This Is Us- Season two

Bumping up because we finally get a new episode on Tuesday!!

Also, I’m watching the Kevin episode again because I’m obsessed with it and I noticed something. There’s a scene after he gets picked up at the airport and the Uber takes a detour to his old house. He’s staring at the house and remembering how they used to play football and then the owner of the house comes out and asks Kevin if he can help him..

When the man first comes out the house address is 1646 but when the camera is on Kevin saying no thanks and then it goes back to the owner the address is 1920. That seems to be way too obvious to be a continuity mistake but I can’t figure out why they would specifically show us that.

Any insight?

Bizarre. Can't imagine what the explanation could be.

I'm happy to have the show back but also sad. I know we are one step closer to losing Jack :(

From the previews tonight’s episode looks reallly good. Like you said though, were one episode closer. I’m guessing that his drinking and faulty electricity play a major role. We should set up a survey on how he dies lol

What an excellent episode. I was glued to it. Such good character development. I love the way the siblings are so connected. I wonder if they are hiding something about their father's death.

This episode wasn't as gut-wrenching as the ones before the break. Although I did cry for Kevin at the end when Rebecca found him on the floor and snuggled him. This episode was spot on about kids that adults view as "perfect" and it how sometimes leaves the child overlooked in many ways.

Great episode. That therapy session felt so real. Everyone was great tonight, especially Mandy Moore and Justin Hartley. Glad Kate came clean to Toby. Looks like the Miguel drama is about to start up. Can't wait until next week.

Good episode. My favourite part was the end, with Rebecca sleeping on the floor with Kevin.

I’ve always been pretty ‘meh’ about Beth but for some reason I really disliked her this episode.

That’s all I have for now. I usually have to sit and stew for a day or so afterwards lol

I'm glad the show is back, but, wow, it felt like a lot of commercials tonight. Could do with less of them and more of the show. I've only recently warmed up to Miguel, but I liked him a little more in this episode. I was glad he stuck up for Jack and thought he made a good point about what the others have gone through. I agree Justin and Mandy were very good in their roles tonight. I'm looking forward to seeing where the next episode goes.

Enjoyed this episode and all that was already mentioned. But the bar scenes with the 'outsiders' cracked me up. Really well done to give us their perspectives.

I disagree with Kimblebee about Beth in this episode. She's ticked about Kevin driving drunk with Tess. And rightfully so.

And Randall's mantra to keep his cool. Lol

Interesting to see Miguel have a few more lines and a hint at his perspective.

The therapist drove us crazy. Is that really what therapy is like?

All around great episode.

Strangely enough the therapist was the only one I liked in the therapy session. Everyone else was becoming hysterical.

Not so much. Kevin had no idea that Tess snuck into his car. The drunk driving is bad, not saying it isn't, but I absolve him for the Tess thing. That was Tess' fault as well as her parents for not watching her closely enough.

I loved it. I loved seeing things from Kevins view. Kate and Jack had a special bond, and Randall and Rebecca had a special bond. Kevin was left on the sidelines. Nobody knew. I really understood his point of view after seeing the scene with them playing football. Randall and Rebecca reading books like two little peas in a pod. Kate running off in a huff and Jack following her. Kevin once again left alone while the others pair off.

LOVE Beth. I cracked up when she was like, "hurry up, before they change their minds." I think she is very funny and strong. Love how she handles Randall, like when she said "I won't stop being passive aggressive" then Randall starts with "when do you ever stop being......" and she glares at him and he knows to shut up. Love it. Love the three of them bonding over drinks and venting about the Pearsons.

I think we are about to see more of Miguel's story. And it looks like my William will be back next week. Yay!

I'm just not that interested in his story for some reason.

I'm not too interested in Miguel either. I think it's clear he always had feelings for Rebecca. We know he did not "move in on" Rebecca immediately after Jack died. I think the timeline established it was about seven years after Jacks death that Miguel connected with Rebecca on Facebook. Not much more interesting to learn IMO.

I am, however, always interested in William and Randall, whether it's in the past or when they connected when Randall was an adult.

You all need to hold good thoughts for me. I'm on the list for tickets to the Tonight Show being shot in Minneapolis after the Super Bowl (a couple of weeks ago, you had to go on line and get in the lottery....I got in the very second the lottery became available, and got in...it was "sold out" within 60 seconds). Anyway, they JUST announced the guest list for that night, and (gasp) it's the ENTIRE (adult) cast from This is Us. OMG. I'd be so excited! (The other guests are Justin Timberlake and the Rock....so that's ok too). It's a smallish theatre. I'm thrilled just to be on the list, and would fall over if I actually got in. LOL.
