Does anyone know how to find out if a room has a connecting door? We are going in 2 weeks, and i'd like to put a fax through touring plans requesting 2 rooms side by side with connecting door, but nowhere can I find any info as to which rooms may have them. Thanks.

For those wondering about the height of the beds in the YC refurbished rooms, this photo will allow you to compare the height of the beds to the day bed. I previously estimated the top of the mattress to be about 5"-6" higher than normal.

No, we don't have a listing of rooms with connecting doors for either the Beach Club or Yacht Club resorts.

FWIW: We have heard mixed feedback about the success of TP faxes here- Room assigners have told me that the most effective way to communicate your room preferences is to describe them in words, rather than requesting particular room numbers.

Thanks I'm going to try it and I will make sure to report my success back here. This is our first trip ever to beach club, I have 2 water view rooms and I am VERY excited. EPCOT is our favorite park, so this stay is a dream come true. We are there from Jan 29 till Feb 3rd for our 20th anniversary and my parents 50th. Going to be a blast!

We are hunkered down here- Mark is home from work, both boys home as well.

It looks like you are having a terrible storm. I hope you don't lose electricity. But I'm glad to hear that the family is all together.

Teena and Lily are currently at WDW and not impressed with the record low temps!

Lily definitely dislikes the cold. They'll have to do a repeat trip, maybe June 12th to June 16th, when it is warm and we are at the Beach Club.

We are doing ok here. Probably got about 10 inches of snow. No school again tomorrow for Ben. Flooding is the biggest problem here. There are some pretty badly flooded roads in Boston and some other cities near me.

We now have a trip planned for the end of February. But I bet Teena will be there Presidents week. We got lucky being able to see her in October, since she often goes to Disney during school holidays, the time we try to avoid.

First time at BC - very excited! Love the walkability to EPCOT. Got lucky in renting points at the 7 month mark, were notified within a day that we got our first choice, the 2BR at BCV. We have reservations at Beaches and Cream where we'll try the chocolate Kitchen Sink (DH is the only one who hasn't been here) and Cape May Buffet. Most restaurant choices are DS's for her birthday week. For the big day we have the restaurant in the Mexico building in EPCOT. Things that are new since our last visit - Soarin', FEA, Pandora and hopefully Toy Story Land will be previewing or opening (Pixie Dust).

Last year the hours for SAB in January were 10 am to 8 pm. Can anyone report on the hours currently? Although based on the record lows in Florida right now, I expect the pool hours may be curtailed even more than normal for this time of year.

Yes! January 18-21 - first time at Yacht Club - so excited!

Arrived today. We landed at 8 and we were at BC by 9. We got an upgrade from SV to GV but it wasn't the best choice maybe. Our room was ready at 10 but we were already at Epcot! We didn't get into it until 4:30 anyway. It's just me and dd11 and ds 14 and the upgrade was a queen and a pull out couch. Not what we really wanted but we decided to keep it. Small balcony but very close to secret entrance Which means far from lobby. Decorations are amazing and the smell is heavenly. Kids had the pool practically to themselves tonight. All the lifeguards are in parkas and the Canadians are swimming! Looking forward to a great week!

Was the pull out big enough for your 11 year old? We had a day bed last time when my son was 9 and it was a tad bit too small. Now he's 5 foot and I am hoping for 2 beds (one for DH and myself and one for DS)?

Sorry about the confusion.

Yes, all rooms are redone.

I made that recent post because I was removing the info from Page 1. I like to be able to reference past info if necessary so I post the info and use the link so I know where to find it.

I just changed the language a bit to indicate all YC rooms are renovated and that the post is for historical archival purposes.
