I am assuming for the daily "room check". They didn't mention in their post if Housekeeping had been, or if their schedule on marathon day meant they had their sign up more than they normally would have. This is one of my big concerns for my trip later this month. I sleep late, often until 10-11am, and if I am awakened early, I won't be able to get back to sleep and I'll be in a foul mood from sleep deprivation. I don't want to have to set an alarm and get up early on vacation - that's what work is for! This will be the first of four 11 day scheduled trips for 2018, and if it all goes south from lack of sleep, the other three will be cancelled. I am tempted to wear earplugs (although I am allergic, so that brings up a whole different set of issues) just so I can't hear them knock if they do. Let them use their tool, come in and look around, and leave while I'm sleeping.
I declined housekeeping for the duration of my stay in exchange for the gift card at check-in, and had the DND on at all times, just like I do for every trip, regardless of destination.

Oh Haley, so glad you got your BOG dinner! You must be over the top happy. I know you kept trying for it. We have my 9 yo grandson with us, his first time at Disney. He's super pumped. I suggested he watch a bunch of different Disney Movies to get him in the spirit. I watched Lion King myself, last night...LOL.
Thank you!! It’s all thanks to a fellow diser who stayed up super late with me to get the job done. Now it comes down to if they let us in at 4 for dah. I need to start watching Disney movies too!!

I did the taco bar at pecos bills and didn’t think it was too bad for qs.

Yes-hours for Everything Pop Food Court are 6:00 AM-Midnight.:)

(Beverage Island access begins at 6:00 AM,but not all of the Food Stations will open at 6:00AM.)
Oh, okay, at least I can get a hot beverage as I browse through my schedule waiting for the rest of my party to group.

I'll be at POP 7/3-7/10 with my mom, 16 year old son and 13 year old daughter. We had stayed at POP a few years ago and we really enjoyed it. I just had to adjust our BB offer due to my kids crazy schedules. Was originally booked at CS because I wanted to try a a new resort, but no standard rooms were available and I couldn't justify the cost so I switched to POP. I was able to book standard and I would like a renovated room for the bigger beds but it's not a deal breaker. I'm excited to get back to Disney. Also looking forward to a Dole whip upon check in

Exactly...a Dole Whip...what a great and new treat for us POP Lovers!

I had no idea they took TIW! I could've saved a decent amount of money
The CM working at the food court while we were there told me I couldn't use my TIW card. I wanted to save money but still couldn't! I just assumed she was right and later asked on here and learned that she was misinformed. I wish I'd saved my receipts. Oh well. Next time I will be better informed!

Bookmark this on your phone for easy access not only when deciding where to eat but for CMs who don't know their job.

I'm excited to try it out! We have maxed out our TS credits with character dining and are happy to have BOG breakfast for one of our QS meals... DD7 is a little eater so we will have an interesting time using her credits - she'll mostly eat things that are snack credits. we may use her QS credits to buy 3 snacks at a time type of thing. We love the mugs too - we have a split stay as we are flying in later int he day our first day - so that is a room only at Pop - we figured we didn't need the dining cost for that added day when we will be there only for a quick dinner at Pop before heading to bed - so the next morning we will check out and check in to our new reservation with the DDP and get our mugs then before we head off to DHS for the day. Praying that we won't have to switch rooms but are prepared to do it if we must! Hopefully they will be able to tell us when we check in our first night whether or not we will have to switch rooms so we can pack/unpack accordingly.

Quick Service credits do not work like table service credits. You can use all of your QS credits to purchase adult meals. We do this and find that sharing a QS credit is often all my 8yo daughter and I need, sometimes supplemented by a snack.

I did not know they were doing this now. I am glad they are trying to keep things safe, but would have been startled with someone coming in my room when I wasn't expecting it.
Hopefully it random and not every room...IDK...that would be a bit much if you ask me.

We will be staying at POP for a short trip later this month. Does anyone who has stayed at POP recently know if alarm clocks are still in the rooms or can they be requested from Housekeeping? I am old school and prefer to use an alarm clock rather than my phone for an alarm and to see the time. Thank you.
