>> Refillable Mug FAQ <<

We bought our white handled mugs yesterday at captain cooks at Polynesian. They are chipped. When we bought them I watched the cm activate each of them. The Soda machine here and at contemporary both correctly displayed the length of stay end date in two weeks. At POFQ the freestyle machine refused to dispense without the chipped mug under it (I had beeen distracted so the mug wasn’t in the machine the first time I tried; once I put it in it dispensed fine.

Fyi the mug wash station at captain cooks was out of order yesterday and today.

I'm ok with Orlando water it has never bothered me. .the Gold Peak tea at Roaring Forks is undrinkable. The Geyser Peak tea is better. I work in restaurants. The Gold Peak tea in Roaring Forks and Geyser Peak are calibrated wrong with the tea / water ratio. The Roaring Forks dispenser, in my opinion has a cleanliness issue.
IMO all gold peak tea is undrinkable. I was so disappointed our first Disney trip. I don’t drink soda, but love unsweetened tea. I had expected to use my cup all the time, I used it once. For water

Quick question. Is there a list of resorts with Freestyle machines? I love club soda.. which you can get out of the freestyles.

My Wilderness experience last week must have been an anamoly because when we took our mug, which if it did have a chip was never activated by the cashier, to bay lake and contemporary it worked fine. If I just pushed the soda dispenser without a cup under it, soda came out. We were there from nov 25 to dec 1. And I tried bay lake and contemporary sometime during that week. Wierd. Oh well I had hoped they were going back to the old way. Hopefully they will leave Aulani alone. We got mugs the first year we were there and bring them back every year.

You can also get Club soda, or soda water out of some of the old dispensers. I know that the Boardwalk Bakery and Hurricane Hanna’s dispensers have it. I think the dispensers at the Beach Pool at GF have it, too.

I’ve seen the Freestyle machines at Gasparillas, POFQ, and YC and BC Marketplaces.

Do you get the refillable mugs when not on the dining plan?
You can purchase them. I believe they were either $17.99 or $18.99 for length of stay. We stayed 7 days and since we spend time at the resort plus eat breakfast there most days they are worth it for us.

Just curious. But how many of you carry your mugs to the parks? Since they are only refillable at a resort it doesn't seem to make much sense to carry them to the parks.
We have a car so fill up at the resort for the short journey to the park, then leave them in the car. Then one of us gets dropped off at the drinks machine to fill up again on our return to the resort.

That makes a lot of sense. I haven't had one and don't do much soda. It would mainly be coffee and hot cocoa

Thank you! Getting really excited for a trip in Feb!

Wow thats awesome. Wish I could go that long. I am lucky to go for 5 or 6 days.
I believe we have more paid annual leave per year in the UK than over in the US (so I've been told). I get 7 weeks paid leave so it's normal for us to go away for 2-3 weeks at a time. WDW is our main trip each year so we make the most of it and go for as long as we can afford (after lots of overtime).

Does anyone know if the water dispenser that is with the fountain drinks required a chip?

I was thinking of bringing my old cup from January just to fill with water.
