

This would be great, except Burger King sucks...

Ah yes. There is that.

Give Kids the World is the complex they've built for Make-A-Wish children and their families (like a big hotel, but with a Merry-Go-Round, food courts, etc). Everything on site is free for the families for the week they are there, and they rely on lots of volunteers to make everything run smoothly :)

This sounds amazing! So good of you to volunteer.

We ate there on our trip last January and loved it so much we have it booked as our wedding reception :)

 Well, then in that case, I've heard nothing but wonderful things!

:rolleyes1

I'm not a fancy person at all, but it'll be fun to pretend for a night!

::yes:: I feel the same. Jeans and a t-shirt. That's me.
But every now and then.... :cool2:

Luckily I do have 11 park day planned for myself on this trip, so hopefully that will be enough to keep me satisfied :)

nope. It won't be. it never is.

breakfast reservation at Trail's End over at Fort Wilderness

I've yet to get over there.

We also have a Le Cellier reservation at 3:40, but we will probably end up canceling that - Luke wanted to try Crew's Cup Lounge at the Yacht Club Resort and this is really the only time we have to fit it in.

Hmmm... tough call.
Le Cellier is... yummy.

Our 2nd Fastpass is for Mission Space at 4:40

Orange or green?

and then at 6:40 we have our third Fastpass for the Character Spot - and it overlaps with @MeghanEmily so we can meet Mickey together (and get Photopass pictures to prove our dismeet actually happened haha).

Look at my niece! Isn’t she cute?

::yes::

As of two days ago, we are now only 6 weeks away from leaving for Florida! :scared:

Getting cloooooooser!

I feel like I have so many things left to do before then, and no idea how I'll get them all done...

You will!

I still haven't had my dress altered. I think this is the thing causing me the most stress

Breathe Kendra... Breathe!

Luke currently only owns one suit, so we decided to just invest in another one for him to have and will be buying one. We should probably get on that...

No hurry. Plenty of time. Suits don't take long.

We are not doing traditional wedding favours, and instead opted into doing awesome welcome bags. Every person is getting a custom tshirt to wear on a specified day - each shirt has a silhouette of a Disney or Pixar character and their title on the front, and their name is on the back under the neck.

Love that!

I will be in white (my least favourite colour, but I'll suck it up since it's my wedding haha).

 Oh, the sacrifices you are making!

Too cute. :)

Very cute shot!

he loves Haunted Mansion

That's all you need to know. Marry him.

Uh oh, sounds like an opportunity for drama! But what would a wedding be without a little tension here and there!? lol  Hopefully all will go smoothly. But they were able to be perfectly cool and civil with each other for the benefit of our wedding.

Oh, I have no doubt that there will be drama at some point haha. Luke and his sister usually end up fighting at some point if they are around each other for too long - and we have a lot of very different people coming on this trip haha.

I can see how that situation could create some tension - it's great they were able to put it aside for your wedding trip though :)

As you've mentioned before, I think it's so funny that we're meeting for the first time in Florida when we grew up a few hours apart, but I'm really looking forward to seeing you and Luke! I told Nathan and he's excited, too.

So, I clicked on Nathan's name on Facebook because I was curious - and we have mutual friends in common (besides you of course haha). Small world!

Oh my goodness, yay!! It's coming up so soon!

One month from Thursday until we leave for Florida!

Somehow it'll all get done. But I hit the same stressed out phase a little before our wedding when suddenly there was so little time and so much to do. I found with the Disney weddings there's not a lot you can do far in advance until you're suddenly close to the day and everything needs to happen!

So true! You just can't do some things a year in advance - we weren't even able to lock in our date until 8 months out (as you know).

So close!! I remember that day for us and it felt so good! Credit cards...nbd!

I only have one more payment to make to Disney, and then I'll be done paying for the wedding and the dessert party! It'll feel so good to have that done...

I love this idea! We did welcome bags, but they weren't nearly this cool. I did think about getting character silhouette shirts for our bridal party, but only one of them had a character they particularly identified with, so I just gave up the idea.

We just randomly choose characters for the most part haha. Any of the couples are getting couples shirts (Anna/Kristoff, Piglet/Pooh, Chip/Dale, etc).

What did you put into your welcome bags? So far we have the t-shirts, Brita water bottles (the ones with the built-in filter), tylenol, wet wipes, mini sticks of Body Glide... I'd like to get little bottles of hand sanitizer and small packs of Kleenex - but I'm lost with what else to put in.

I love this! You look so happy! Always good to have a reason to go back for more photos...

She's a great photographer! If you're ever in the SoCal area, you and Nathan should have a photo session with her :)

Well, THAT explains it!!!! He is so talented at it :)

He really is! I'll try and get him to write more of my trip report (he did do the Earl of Sandwich review on my dining report :) )

That's hilarious! And I'd almost consider getting it....if we didn't already have a Mickey toaster that burns HIS face into our bread. LOL

Haha, nice!

I was going to say I spotted that in the picture! We just went to a bday party where they had one and we had so much fun taking pictures!!!

We rarely use ours, but it is a lot of fun!

It's getting real now--6 weeks is nothing!!!

I know! It's now 6 weeks from tomorrow until the wedding itself!

Those look so 90's! I used to have a Barbie Polaroid when I was a kid and I'd buy Barbie film to go with it :rotfl:

That's amazing! I'm sure they were really great pictures too :rotfl:. I know when I was a kid I was pretty good at cutting people's heads out of the picture, or moving the camera too much and getting a giant blur hahaha.

Yep, that's fitting for me.

This sounds amazing! So good of you to volunteer.

I'm really looking forward to it!

 Well, then in that case, I've heard nothing but wonderful things!

:rolleyes1

Haha, I've seen a few negative reviews, but overwhelmingly positive. Also - again, I'm not a super fancy person and couldn't see myself eating a 5 course meal on my wedding day or anything. Nope, give me some fried chicken and mashed potatoes, and I'm a happy girl!

::yes:: I feel the same. Jeans and a t-shirt. That's me.
But every now and then.... :cool2:

I'm the same - jeans every day of the week (except weekends, those = sweatpants haha). And every day is a t-shirt (either a band tee or a hockey tee - I have a crazy collection of both - actually today I'm wearing a Jets one!).

nope. It won't be. it never is.

I'll probably be so ready to get home to my cats (and dogs) by the time this trip is over...

I've yet to get over there.

It'll be a first for us as well....

Hmmm... tough call.
Le Cellier is... yummy.

I do like Le Cellier, but we have another reservation for there the week our family/friends are with us.

Orange or green?

Green. Always green. I don't love that ride to begin with, and I don't like rides that rely on G-forces too heavily.

Getting cloooooooser!

Less than 5 weeks now until we leave!

You will!

It's coming together now!

No hurry. Plenty of time. Suits don't take long.

That's what we figured. We'll try and go soon though...

Love that!

Most of the people coming with us don't seem super receptive to the idea of wearing Disney clothes, but they will have no choice but to one day. Bride's orders haha.

 Oh, the sacrifices you are making!

I know. Tough life.

Too cute. :)

They turned out awesome!

Very cute shot!

Thanks! I can't wait to see them all!

That's all you need to know. Marry him.

Hahah, yep! Pretty much!

Day Six Plans - January 4th, 2018

I am not looking forward to the alarm on this day - it will be my earliest morning of the trip :crazy2:. I hate mornings to begin with, but then you throw in an alarm at 3:30am? No thank you! I'll drag my butt out of bed eventually (Luke will have already been up, dressed and eaten breakfast, because that's what he does...), and we'll head out to catch the bus a little after 4am. The bus will drop us off, and we'll need to go through the security check and eventually to our assigned corral. Last year the 5k race started at 6am (but when we did the Disneyland Spiderman 5k a few weeks ago, it started at 5:30am, yuck).

After being unhappy about being awake so early, and putting way too many steps on my Fitbit that early in the day, we will finish our 5k (most of which I'll probably walk haha) - and collect our medals and snack boxes. Our plan is to catch the bus heading to the Polynesian, so we can go grab some Tonga Toast from Capt' Cooks. After our quick breakfast, we'll head over to Magic Kingdom for a few Fastpasses - first one is Splash, followed by Haunted Mansion and then Space Mountain. By this point, it'll be after 11am and we'll both be exhausted! So, we'll head back to OKW for showers and naps.

We'll need to set an alarm, because we need to be at the Contemporary around 5:30 to check in for Highway in the Sky! I am really looking forward to this, it was on my must-do list. It's not cheap, but I'll get to dress up a bit and enjoy a progressive dining experience at the Contemporary, Polynesian and Grand Floridian :) I already know I probably like like all of the food, but I've already told Luke I will be a little adventurous and actually try something new.

After watching the Happily Ever After fireworks from the Contemporary, we'll head back to Old Key West and call it a night.

Park(s) Planned:
Magic Kingdom
Fastpasses:
Splash Mountain 9:15-10:15
Haunted Mansion 10:15-11:15
Space Mountain 11:15-12:15

ADR's:
Highway in the Sky Dine Around 5:45

Day Seven Plans - January 5th, 2018

We'll be starting off this Friday with a breakfast reservation at Trattoria El Forno for the Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast with Rapunzel, Flynn and others (last I checked, it was Ariel and Eric). From there, we'll catch a boat over to Hollywood Studios for our Fastpasses. Our tier 1 selection this day was Rock N' Roller Coaster, and we'll be following it up with two of our favourites - Tower of Terror and Star Tours (although - I must admit - I LOVE the Guardians of the Galaxy overhaul they did on the TOT in California. I think that might now be my #1 ride at all the Disney parks in the US).

If we're hungry, we'll grab a quick service lunch or just have some snacks. Eventually, we'll head over to Magic Kingdom (probably bus to Contemporary, then walk over to MK). We have an early lunch reservation at Liberty Tree Tavern - another must-try place on our list. We'll try and get a few rides in before going to eat even more food - this time at the Happily Ever After Dessert Party. So we'll be watching this show two nights in a row - once from outside the park and once from inside the park :)

While we are watching the show, the first of our wedding guests will be arriving at MCO! My dad is scheduled to land a little after 8pm that night, so I'll be so excited to see him! I live on the other side of the country from him, and only get to see him 1-2 times per year, and by this point it'll have been ~7 months since I saw him last. He's actually staying in our hotel room that night (he booked his room from the 6th-13th, but then flights on the 6th were ridiculous - both in timing and pricing, so he had to fly in on the 5th). So, once we get back to OKW that night, we'll sit around and catch up with my dad for awhile, before finally going to sleep - the next day is when the craziness starts!

Park(s) Planned:
Hollywood Studios/Magic Kingdom
Fastpasses:
Rock N' Roller Coaster 10:55-11:55
Tower of Terror 12:10-1:10
Star Tours 1:15-2:15

ADR's:
Bon Voyage Breakfast 8:45am
Liberty Tree Tavern 4:10pm
Happily Ever After Dessert Party 7:45pm

So, I clicked on Nathan's name on Facebook because I was curious - and we have mutual friends in common (besides you of course haha). Small world!

Cool! I figured we must know people who knew people, etc. The Maritimes are too small for us not to be connected. :)

I only have one more payment to make to Disney, and then I'll be done paying for the wedding and the dessert party! It'll feel so good to have that done...

Yay! That will be awesome!

Any of the couples are getting couples shirts (Anna/Kristoff, Piglet/Pooh, Chip/Dale, etc).

Oooh good call. Love this!

Hmm...we did a lot of these things, too. But also "I'm Celebrating" buttons, individual sunscreen packs, ponchos, Disney-themed gummy snacks, park maps...hmm...I can't think what else...ooh and small water toys and beach balls I found on sale at Michael's in the summer. :P

She's a great photographer! If you're ever in the SoCal area, you and Nathan should have a photo session with her :)

Making a note of this :)

I am not looking forward to the alarm on this day - it will be my earliest morning of the trip :crazy2:. I hate mornings to begin with, but then you throw in an alarm at 3:30am? No thank you!

Ughh, you and me both!

we will finish our 5k (most of which I'll probably walk haha)

I have a feeling this may also be me...though I've been doing better than Nathan so far in endurance, even though he kills me in speed!

we'll head over to Magic Kingdom for a few Fastpasses - first one is Splash, followed by Haunted Mansion and then Space Mountain. By this point, it'll be after 11am and we'll both be exhausted! So, we'll head back to OKW for showers and naps.

Good choices!! And you're braver than I am...I don't have anything booked after the run till dinner at like 5pm. Naps for days!

We'll need to set an alarm, because we need to be at the Contemporary around 5:30 to check in for Highway in the Sky!

Yay! I'm psyched to hear about this!

We'll be starting off this Friday with a breakfast reservation at Trattoria El Forno for the Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast with Rapunzel, Flynn and others (last I checked, it was Ariel and Eric).

Good choice! I'm excited to try this, too.

That's awesome that you'll get to spend some time with him! Exciting!

We'll need to set an alarm, because we need to be at the Contemporary around 5:30 to check in for Highway in the Sky!

I'm SUPER excited about doing this, too!! Of course the only night it worked out in our schedule with everything else we have planned is the night before the 5K...oops!! Poorly timed, but should still be incredible!

we'll head out to catch the bus a little after 4am. The bus will drop us off, and we'll need to go through the security check and eventually to our assigned corral. Last year the 5k race started at 6am

I'm dying to get more info on how everything works for a runDisney weekend---this being our first, I have no clue what to expect besides what I have read in other people's TRs. I know the event guide is typically emailed. How much longer before we actually receive that for this Marathon weekend??

Haha, I've seen a few negative reviews, but overwhelmingly positive. Also - again, I'm not a super fancy person and couldn't see myself eating a 5 course meal on my wedding day or anything. Nope, give me some fried chicken and mashed potatoes, and I'm a happy girl!

I think I'm in love.

I'm the same - jeans every day of the week (except weekends, those = sweatpants haha).

And every day is a t-shirt (either a band tee or a hockey tee - I have a crazy collection of both - actually today I'm wearing a Jets one!).

I have the odd Harley Davidson T.
As in, several.

Lots, actually.

I do like Le Cellier, but we have another reservation for there the week our family/friends are with us.

Ah. So skippable then.

Green. Always green. I don't love that ride to begin with, and I don't like rides that rely on G-forces too heavily.

Or that make me feel like crap for an hour.

Most of the people coming with us don't seem super receptive to the idea of wearing Disney clothes, but they will have no choice but to one day. Bride's orders haha.

::yes:: Ya gotta do what the bride says. It's a rule.

I am not looking forward to the alarm on this day - it will be my earliest morning of the trip :crazy2:. I hate mornings to begin with, but then you throw in an alarm at 3:30am? No thank you!

Ugh. If you just walk around later, you'll probably cover 5K. I suggest sleeping in.

We'll need to set an alarm, because we need to be at the Contemporary around 5:30 to check in for Highway in the Sky!

Cool! Heard of it. Wasn't sure if they were still doing it.

I love the shirts! And I can't wait to see more pictures from Disneyland!

(although - I must admit - I LOVE the Guardians of the Galaxy overhaul they did on the TOT in California. I think that might now be my #1 ride at all the Disney parks in the US).
Zack is so upset by this. I'm curious to see what he thinks after riding it when we go to Disneyland in April.

We'll need to set an alarm, because we need to be at the Contemporary around 5:30 to check in for Highway in the Sky!
Fun! I can't wait to hear. This seems so neat :)

Ugh, those runDisney wakeups are the worst. Kinda worth it, though, because the races are awesome.

I'm so excited that you guys are doing Highway in the Sky. When I first heard about it, I thought that was so cool. I'm excited to hear what you think!

Hollywood Studios/MK day sounds great too!

Cool! I figured we must know people who knew people, etc. The Maritimes are too small for us not to be connected. :)

So true!

I am actually getting buttons custom made with our names and wedding date on them - they were expensive! :rolleyes1

Where did you get Disney-themed snacks? I love that idea!

Ughh, you and me both!

I was so cranky last year on the morning of the 5k haha. I was surprisingly much better a few weeks ago at Disneyland.

I have a feeling this may also be me...though I've been doing better than Nathan so far in endurance, even though he kills me in speed!

Yeah, Luke is currently in training for a full marathon...I just don't train at all haha. I did a bit of training for the 5k last January, but then didn't go for a single run until I did the Disneyland 5k earlier this month - which is why I walked most of it haha. I've been so busy I haven't even been able to think about going for a run since we got back from California. Oh well, tons of people walk during runDisney events!

Good choices!! And you're braver than I am...I don't have anything booked after the run till dinner at like 5pm. Naps for days!

We did something similar last year, and it worked out really well! We were able to walk onto Pirates and Jungle Cruise, and used Fastpasses for Splash, Big Thunder and the Talking Mickey, plus ate lunch at Peco's Bill's and we were still out of the park by 11:30 or so.

Yay! I'm psyched to hear about this!

I'm psyched to be trying it! Haha.

Good choice! I'm excited to try this, too.

The food doesn't look overly exciting, but I love character meals haha.

That's awesome that you'll get to spend some time with him! Exciting!

Yeah, I get along really well with my dad, and we travel really well together!

I am actually getting buttons custom made with our names and wedding date on them - they were expensive! :rolleyes1

Ooh awesome! Worth it! :) I just secretly ordered a few buttons for our December trip from Parkbound buttons for myself and the crew. I shipped them to our home address instead of our PO box in Maine, so hopefully they'll still come in lots of time.

Where did you get Disney-themed snacks? I love that idea!

It was cute! People laughed at them, but I'm pretty sure I saw a lot of people snacking on them at some point later on... haha

I'm not sure where I ended up getting them...somewhere normal like Walmart or Costco or the grocery store.

I got that impression, so that's good! I'm not too worried. I've been training and doing okay. But I'm more concerned that it's at the end of our trip, and I have a habit of tiring myself out walking and getting blisters on our trips. Going to try my best to be kind to my feet/legs leading up to the race!

My thoughts, too.

Parkbound buttons are MY FAV!!!!! They usually come super fast after ordering--hopefully you have the same luck with international shipping!!
