Films you hated as a child

I could have said "different" or even "weird." My childhood was wonderful though, and shouldn't have anything negative associated with it, but it wasn't the way other people were raised now or then.
How funny! I wouldn'T have thought twice about reading "unusual" or "weird" (or uncommon, or differnt or any number of other descriptors actually) but "singular" is such an unusual choice it stuck in my mind for sure.

Hhhmmm, it's a word I use often so I didn't even think about it. Our various semantic choices are so fun to discuss. I love hearing the regional idioms and colloquialisms.

I wouldn’t say I hated it, but I disliked Fantasia. My whole school went to see it in a theater and I was so disappointed. I thought it was boring, and couldn’t wait for it to end.

Green Berets. Some idiot thought it would be great idea to bring a bunch of kids from day camp to see the movie in the 60's. My dad was in Vietnam at the time.
Yikes.....The booby trap scene near the end will give you nightmares, poor Petersen...

I think I was in 5th or 6th grade and my family watch Ben Hur on Easter Sunday. I had nitemares for weeks, thinking I could get leprosy and would be banished to an island. A lot of my class mates must have watched it too, because our teacher had to explain to all of us, that you will no longer get that disease.

I was upset when I learned in high school the disease still exists.

Planet of the Apes (1968).....I was a little to young for it and it was very disturbing.

I was only 4 when these came out down I’m sure it was reruns I saw, but those talking monkey people scared the crap out of me! I still don’t like them!

I have no idea how to do it lol

You click the "insert" symbol (between the film and camera icons at the top of the reply box) and select spoiler.
It will ask you to input a title, which is what shows up on the button, and click <continue>.
Then you type what you want hidden in between the brackets, like this - [...]HERE[...]

Jaws. It's not so much that I hated it but that it scared the crap out of me.

As an adult I've grown to really like the movie--have no idea why that changed. However even nowadays being in bodies of water with no way to see exactly what is around me still gives me some unease--I'll do it just gives me a bit of uneasiness.

I wasn't a young child when it came out (I was 15) but I really cannot stand elf I just do not see the appeal of it and I actually like Will Ferrell.

Another vote for the Wizard of Oz. I hated those flying monkeys and was convinced that a green faced witch lived in my closet FOR YEARS. I made my dad check the closet every night when he tucked me in. Ugh.
